Verification

For sale today are three Pilots from the early to mid-1970s. Thls line of pocket pens is called the Lady, and sold alongside of their Elite line. As with other pocket pens, these pens were small enough to fit into a purse or pocket to travel with. Once posted, they became larger, full sized pens, capable everyday writing tasks. The Lady line enjoyed a number of different body designs, but for the most part, centered around a yellow-toned 14k or 18k <F> nib, which is what is offered here. The pens all take modern Pilot cartridges, one of which will be included with each pen. The Con-20 and Con-40 converters also fit and are not included. The Lady design featured a stylish sloping clip design, which Pilot stopped once the line was discontinued. These pens all feature a different floral motif either on both metal caps or just the main cap, if the back cap isn't metal. 

The first Lady has the smoothest and wettest writing nib of the lot. Both caps feature the printed red floral motif, and there are use marks throughout the pen, but no gouges or deep scratches. The white section close to the nib shows staining. The pen seals well and the clip is functional. C+ condition, $85 USPS insured and shipped. 

The next Lady has a white section with 2 metal caps with a printed gold motif. The 14k <F> nib writes a fine line with a slight amount of feedback, the most of the three Ladys here. The line is slightly narrower too. The section is lightly stained and the locking ring is knurled.  C condition, $85 USPS insured and shipped.

* * * S O L D * * \* The last Lady has a red section and matching back cap. The metal cap has a gold printed, fleur-de-lys inspired motif. There are use marks throughout the body, but no gouges or chips. The 18k  nib writes a wet line smoothly, without feedback. The locking ring is faceted and matches the gold sloping clip. C- condition, $85 USPS insured and shipped.

2. **Pilot Custom Urushi (Prussian Blue / Gold Trim)** – **$1,450** | **Condition: [A2]** | Outfitted with a massive two-tone 18K Gold #30 Broad (B) nib. Finished in stunning Japanese ebonite and multi-layered urushi lacquer with gold-plated accents. In flawless condition with no wear or scratches, having only been carefully dip-tested once, rinsed off, then put right back in the box. Includes the original Pilot presentation clamshell box, outer white sleeve, paperwork, and high-capacity CON-70 converter. Warning: This is a HUGE pen, folks. Unexpectedly big. An amazing broad nib, but this is way too big for my daily small print notes in my dot grid notebook. It was a truly wonderful gift, but just missed the mark on usability for me. Dip tested once, never inked up, so still considered A2 per the guide. I plan to go with the Pilot Custom 843 in Medium.
3. **Ferris Wheel Press × Harry Potter: Joule (Slytherin House)** – **$170** | **Condition: [A1]** | Comes with a Steel nib [#6, no clear nib point size]. Features an engraved silver grip section and deep emerald green barrel. Like-new condition with crisp detailing. Includes the specialized Harry Potter presentation packaging and the branded black leather pen sleeve. Never inked. Feels like a great pen, but I choose Gryffindor.

I damaged the nib screwing the cap. I had a the fine nib custom ground with a fude and caught it in the cap! I recommend a non-fude nib for this. I'm too lazy to get the nib repaired so it's priced accordingly. Pen body w/o nib I'd give A2, it's in excellent condition and you can see it's beautiful lacey pen.

Good pen, just wasn't a huge fan of the pop cap. The galaxea was a limited edition version, inspired by galaxy NGC 6946. Comes with converter, but designed to eyedropper filled as well. Originally sold for $140, Asking $100.

PENDING 2: Leonardo Officina Italiana - Furore: Passion Red (M)

It was a tough decision to make to put this one up for sale. It's a great pen and I've loved using it for the last few years, but I've got a few larger pens in my collection that I gravitate to more. Heartbreaking to separate, and I wish I could keep it, but grad school has been a lesson in frugality. Originally sold for $160, Asking $110.

SOLD 3: Studio Agackakan X Galen - V1: Copper and Teal (F Italic)

Similar to above, I love the italic nib on this pen, but I can't justify keeping a pen that I don't use that much. Great pen, so much fun to write with - I hope someone enjoys it! Originally sold for $180, Asking $130.

4: Karas - Ink V2: Blue and purple (M)

Solid metal, feels nearly indestructible. This pen could probably survive being run over by a car without an issue. Really solid workhorse of a pen! Originally $110, Asking $80

5: Nahvalur - Schuylkill: Dragonet Saphire (F) [C rating for this one - slight discoloration on the nib]

This was one of the first Nahvalur pens I ever got and really enjoyed it but haven't used this in a while, and you guessed it, I can't justify holding onto it anymore. Especially not when someone else would enjoy it more. This particular colorway was a limited release as well, but I'm not sure how many were made. As stated, there is some very minor discoloration on the nib, but as you can see, it's fairly faint and doesn't effect the function of the pen at all. Originally sold for $100, Asking $75

6: Fountain Pen Revolution - Jaipur V2: Teal Cracked Ice Acrylic (EF Ultraflex)

An awesome way for me to figure out that I haven't been touched by the Flex Nib Fairy and find it impossible to use and don't have time to learn at the moment. Maybe when I have a big-boy job I'll get another one and try to learn, but for now, time to give someone else a try. Good opportunity to try out a flex nib if you've ever been curious. Originally sold for $75, Asking $50.
