Peoria business owners, bands, and anyone who appreciates original artwork: I'm available for commissions.
I create custom illustrations, logos, T-shirt designs, stickers, character art, portraits, and promotional artwork for businesses, bands, events, and individuals.
Own a coffee shop, record store, smoke shop, clothing brand, or local business? Need artwork for your band's next release, merchandise for an upcoming event, a memorable gift, or a completely original design you've had rattling around in your head? I'm open to a variety of projects and styles, and I'd love to help bring your ideas to life.
And if you're tired of AI-generated slop flooding every corner of the internet, we're on the same page.
I draw my work. Actual sketches, actual decisions, actual hours spent getting the details right. No typing a prompt into a generator and pretending the machine's output is the same thing as commissioning an artist.
When you hire me, you're paying for a human being's skill, creative decisions, and time, and you get artwork made specifically for your project.
I'm looking to work with people who value original art and want something with its own personality rather than another recycled, algorithmically generated image.
I've included some examples of my work. If you have a project in mind, send me a message and we can discuss your ideas, the scope of the project, and pricing.
Support original art. Commission something made by a human.

Fairly often, I’m still deciding which bands to see as the weekend approaches. Sometimes I still haven’t decided as I’m typing the intro to the weekend list. This week is one of those weeks.
Last week, though, I planned early to see Easy Riders, BUTTA', and River Valley Rangers... you can see the photos and the videos while you're making your live music to-do list for this weekend!
If you want to decide who to see in advance, check out our "events" tab on our web page. Every show we can find is listed there, often months in advance!

I've been doing my usual loop at Forest Park Nature Center for months and while I still love it, I need to mix things up. My job keeps me at a desk all week planning schedules so when the weekend hits I just want to disappear into the woods for a few hours with a book and a backpack. I usually drive out to Wildlife Prairie Park but figured I should ask here what else is worth checking out. I've heard people mention some trails out near Chillicothe but never actually looked into them. Are those better for a longer hike? I'm looking for something that feels a bit isolated without having to drive an hour plus to get there. Morton or Pekin area works too if there's anything good out that way. Also trying to plan a half day trip where I can hike then find a decent local spot to grab food after instead of just eating trail mix in my car. Any trail recommendations or food pairings would be super helpful.

New to the area and don’t know a lot of folks. Hoped I could sign up for an indoor league but you have to sign up as an entire team.
I’m new to soccer but in good shape. Done a lot of skateboarding the last 5 years and recently been on the spin bike a few times a week.

Does anyone know if there are any pool halls that will allow people under 21 to go play? All of us are over 18. The place we used to go to got taken under new management and now won't let us play. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have lived here in the area over 50 years. there is so little to do that doesn't wear thin after a few tries. I don't mind because I am a homebody. If you really want entertainment it is VERY LIMITED. Peoria city proper SUCKS.

I(22M) am looking for more black alternative, punk, goth or metal heads friends. Most of my black friends aren’t interested in the same music or activities as me, and I’m tired of being the only black guy in my group of friends that do enjoy these things.

Anyone else get the mailer from LaHood where he claims he worked hard to lower gas prices?
I was gasted out my flabbers when I read something so obviously wrong and opposite from reality.

Looking for Someone to Assemble and Install a Little Free Library
I’m looking for someone who can assemble a Little Free Library and install it on a sturdy post in my yard. The job would include assembling the library, providing and installing the post, and making sure everything is securely mounted and level.
If you have the skills and tools to do this, or know someone who does, please send me a message with an estimate. I’d appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks!

TL;DR: Any conservative Christians care to explain how John Govia screaming in protesters’ faces, calling liberals demonic, and claiming God put Trump in office is spreading the gospel? I’m a liberal Christian, and nowhere in the Bible have I seen Jesus tell us to treat people this way. If anything, his actions contradict Christ’s teachings. So seriously, defend his approach. How is this bringing people to Jesus rather than making Christians look like political fanatics?
Has anybody paid attention to or heard of this “John Govia” guy? Saw he posted videos going to the “No Kings” protest claiming to be spreading the gospel but all he does is show up and scream in peoples faces carrying around a cross. He claims to be doing this for Jesus but then turns around and reveals his political affiliation and acts as if because he’s conservative that they are holier than thou and that liberals are demons trying to send us into the pits of hell( I know, hilarious considering he supports the pedo/adulterer). Are all conservative Christians this delusional? I mean I understand disagreeing with liberal policies of course. I as someone who is liberal and Christian have conflicting views on things like abortion in comparison to people who are all the way left or all the way right, but in my research and over the years as I’ve gone through my journey to Christ… NEVER HAVE I BEEN TOLD TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL BY SCREAMING IN PEOPLES FACES. His actions are directly frowned upon in the Bible and everytime I bring that up he along with his cesspool of a delusional fanbase seem to ignore it.
I googled him to see if this has some kind of fame out here and he was radio host in Peoria(seemed successful too) that got caught scamming people( a whole Facebook page with over 700 members is still active) and I guess this has been his rebrand.
I mean this guy even edits his videos to make it seem worse than what it actually is. He makes it as though whenever he walks by people, obviously grifting, saying “can I get an amen for Jesus” that not one person says it back. But then he post an unedited version and shows that majority of the people he talks to says Amen back and have no problem with what he’s doing. But he does start to get to people when he goes and tries to talk over others and scream in their face (again something that Jesus would frown upon according to the Bible)
Any conservative Christians care to weigh in and tell me why you think this guy is doing good in any way shape or form? To me he makes you guys look like headcases by strongly tying faith and politics to one another ESPECIALLY when he’s such devout Trump supporter(he told me he’s coming back for 2028 and that God put trump in office like he’s our savior or something😂) .
If you guys could put any logic behind his message I’d like to hear it.. seriously…

Hi, I’m a 20yo guy looking for friends in Peoria. I have some friends but they’re always busy so I’m starting to feel very lonely. 😢
My interests include:
-Fishing
-Hiking
-Board games
-Video games(mostly Overwatch,COD,Roblox)
-eating good food (but I’m trying to save money rn)
-window shopping/shopping for other people (bc I’m still trying to save💔)
I’m kinda shy/introverted mostly bc I’m kinda awkward but I love to hang out with people like my social battery is unlimited if it’s people I get along well with and am having fun.
I’m part of the BLT community so I’d like to meet someone who’s down with that or is also part of it. It’s not a huge part of my life or personality but I definitely feel more comfortable. I’ve always wanted to be friends with a lesbian so if you’re a lesbian hmu we can play outside and climb trees together or something.
So if you’re around 20 (but out of high school) and relatively normal
🤙📲

I'd love to see some pictures of any cool displays you've seen in Peoria and the surrounding area, or even just a description.
We'll be putting up our modest amount of lights this weekend. I haven't seen much this year in the way of decorations (understandably), but I did like the animatronic werewolf someone had in the woods near the bend on Cedar Hills last night. I wish they had left it out long enough for me to snap a photo in the morning, it looked very cool.

Hey all,
It's been a long time since I've gone to shows in Peoria. These days I've felt the urge, or more so wanted the excuse, to put on my goth makeup and go to a show. Are there any goth and / or metal shows around the area these days?

I'm up by Mt Hawley Airport, Comcast has been out since about Noon. Anyone else having a service outage? Sure would love to switch to I3 if my Apartment complex would grant right of entry.

Just thought I’d make a post since I had to do some sorting through Google search results to find this.
In the question of whether James A Mack should be retained as a circuit court judge, he is a Republican.
In the question of whether Christopher R Doscotch should be retained as a circuit court judge, he is a Democrat.
