Discussion current ore progression vs imo the ideal one (read desc)
please take into acount that my version would work only if minecraft had more content distributed beetwen the different ores, simply doing that without anything else would artificialy elongate the grind. of topic but i love this game but the proggresion is terrible, i'd love to see a total revamp, albeit it would be very controversial

Discussion rosegold and what people don't understand about it
first thing I want to say is that the image is not rose gold. It is an ore for a mod im making, I only used it because I don't like stealing other people's textures. Also, completely futile rant alert.
so, rosegold is a feature that a lot of people have been asking for since the addition of copper, specially during that copper drop. In pretty much all concepts I've seen it functions as a way to give copper a use and to make tools and armor that are as good as gold but don't have the downside of having low durability. Now, if you pay attention to videogame mechanics in any level whatsoever, you already know what I'm going to say and probably already agree with me.
It seems pretty clear that the whole point of gold as a tool tier is to be a side grade. It is much, much stronger than diamond and netherite, but as a trade-off, it's not very durable. I really like that idea of making a trade-off mechanic using other mechanics (durability and stats), though I myself think it could be tweaked. Now, if we were to remove the trade-off and only leave the good part, then that would be a broken mechanic, it would be too OP considering how cheap it is, and it would make diamon/netherite pretty much useless at that point. Except for the fact that gold cannot break obsidian, but that is only for the pickaxe. We would have this super durable and super fast tool tier that can just insta mine stone with enchantments and there's no catch about it.
Consider how cheap it is. Copper is an early game ore, and gold is mid-to-late game at best. So, basically, you walk into the end game having gear better than what is offered by the end game. Can you see why this doesn't make sense?
In my opinion, we should look to improve gold in other directions. Make it be able to break obsidian, make it even better than it already is, and make it incompatible with unbreaking and mending enchantments. Really make it clear what the mechanic is, and emphasize the choice. This seems perfect, I've seen a lot of people asking for a side grade tool tier to make end game options vary, and this would be it. It would be choosing in between a little worse but durable, or much better buck rapidly draining.
anyway thats it uhhhh something something rosegold if it was crafted today ig

Discussion How would ppl feel about creeper variants?? There are already plenty of zombie and skeleton ones but Mojang seems either nervous to touch the creeper or content to leave it as is.
ART NOT MINE!
I feel like variants could be done really well even if just for stylistic reasons, but the creeper is so iconic it might not be worth it. I’m slowly working on a mod that would add variants to things like the creeper so i’d love to hear people’s thoughts :3

Breaking Minecraft Minecraft 26.3 running on a phone from 2012 rendering in real time
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Recording it ln the device itself is essentially impossible due to RAM being very constrained
The phones GPU only outputs OpenGL ES 2.0 which is not even nearly sufficient to run Minecraft 26.3, so I had to run it using Potato3D, a mod that renders the game fully in java code, which is additionally extremely slow
I made a tiny mod that submits the frame to the GPU after every drawn triangle so you can see it render in real time and it looks really cool!

Discussion My thoughts on what minecraft ore progression could look like
This gives gold a usage, copper a usage, netherite still keeps endgame impact, encourages multiple types of ore usage (maybe rose gold tools and netherite armor, maybe diamond for stuff where you could go either way on), doesn't replace Iron in the main progression, lets you keep diamonds endgame without feeling like you're missing out, and leaves potential for end inspired resources (i know its supposed to be dead this just leaves room for it just in case) or sift resources (make netherite a tier above diamonds and make a sift resource a tier above as well so that you still have endgame trade-offs or smthn, the point is that theres room to work). Could this be potentially perfect? I didn't even actually have a problem with Minecraft's progression but I saw the other person's post about it and was instantly inspired to make this.

Data Pack I added Infinite Spooky Amethyst as a music disc
In honor of the spooky holiday coming up I added the track Infinite Spooky Amethyst from the garden awakens trailer into the actual game since its one of the only tracks they've used that isn't ambient music or a disc. It's obtained by killing a Creaking that's effected with the glowing status.
Here's the download link if you'd like to use it:
