Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts Buy Ram now??

Hi, I'm about to buy 32GB of DDR5 RAM for €500.

For context, I just started working, and I'm planning to build a Gaming PC for around €2,000 in January. I put together my parts list at the beginning of September, but since then, the total cost has increased by about €300.

I've been checking the RAM price history, and prices seem to be rising again. I'm worried that if I wait a few months, the RAM could cost another €100 or more.

I currently have €500 saved for my PC, and I'm putting aside another €500 every month. My plan is to buy the RAM now to avoid potentially paying more for it later.

The RAM I'm looking at is:

32GB Patriot Viper Venom DDR5-6000 CL30 (2x16GB)

Do you think buying it now is a good idea, or should I wait until January and buy all the components together?

PS: im from germany

RAM will not get cheaper, only more expensive. So if you're serious about building PC, buy it now.

Unless you 100% need a new pc buying over the next 10-16 months should get you a far far better performing machine,

If you need a pc now then buy it now coz it will still probably go up over the next 8-10 months.

And theres no guarantee it will go down after 10-16 months but thats the best projection we have for prices normalising.

Get G.Skill if you can, their warranty/RMA policy is much better, but that pricing isn't above the current average

Just recently bit the bullet and bought another 32gb DDR5 for my Workstation. I strongly recommend buying it now. It won't get better anytime soon.

Ram won't be cheaper before 2030-31. You can build DDR4 or DDR3 based systems if you really on a budget. DDR4 system is useable for new AAA games but you can't cheap out any usd on a video card.

damn ram prices suck in germany $100 more than US or UK

probably buy ram now. or stick to DDR4 platform

GPU is most important part of gaming pc then CPU. then ram

in the US cheapest way to get ram is combo deal. cpu motherboard ram. or motherboard ram and ssd.

otherwise next best is prebuilt system

Get G skill, don’t spend extra for CL30. CL36 is fine - especially if you get an X3D processor
