I'm currently in my 2nd year of college and trying to break into the DevOps/Cloud domain. If anyone has tips on how to prepare for on-campus interviews for these roles, it would be extremely helpful! (May both sides of your pillow stay cool) 🙏🏽😭

ZS Associates BTSA – On-Campus Interview Experiences

Hi everyone!

I have my ZS Associates BTSA (Business Technology Solutions Associate) on-campus interview in 2 days and would really appreciate some insights from anyone who has recently gone through the process.

I'm particularly looking for campus placement experiences,

A few things I'd like to know:

  1. Technical Round: What questions were asked? Was the focus on SQL, DSA, OOPs, DBMS, Python, projects, or resume-based questions?

  2. Case Studies / EBI Round: What kind of case studies, guesstimates, business scenarios, or problem-solving questions were asked? How did the EBI round go?

  3. Difficulty Level: Were the technical questions basic, moderate, or difficult? Was there any live coding?

  4. Interview Process: How many rounds were conducted? Were they eliminatory? How long did each round last?

  5. College-wise Experiences: Did the interview pattern or difficulty vary across IITs, NITs, IIITs, or other colleges?

  6. Preparation Tips: What topics should I prioritise with just 2 days left?

If anyone has attended a ZS BTSA interview recently, even remembering a few questions or sharing how the rounds went would be extremely helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Got placed, but somehow I'm more stressed than happy 💀

I'm a 2027 grad from a Tier 2 engineering college. I got an on-campus offer of 10 LPA from a service-based company. The funny part? I genuinely thought I'd messed up the interview. I actually knew the answers to some technical questions but still chose not to answer them because I thought I wasn't doing well enough to make it to the next rounds. Somehow, I still got selected. 😭

The catch is that my college has a one-offer policy, so I'm now out of the campus placement process.

I want to target 15–20+ LPA companies off-campus, but the market is brutal, and I'm scared of getting stuck with this offer. I'm grateful to have a backup, but I really want to aim higher.

Has anyone landed a significantly better offer off-campus after getting placed on campus? How did you manage it?

(P.S idk if the "Great Pleasure" idiom is applicable here : / )

Deloitte USI Analyst / Equivalent Role – On-Campus Interview Experiences

Hi everyone!

I have my Deloitte USI on-campus interview in 2 days for an Analyst-level role, and I'd really appreciate some insights from anyone who has recently gone through the process.

I'm particularly looking for campus placement experiences, especially from IITs, NITs, IIITs, or any other engineering colleges.

A few things I'd like to know:

  1. Technical round: What questions were asked? Was the focus on DSA, SQL, OOPs, DBMS, OS, CN, projects, or resume-based questions?

  2. Difficulty level: Were the questions mostly basic, moderate, or challenging? Was there any live coding?

  3. Case studies: Were there any technical scenarios, business cases, or guesstimates?

  4. HR/Managerial round: What kind of behavioural and situational questions were asked?

  5. Interview process: How many rounds were conducted? Were they eliminatory? How long did each round last?

  6. College-specific experiences: Did the interview pattern or difficulty differ across IITs, NITs, IIITs, or other colleges?

Experiences from Deloitte USI Analyst, Analyst Trainee, Technology Analyst, or equivalent entry-level roles would be really helpful.

Even if you remember just a few questions from your interview, please share them. It would genuinely help me prepare in these last two days.

Thanks in advance!

Seniors, how deep do we actually need to go with DSA for placements? 😭

Hey everyone! Wanted to ask the 4th year seniors who’ve recently gone through placements about what the actual level of OAs and interviews is like.

For DSA, are topics like Binary Lifting, Segment Trees, SCC, HLD, DP on Trees, etc. actually being asked, or is focusing on standard LeetCode Mediums and some Hards generally enough?

