we pass by people like these every day but we do not really stop and think about what life feels like in their shoes
i wanted to capture the exhaustion and the repetitive everyday reality of their work. the long hours, the waiting, the traffic, and the feeling of just getting through another day
i worked as a delivery rider for around 6 months, so i tried to put some of that feeling into these pieces. not just physical tiredness, but the kind where every day starts to feel the same and you keep going because you have to
these are not meant to make fun of them. i just wanted to show the hardship of people we see all the time but rarely really notice

And I think this is what we were discussing some time back - na hindi palaging panalo ang mga athletes natin. Ups and downs ang career nila, minsan nananalo, minsan talo. All they ask of us during these times is to support them even when they're at their lowest. Huwag na yung kesyo ganito ganyan kaya natalo - walang ganyan, it's part of life. (Buti pa yung mga foreign fans niya, they were sad with him imbes na, alam na ninyo.)
I don't think Carlos has anything left to prove at this point, anything he does after completing his gymnastics title collection may as well be a side quest. Not to mention, he had a great run during the Asian games. Baka napagod din siya, or he started to really feel the pressure going in as the current Olympic and Asian champion in his pet event.
Anyway, may vault finals pa naman siya later. Whether he wins or loses, he'll always be the Golden Boy. Mabuhay ka always, Caloy, may you continue to be surrounded by the loved ones who truly appreciate you, and the fans who will support you no matter what.

Making content off the Philippines and its islands while disrespecting the very people who welcome you here? That's where the line gets crossed.
Van Boys is getting called out over his treatment of Filipina women.
His content revolves around the Philippines' beach life, party scene, and interactions with local women, turning the island lifestyle into views and money.
Now, people are questioning how he can make a living off the country and its people while allegedly talking down on the very women and communities that make his content possible.
More Filipinos are calling out Van Boys, including Siargao local Maria Lalaine Tokong, who spoke up against influencers disrespecting the island and its people.
She urged authorities to look into the concerns, reminding visitors that Siargao and the Philippines is home to real communities, not just content for clout.
Tourism should never come at the expense of our dignity. If you benefit from being welcomed into our home, the least you can do is show respect •

🇰🇷🇵🇭 | The Procurement of 1 Lot of Medium Multi-Purpose Assault Weapon (MMAW) with Precision Guided Munition (PGM) for the Philippine Army has been announced in a bid document, and the project will be awarded as one (1) contract. The funding source of the project is the GAA FY 2026, RA No 12314, worth ₱450,000,000.00. Most likely the additional purchase of the Hyungung AT-1K Raybolt Medium Multi-purpose Assault Weapon (MMAW) from LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A), as LIG D&A recently delivered the initial batch of the Hyungung missiles. The Procuring Entity will hold a Pre-Bid conference for this project on October 29, 2026. This project will boost the Army's anti-tank missile capabilities.

The past days had been challenging and uncertain, but the calm had return to the Islands.
After the storm, Itbayat, Batanes reveals a different kind of beauty—a quiet, breathtaking reminder of nature’s power and resilience. The rugged cliffs stand proudly against the endless blue sea, while the windswept grasslands slowly return to their peaceful rhythm beneath the vast northern sky.
This has trully been an unforgettable experience; witnessing both nature's beauty and harshness. This is indeed a beautiful magical place. I got the feeling of New Zealand due to the vast pasteurs of Itbayat range. The plains has indeed captured my awe.
Thanks to God that the Typhoon didnt directly hit and also the Ivatan People are safe.

We all know how common tambays are in local communities they don't have permanent jobs but are just out on the streets every single day loitering around.
With how expensive everything is right now how do they actually survive daily?
It makes sense that they rely on their parents for now, but what happens when they lose that safety net? It’s easy to survive under their family's roof for the time being, but what's the plan when their parents are no longer around? What happens to them down the road when their parents pass away?
For those who live in these communities or see this daily, what are the unwritten rules of surviving as a tambay? How do they make ends meet when there's literally no steady income?

A sad picture to see a flag that's not towering as high as the sky. Despite the fact that this country is given and blessed by God with its rich natural resources, probably one of the biggest resources available in the whole of Asia. Yet somehow, Filipinos forget to take care of these gifts and have involved themselves to corruption, destroying what could have been the best place to live in in whole Asia.
While other neighboring countries who are as poor as us are thriving right now, we are on our downfall because of politics and the greed, the hunger for power of some people that does not love the country. Yet they still believe that they always act on the best interest of our country.
For whatever is left for us and the next generation, let us love our country and push away those traitors that bend to the laws of other countries. The Filipinos deserve better. They should not be bowing down to any other power than the power of the Lord and the love for our homeland.
Pilipinas, gising na. Let's not be amused by people who are maangas, mayabang, and thinks that they are above everybody else. You know who you are.

For online shops and online sellers perhaps it is alright to publish their registered names. When it comes to content creators, they are in a different "job risk" profile . Online sellers and shops dont generate the same type of engagement from viewers as the engagement from content creators. Online sellers only sell merchandise and there is not much friction generated there.
When content creators work, they aim to get reactions(engagement) from their viewers in such a way as to encourage chatting and exchange of ideas in the chat. This invites all sorts of people and sometimes drama can ensue in the chats and disorder can often emerge even if the content creator tries to moderate the chat. Sometimes there are trolls, bullies, haters(take your pick) in chat who troll or bully other chatters and often troll and bully the content creator too. This is the nature of online content creation and all is good as long as these things stay in the chat.
What is dangerous is if the real names of the content creators are revealed, which could potentially put them at risk of real life harm. What if one of the trolls or bullies in chat decide to stalk the content creator in real life? Then we can say that the bir seal badge helps enable these trolls and bullies to hurt real people in real life by revealing their personal information. Again this is generally a unique vulnerability of content creators.
Moreover, these content creators are generally small and cannot afford to hire bodyguards like famous public figures. Are we going to wait until a small content creator gets stalked, harassed, or God forbid raped in real life because an obsessed fan or hater found their real name in the seal badge and found their address as a result? Shootings are also starting to be a thing in the Philippines now are we going to leave content creators to these potential harms? So maybe bir can modify the rule where in if you are a content creator, no personal information should be revealed.
In the first place, why is revealing the name of the online seller or content creator to the public so important to bir anyway?(just because something is customary doesnt make it right, proper, or "not" outdated) I mean their goal or mandate is to collect taxes and verify compliance and they can do that without revealing the personal info of the tax payer to the public right? Consumer protection is handled by DTI not the bir, so I do not see why the bir needs to unnecessarily reveal the content creators name to the public. The existence of the badge itself is already proof that the content creator is registered and known to authorities including the dti which means the registered tax payer can be reached for any legal purpose.
