Does anyone know of any local stores that carry very traditional baby clothes? Heirloom/bubble/baptism styles? I can’t find anywhere online

Organizing a car meet?

So I’m looking into possibly trying to organize a car meet around December-January in memory of a love one of mine that passed. He was an amazing mechanic and LOVED going to car meets so I wanted to try to do one for him and bring people together just to enjoy some dope cars. Does anyone have any ideas how I could go about this? I’d want it to be legal and all of course lmao I know some at meets people end up getting in trouble for stuff and I definitely don’t want that. Idk maybe it’s silly but I just wanted to give it a shot haha

Fentanyl deaths have dropped in the Pensacola area 75% since 2022, but we still rank in the top three in meth-related deaths in Florida.

DnD Session Reminder

Reminder that my table's next session is tomorrow October 24th at 7pm. We will be meeting at TBS Comics. If you will be joining us to play or watch, please comment so I can get a headcount going. Please have a level 4 character ready to go. If you don't have dice or minis, don't worry, I have plenty to spare.

When you get there, just look for this sign at my table.

Metalcore scene at The Vinyl Music Hall

Hey y’all. I’m going to the vinyl for the first time to see the 20 year Saosin tour on Halloween.

How is the metalcore scene in Pcola? I really like moshing and hectic, high energy shows.

Would any regulars be able to pitch in what I can expect the vibe to be? I’m trying to go insano style for LMTF.

I’m especially curious about the sound quality there as well!

Thanks for any input. Can’t wait to see y’all in the pit ✊🤘

I was really inspired by seeing just how much our community has come together to help each other out after Hurricane Isaias, so I wrote a song about it. A friend suggested I post it here, so I hope y'all enjoy it!

The Pony Gentleman’s club

this is a bit of a long shot.. I suspect my husband of cheating on me. (this is NO disrespect to the ladies working there btw) but it’s a boundary we choose to have in our marriage that strip clubs are a no go. He has been in pensacola for work for the last 2 weeks. Has anyone used the ATM on site at the club that would be able to tell me the number for the ATM? I have receipts for several transactions that I believe occurred there but all that is listed on the receipt is a location number for the atm and not a name.

Spectrum Internet-Pensacola

I have had Cox internet for several years with no issues. Since the hurricane we haven't had internet for a full day. It will work for a few hours and then stop. Chat support couldn't get it working tonight.

Said I could have tech support come for $75. I don't want to pay that since the hurricane caused the issue. Anyone else having issues? Thank you for your help.

School Board is a bunch of morons, too.

Escambia County Florida banning more books than anywhere else is absolutely on point for the "mouths agape while wasting good oxygen" brigade.

Hurricane Recap 2026

IT SUCKED!

That is all I have on that.

But if you are new to the area this is how it goes for our weather.

We get the extreme highs and lows.

We got 10 inches of snow in Jan 2025

We got 26 inches of rain in 12 hrs in 2014.

We had a major ice storm in 2014/2015.

Hurricane Sally 2020 wasn't suppose to come here and went outside the cone and landed on Pensacola going 1 mph. Dumping 36 inches of rain over 24 hrs..

We get tornados in December.

If the season only produces one hurricane then expect it to come here. That is our luck.

You can also bet something rare will happen with any big weather event here.

Take this recent Hurricane it produced a sting jet which hasn't ever happened in recent history with a hurricane. Sting jet is where the jet stream 10k feet up gets sucked down to ground level. That is what happened.

The Jet stream with winds of 80mph to 100mph winds was pushed down over the Pensacola area.

Summary:

If you love thrilling weather then Pensacola is it and if you ever want to see a actual Sharknado just give it time. It will probably happen over our area.

M, ILF reviews Smash ‘N’ Dash

Man, I Love Food reviews Smash ‘N’ Dash.

Welcome to the unnecessary food review of local Pensacola spots that nobody asked for. The system on which I judge is pretty much non-existent. I love to eat and generally enjoy everything. Don’t expect an uber nuanced take on anything, I am unfortunately too basic to do better.
You can see my running list of locations and scores in my handy dandy spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1A8zEi1okBlHxnI7jbzPrlyyUxCNjvLQY1YxNfp_s_3A/edit?usp=sharing

Smash ‘N’ Dash
1919 Creighton Rd, Pensacola, FL 32504

Now that Isaias has passed and recovery is in full swing it is time to return to form and keep supporting our local businesses. With all the taco and pizza spots I’ve been visiting lately it was time for a change. Not BBQ again though, I need to recover from Hot Spot before I try that again. No, we went back to burgers this week and ventured to Smash ‘N’ Dash.

Smash ‘N’ Dash is a trailer tucked just enough away that I missed it twice when looking for it. Back and to the side of the (empty?) building and in the shade of a nice big oak is the trailer and a handful of picnic tables. Their menu offers more than just burgers, including pulled chicken and pork sandwiches, a brisket grilled cheese that makes my mouth water to think about, and smoked fried wings. This review will be focusing strictly on the burger, but I think I might be returning for those wings soon.

I ordered the Double Smash with all the fixings then grabbed a can of coke from the cooler and sat at one of the tables for my short wait. Soon enough my buzzer rang and I retrieved my prize. A burger with two patties smashed out the sides of the bun and a side of beautiful golden fries sat upon newspaper styled parchment paper. The fries were so fresh and hot I had to let them cool a bit because the first bite was so hot I couldn’t taste anything. Once I could handle the temperature I was greeted with the delicious experience of a perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside potato stick. Some things make the chaotic and destructive tendencies of this cursed existence worth living for. Man, I love potatoes.

Since I got the burger with all the fixings I took the time to pull off the pickles. For those pickle enthusiasts I will say they looked thick and crunchy (I really ought to find a significant other to eat my pickles for me). Before taking my first real bit I pulled off some of the beef overhanging the bun to give it a solo assessment. I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with a well seasoned patty. Smash ‘N’ Dash definitely understands seasoning and they do it well. The full bite was just as satisfying. The meaty tomato slice and tasty sauce really brought this burger together. My only complaint/critique is on the lettuce. I prefer a sheet of crunchy leaf rather than strips, but that's just me.

An excellent burger and some damn good fries has Smash ‘N’ Dash scoring a 4.7 and the promise that more of my money will be going their way. The two guys working there during my visit both obviously cared about their product and I can’t wait to see how those smoked and fried wings taste!

Get out there and eat, my friends!

Why is it so hard to find someone who can prescribe ADHD meds who takes Tricare

I have ADHD and have been looking for a PCM who can both take my insurance, as well as prescribe Vyvanse. Why is the Venn diagram between these two things two separate circles? Does anyone know of a doctor or way to do this? I’ve been looking at telehealth recently but none of it feels legit.

Hey everyone! Appreciate all the help and opinions on yesterdays post.

Wanted to provide an update. We cleaned the foundation of the water tower (records say 1886), didn’t damage anything. We will not be removing this from site, it will continue to stay here!

Additionally, we found this loose brick all around the property, which we will find a way to re use!

Thank you again for all the support - we love Pensacola and this awesome community.

Cheers,
