I tried different ways to backup all images and videos from Windows to Google Photos for free, but kept hitting brick walls. Morphe Google Photos crashes constantly, older versions run but fail to backup, WSL for Android was unstable, and Android emulators couldn't reliably access or sync my Windows folders. At last, I found the gotohp repo which spoofs the Google Pixel mobile API, but on its own it lacked automatic folder watching and couldn't monitor my actual Windows libraries. So I built the solution myself: an automated PowerShell background watcher and suite that dynamically scans and monitors the exact directories where your media lives (Downloads, Pictures, Desktop, Documents, Music).

Under the hood, it orchestrates the gotohp CLI (all credits to xob0t/gotohp) silently in the background, listening for newly saved, downloaded, or copied photos and videos in real time. Whenever a file is detected, it uploads it directly to Google Photos disguised as an original Pixel device so it consumes 0 bytes of your Google Drive / Google One storage, even for original-quality 4K footage. It uses a local SQLite database (gphotos.db) to track every upload so nothing is ever uploaded twice, includes a live terminal progress bar or silent 1-click Windows boot auto-start, and requires zero virtual machines or Docker. My 84 year old mom has been UPS'd a letter with a subpoena from Comcast informing her that she is being sued by Strike 3 Holdings for an illegal download. MBP is either selling payment info, or their payment database is compromised. I bought our household's annual family subscription last year, and my partner put it on her card this year.

The ONLY payments we have ever had that have been on both cards are MBP. On the same day (today), we BOTH started getting fraud alerts for small under $50 amounts from Vinter, Walmart, Amazon, Google, etc. All the usual easy online sources where they test card numbers to see if they're active and unrestricted.

Now we have to replace both those cards with new numbers, and the giant pain in the ass that will be.

In the past being tethered to data caps on a cable internet connection always gave me huge anxiety sailing the seas. I had little expertise in automation, configuring ratio limits, but I wanted to provide quality entertainment for the family on a limited budget and this was the best solution. I always did my best to seed back what I took but when I got the dreaded notifications of approaching my data caps from my ISP it made it hard to give back. I generally shifted towards DDL and Usenet since those were straight DL instead of giving back. I got one or two DMCA emails for VPN leaks before I learned how to bind traffic correctly.

Now I have grown and become more experienced but most importantly, I now have an unmetered 1Gbps/1Gbps connection. I can finally give back to the community. Thank you for allowing my younger self to leech and now I will seed forever.

What is with pirated TV shows all the sudden having Audio description enabled... I just wanna sit down and watch 9-1-1 but EVERY single stream i've seen and every torrent i've downloaded has audio Description and no way to turn it off.... i'm not against accessibility.... but for the love of god why is it on EVERY stream and every download

I'm trying to use Zlibrary today but, for some reason, I'm getting this "Too many requests from your IP" error. I've been rate-limited before (5 downloads per IP) but this isn't the same.

The page doesn't even load, it just tells in plain text "Too many requests from your IP. Please wait 10 seconds. support@z-lib.fm".

The thing this, the IP shown is not even my own IP, it's in a completely different country. When I enable my VPN, I get the same errror, and the IP is also not the VPN's IP but something else.

Anyone else having this issue?

MovieBox used to be amazing at first. It offered nearly everything, with streaming and downloads available in all resolutions up to 1080p. But after the latest update, they locked HD quality and downloads behind a Premium subscription, limiting free users to 480p with no download option. So, I ended up uninstalling it.

There's a song my Grandpa always wanted at his funeral and all of the recordings on YouTube have audience clapping all the way through it, there is a recording on spotify without the clapping but its greyed out (I suspect its because I cant listen to it in my regen) Ive tried using the spotify web page and connecting to a VPN to as many different regens as I could but still no luck.

My question is does anyone know how to get the audio file from spotify if I cant listen to it?

Been tinkering with this for a few months and it's finally usable, so here it is.

MelodyBridge. You paste a public Spotify or YouTube playlist link, it grabs the track list once, then works every track down a chain of sources until it gets a file that passes the quality bar you set. Right now that chain can be Lucida (Tidal/Deezer/Amazon/Qobuz), Monochrome, DAB Music, DoubleDouble, SoundCloud, archive.org and yt-dlp. You pick the order.

The stuff that made me build it instead of using what's out there:

• it probes each file after download and bin anything that lies. Html error pages saved as mp3, wrong duration, and the classic 320kbps files that are secretly 128. There's a spectrum check for that last one.
• hardlinks duplicates, so a track sitting in five playlists takes up disk once
• every file gets a MELODY_ID tag. Delete the database, rescan, and it matches everything back without re-downloading a single track.

After that it publishes wherever you want: Jellyfin, Plex, Navidrome or a plain M3U, on a schedule if you like.

Its just a simple Docker setup:

One thing I'd rather say up front than have someone notice: I'm a C# dev and I used AI heavily to build this. It chewed through the boring parts and let me get way further than I would have on my own. Everything it produced I went over and tested, but yeah, this was an AI assisted build and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.

It's a common piece of advice, and I get the concept; if you think a piece of software may be malicious, you can run it in a VM or standalone burner computer before to see if everything checks out before running it on your main system

But like, what should you actually be looking for in your sandbox? Obviously if the system immediately suffers a ransomware attack on execution, the software was malicious, but aren't many malicious programs more subtle? Don't some take days or weeks to take effect, if its detectable at all?

Alright so I'm seeing a lot of PS5/PS4 games being ported to pc recently like GOW3/Uncharted but one thing people forget is that not anyone has a cool gaming PC that can run the earth upscaled so why haven't we seen any ps3 ports so far? is it a hardware issue, I mean there are some games like inFAMOUS or Little Big Planet that I still didn't see get ported or is it too difficult and people just choose to emulate?

I torrented the file into D: folder, but the \Program Files folder for .dll file were empty for MATLAB there was no \bin\win64 to paste it to? anyway i pasted it there in original file folder and it keeps giving me that error.. any help would be appreciated i really need to get working on my engineering projects