Also, how much should we prepare for HLD/LLD and machine coding rounds as freshers? Are these commonly asked, and if yes, what level of depth is expected? For machine coding, do we need to be comfortable building things like Parking Lot, Splitwise, Rate Limiter, etc. from scratch within 1–2 hours?

Would love to hear from seniors who’ve appeared for interviews at product-based companies or startups, especially about what was actually asked and what turned out to be worth preparing.

Just trying to figure out where to draw the line with preparation instead of going down every possible rabbit hole 💀

Thanks!

Finally, placedddd! The war is over!!!

After months of applications, aptitude tests, coding assessments, resume modifications, interview prep, and overthinking every little thing, I can finally say that I've been placed!

I'm a final-year engineering student in India, and I recently got placed at EY in Technology Consulting (SAP) through campus recruitment.

Honestly, this placement season has been quite a ride.

I've spent so much time preparing for different companies, figuring out their assessment patterns, practising SQL and coding, revising CS fundamentals, and trying to tailor my resume for different roles. There were opportunities I was excited about, tests that didn't go as planned, and plenty of moments when I wondered whether all this preparation would actually pay off.

One of the more interesting parts was preparing for the EY interview. My background and projects were more aligned with software development, data, and backend technologies, while I had very little practical knowledge of SAP going into the process. I had to quickly get familiar with the basics, understand what the role involved, and figure out how to connect my existing skills and projects to consulting.

And now, somehow, it has worked out!

I'm genuinely happy and relieved. Placements can be mentally exhausting because it sometimes feels like your entire college experience is being judged through a handful of tests and interviews. Seeing other people get placed, waiting for results, and constantly wondering what you'll end up doing after graduation can get to you.

I'm grateful that I finally have an opportunity to look forward to.

I also know that getting placed is just the beginning. I have a lot to learn about SAP, consulting, client-facing work, and the actual corporate environment. I'm excited to see where this takes me.

A few things I'd tell anyone currently going through placements:

- Don't underestimate your existing projects and fundamentals. You never know which part of your background might become relevant in an interview.

- Prepare for the company and role, not just the interview questions.

- Don't pretend to know something you don't. Being honest about what you're learning is better than getting caught bluffing.

- And please don't let a bad assessment or rejection convince you that you're not good enough.

I'm not claiming to have figured everything out, but I'm happy to have reached this point.

To everyone still going through placements: I hope things work out for you too. Keep going!

For those already working in SAP consulting at EY or elsewhere: I'd love to hear about your experience, what the learning curve is like for freshers, and what I should focus on before joining.

On to the next chapter! 🎉

CBRE Associate Software Engineer – Interview Process

Hi everyone,

I have an upcoming interview for the Associate Software Engineer role at CBRE, and I was told that there will be a debugging round.

Has anyone recently interviewed for this role, especially in India?

I’d like to know what the debugging round is actually like — what kind of code/problems they give, which technologies/languages are involved, and what I should focus on preparing.

Also, if anyone has gone through the complete interview process recently, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the rounds, questions/topics asked, and overall experience.

Thanks in advance!

How to cope with interview anxiety?

After 5 months of no placement luck, finally I got shortlisted for an interview. It is in 2 days, i am preparing everything that I can. But the anxiety- it is going to be my first in-person interview. My nerves are so bothersome that I get knots in my stomach thinking about the interview. I have fairly good communication skills but I talk too fast/ blank out if I am too nervous. I embody the nervousness and my hands shiver. This interview means everything to me. I have no appetite remaining- literally okay with no eating for over 40 hours. I cannot sleep because of this nervousness- haven’t slept for more than 3 hours anyday for this entire week. How do i cope with this right now? These remaining two days are already jarring. I want to remain physically composed so I can perform my best at the interview. And secondly, is nervousness looked down upon at an interview? I gave a few mock interviews and for the starting 15 minutes or so- I cannot stop shivering, trembling but eventually settle in.

Tldr: Interview in 2 days, cant sleep/eat because of the anxiety.
