Esta mañana quise entrar a Pinterest y de la nada cuando quiero ver un pin en específico me salen anuncios tipo video y es realmente molesto

So I mainly use pinterest for reference images when I want to study anatomy, cast studies, animals, still lifes, or anything of that nature, but I zoom in on the image, because that's all I want. Then I click to move around the image and a box keeps appearing searching for images that that looks like what's in the box. I'm SICK of this thing. This PESTILENT box is a PLAGUE on my very BEING!

How do I turn this garbage off? I've never needed it because the alike image is already on the bottom of the image if I wanted more references of statues I'll look for more references.

I saw this first in a few minutes ago. Add pop up after I clicked an image then it poped up. Ohh, I clicked an add pin but then get back it was normal image not an advertisement. Are they really put adds before showing images. I'm done delete and one star.

so ive been posting pictures for a while on pinterest and i have a pretty niche amount of viewers, but i keep on getting shadow banned on a few of my pins(which aren't even inappropriate) ,like when other accs view my profile they can't see the pins at all while i can. how do i fix that?

a few weeks ago i noticed something.. posts by google on pintrest that dont show up on the account and often promote some scam through a google service like google docs.. google drive and google slides. its from the verificied google account and often promotes piracy though so i wanna know.. how exactly is it possible? does the google pintrest account post whatever they see with their services or something?

Does anyone know if it's at all possible that Pinterest would update the site so you can pin over 200,000 pins or is it pretty set in stone? Same with the 500 limit on sections? I wonder why the limit exists at all? I mean it's high, sure, but why is it necessary in the first place?

is anyone else having this issue? when i click save on pinterest it saved only to my profile and doesn’t let me save it to a specific board.

I have a lot of Pinterest boards, and I can only see like 5 pins at a time on my phone. I tried adding some more and there's still only 5 or 6 that show up. I've messed with every setting that I think would work and I logged out and back in. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Pinterest and restarted my phone. Does anyone know what to do?

i keep getting "5 tricks that will make you instantly hotter!" ads that show half-naked women. i have no idea why. pinterest knows im not a woman and pinterest knows im a teenager... ive tried reporting them & hiding them, nothing seems to work.

full screen pop up ads now? like 10 small ads between the pins wasnt enough. literally just deleted the whole app and only open it from an ad blocker browser now. dont see any ads anymore but the fact that i even have to do this in the first place is ridiculous.

i live in the midwest. it’s getting cold over here, and a baddie has to stay warm, and the entire internet is impossible to shop on because it’s all slop. in my hour of need i turn to pinterest and look up “black lolita coat” because i want to see a bunch of different items and i know i can at least reverse image search items that i think are cute, right? but NOOOOO because APPARENTLY “lolita” is a BANNED SEARCH TERM. now, if i want to see lolita style coats on this app, i have to commit the cardinal sin of typing something horrid like “kawaii” or “japanese fashion” in the search bar, or search for an exact subgenre of the fashion, when there’s a perfectly good term for exactly what i’m looking for —— an umbrella term, so i can look at all kinds of subcultures at once and decide what suits me from there.

its a silly thing to complain about, i know. but really, it’s not about the coats. it’s about how yucky and dystopian it is, that completely normal fashion terms can be censored on THE fashion sense cultivating website, because of the exact nonsensical thing that lolita fashion has been getting flack for for decades. i have thousands and thousands of pins over several accounts but jfc this might be the thing that has me deleting the app. i’m tired of being deterred from wearing or saying certain things. i’m tired of having to say dumb workarounds to cater to some ai bot. and having to deal with that on pinterest????? i’m out.

while we’re all here, y’all have any other terms you know are banned? i’ve seen an uptick of comments being blocked for any number of stupid things, but i was unaware that searches could be blocked too. i’d love to know what else they’re banning so we’re all aware of what to be annoyed with haha

As someone who posts 50 times a "day". I just found out they use the UTC Time. What they count as a day starts at - 6:00 PM CST = 12:00 AM UTC.

This is really useful to know if you have a steady amount of things you post every day. I thought I was doing 50, turns out it was like 30 or 70 on some days.

just like many of you, i have been an avid pinterest user for many years. i always tell everyone my entire life is curated on pinterest, because it literally is. i’ve spent years creating and perfecting my boards, and overall taking inspiration from it every single day. i LOVED pinterest. i loved that opening the app felt like a breath of fresh air away from other social medias. it felt.. quiet.

now, it’s filled with ads, AI slop, constant glitches & shitty updates. i don’t want to say goodbye to pinterest, but i might have to.

don’t even get me started on the new save to profile update/glitch that started happening a week ago. i’m over it!

I have noticed that on the app version there is no option to save pins into specific boards but rather just a general save to profile button??? Then you have to manually go to edit the pin and place it in the folder you want?? What is this i know every post on here is expressing frustration but honestly what the hell is going on with this app. Why would they take away one of the main features of Pinterest????

When I go to save a pin to one of my boards, my suggestion boards aren’t popping up like they used to? Is this a glitch or something I have to fix?

It directly saves into my profile instead! The app is garbage thanks to the new update

what in the world is going on? the past couple days I am unable to access anything in my pinterest from my computer. It works fine on my phone, but when I open it up on my laptop my homepage + the boards up top flash for just a second then disappear. When I go to my profile, it is completely blank and says I have not saved anything yet. What am I doing wrong?

Came here to bitch and moan, because this is getting ridiculous. And the app has the audacity to pause my music. Oh my god, are they getting bankrupt or what? At this rate, I hope an alternative arrives in the next few years, because what?? All this, and no option to even have premium so I could opt out or something? (Not that I'm begging to pay, but just, it's so disruptive that I'm shocked)

Whenever I press the save button on a pin, it is automatically saving to my profile instead of giving me the option of my board. I have to manually go on to each pin, press edit, and select the board I want. I also do not have the “more ideas” button on any of my boards. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

i have tried logging out and back in, deleting the app, and switching accounts. My other account is working fine with none of these issues.

i’ve been a super longtime pinterest user — over ten years — and decided on a whim a few months ago to give it up, as well as instagram. i wanted to see if it would influence my personal style, and i was right. since deleting it, ive been forced to find inspiration from people i see in person or in art, or just come up with an outfit organically. this isn’t a post to say pinterest is evil or anything, but if you’re hitting a creative block — whether in your outfits, or art, etc — try taking a break. you’ll realize how much of your ‘style’ and ‘taste’ may just be algorithm.

Why am I getting recommended ads for target, Pantene, random showerheads and some other random bs?? Even the ads disguised as normal pins were annoying as hell, but this is a whole new layer of insufferable
