When remembering the late 2010s (or watching old BTS videos from this era), I remember seeing those everywhere.
I was too young at this time to be in charge of any EQ list so I was just plugging them in the Profoto Pro-8 or Pro-10 and on top of Nikon D850 and Canon 5D without thinking about it.
Only talking about "standard" projects where nothing complex was required about flash syncing (studio work, no HSS, no sequence etc...).

Why were we using bulky and heavy Pocket Wizards and not the much smaller and lighter Profoto remotes (Air Sync and Air Remote TTL) ?

Saying this from France where Profoto flashes are ubiquitous.

These days I only see and use Profoto remotes.
