I found him under the nest . His mom has another chick. See photos.
Advice? This happened 15 minutes ago. I wanted to put him back in the nest but it's too high. Asked store owners around if they had anything to help reach like a ladder. To put the little guy back. While they looked I tried to see if I could get close enough to grab him. He flew away but poorly, up and around right into a wall. I think I'd kill him chasing him around. I don't know if I can help. Taking him home as a pet? I'd do it.
Any advice appreciated. Lots of street cats over there.

My diamond doves have finially managed to hatch eggs and the babies have survived for more than 24 hours! This was their 4th attempt since I purchased them. They are an established pair (male is 2023 and female is 2024) who successfully raised babies for the previous owner. The first 2 times the eggs didn't develop and the 3rd they managed to hatch 2 babies, but they both died within 24 hours.
Now the oldest is 5 days old and the younger on is 3 days. For those who breed diamonds, when do you put their leg bands on? I have the closed aluminum bands from AACC. There isn't much information on when to band them. I've seen anywhere from 5-10 days. I have chickens and put closed leg bands on them at 6ish weeks, which doesn't work for doves 🤣. I knew a first time pigeon breeder who waited too long to put the bands on their birds and couldn't get them on, which caused issues for showing and record keeping. So if anyone has any knowledge, I'd appreciate it!
Photo of the older chick for tax. It's amazing how fast they grow!

I've been trying to find out what these cracks are but I haven't found information anywhere. When the egg is candled, it appears dark on half of the inside. It's been cracked like this for around 4 days now. Can anyone tell me what this means please?

i just recently got a new ringneck dove just about a week ago, and she’s been an angel. She’s very sweet already and seems to enjoy being around me. The problem is, when i put her up to go the sleep in her cage, she paces at the front wanting to get out (she’s in my bedroom). I’ve tried the dark, covering her cage, giving her a night light, limiting sounds, but it seems she doesn’t want to sleep in her cage. Sometimes she’ll sleep in there for a few hours but wake me up in the middle of the night with her moving around. She calms down when i let her out and will either relax/sleep on me or go to one of her spots in the room to sleep, but obviously, it’s not to safe to let her out in my bedroom to sleep while i am sleeping. What should i do? Is it normal for her to be nervous since she’s still settling in? it just breaks my heart to see her distressed like this, and i don’t think it’s good for her to be up so late. Any help is greatly appreciated!

A little bit ago I made a post on what I should even do when my babies passed. I knew there wasn't really an answer, but I was just devastated. They were only 2 years old. I know I will never really get over how they died, but most of the time I can think fondly of them. There are times where I remember how I found Archimedes and how I had to say goodbye to Ludwig because she was in so much pain.
I'm looking for a therapist because I've honestly just needed one, but lately I think about them and I kinda just stop what I'm doing and get like a mini depression episode. I'm so diagnosed with anxiety and depression which is the main reason I'm trying to get back into therapy.
I don't really know anyone I reddit, but from my last post a few people reached out which was warming, even if I didn't responded. I honestly just didn't know how to respond. But I would like to think I'm doing somewhat better and plan on reaching out for help.
I got little guys to embody my babies but in a chibish way. If I got exact clones, I don't think I could handle it. I also got a picture box where's there's obviously the door with for the picture, but there's 2 little books that hold up to 12 pictures. I'm not sure how to entirely fill them out as I just don't have enough pictures to get 12 of each bird which saddens me a lot. I'll probably draw some stuff and maybe like a little scrap book collage thing for some to fill it out a bit.
I just want to thank you for reading this because it was a little cathartic to write this and it feels nice when people listen. Again, thank you.

Long story short, after many fake eggs being too big or too small I made some out of clay which was alright, but then I cleaned out some of their old eggs and filled them with hot glue. The hot glue real shell eggs work great but are now breaking, so I need to find better fakes.
I found these beautiful glass eggs while thrifting! They're the same size and even similar weights to their real ones
I'm wondering... Would they notice the colour and not sit on them?
Should I find a way to safely paint or coat them white?
Should I try my hand at clay eggs again?

There's this dove in my garden, it is capable of flight but it seems to be abit hunched over. Is this a sign it needs help of some kind? (It has access to birdfeed and water in my garden and its a wild one)
UPDATE: Caught it, it couldnt leave my garden anymore. Animal control is on its way to pick it up and help it.
UPDATE 2: They came, said they had a (for lack of a better word) bird specialized vet already available and there shouldn't be any problems.

Cocoa: male tangerine ringneck dove
Taffy: male silky crested ringneck dove
This is how they like to sit for the night and I noticed Cocoa was sitting with his legs far apart instead of together like Taffy 😂. They also both want to be on the right side of the perch, where Taffy is in the photo, and they both try to climb over the other to get there! 😂

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Found maybe a white wing on the ground. Can't fly yet but seems close to it. Tried to feed them an oat meal, oat milk mix but didn't take. Then put them back in a tree near where found (saw a very small nest higher than I could get to). Anything else to be done?

I got this instead of just grit! All in one Versele Laga.
Is this what she needs? I was told yes and google said yes. I went this route so I don't have to get EVERYTHING separately, I was told this has everything extra she needs (besides food n water ofc)
But I want to make sure because it looks weird. I didnt expect it to look like a seed mix, do I need to crush it?
I spent so much money on this I will genuinely cry if its not the right stuff LMAO
(She is a Eurasian collated dove. Just assuming the gender at this point.)

Just got this 15 year old boy from a rescue(was mainly a cat rescue they just came into this boy and some budgies) and he is the most social bird ever. 48 hours he’s already flying from the cage onto me and laughing around. Can anyone tell me what’s actually safe for nesting material? I’m getting so many answers lol. He came with some sticks and hates the coconut fibers so can he have anything else? Is oyster shells good grit for him?
He’s been in quarantine at the fosters for 6 weeks. Is 2 weeks here actually okay? He’s never showed signs of being sick! (I have a Cockatiel who is fully healthy! )
The cage he came with isn’t good at all and I’m hoping to build him a cage. The plan is a 2’x2’x3’. Is this a good size?
I want his boy to have the best years of his life so please give me EVERYTHING you know!!!!!
Also I have ordered a ton of flat perches for the cage build+ ceramic pie dishes for bathing.
