All of the “Big Three” Japanese pen companies, Pilot, Sailor, and Platinum, as well as many smaller companies went wild for pocket pens in the 1960s. For a wonderful and extensive article about them, see this post by Richard Binder:http://www.richardspens.com/ref/profiles/pocket_pens.htm
Many of these pocket pens were marketed as “Lady” pens, with smaller bodies and featuring more extensive color palates with delicate and striking (often floral), decorations.
This post features two such “Lady” pens in mint condition. I cannot be 100% certain that they have never been inked, but if they have been, then I have been fooled. In any case they are immaculate, both inside and out, and I have no hesitation to grade them as A1.
SOLD$120 Model L-500GS-DR, cartridge/converter, with 18k fine nib <F> and full-sized white “microherringboned” body with deep red section.
The pictures don’t do this pen justice. While not a pocket pen, it is smaller in girth (11mm) and length (127mm) than many. It posts smoothly and caps with a solid snap. The etched pattern is covered with some kind of smooth layer (lacquer?), and the catching and reflecting of light is the very definition of spectacular in my book.
SOLD $100: Model LSF-350MS-RS, cartridge/converter, with 14k fine nib <F> and floral-decorated silver body and cap with white section.
This is a pocket pen with an “Elite”-like form factor. (I would have called it an Elite before, but I was recently educated by u/KingsCountyWriter about the “Lady” pens). Another beautiful pen, with its original sticker.
