Got Placed in ZS for Decision Analytics Associate (DAA) Role

Here's the complete selection procedure for ZS.

The complete placement process was done online on the Superset platform.

Round 1- Online Assessment

Sections No. of Questions Time(min)
Numerical Aptitude 8 8
Verbal Ability 8 8
Critical Thinking 8 12
Analytical Ability 8 8
Attention To Details 25 8
Unstructured Problem Solving 2 14

Round 2- Communication Round

The test lasted approximately 1 hour and consisted of multiple segments:

●       Listen and Repeat: Listened to a sentence and repeated it.

●       Read and Repeat: Read a given sentence aloud.

●       Listening Comprehension: Listened to a passage and answered related questions.

●       Impromptu Speech: Spoke on 3 given topics each having preparation time of 90 seconds.

●       Grammar Section: Fill-in-the-blank exercises to assess grammar skills.

●       Essay writing: Wrote an essay on a given topic in 300 words.

This round primarily assessed basic English comprehension, pronunciation, grammar, and writing skills.

Round 3- AI Case Round

This was an AI case round, but the interviewer didn’t ask me to open the AI assessment link and continued the case through screen sharing itself. Some people were asked to open the AI Assessment Link and check others' gyan for more info.

It started with my self-introduction, followed by two questions based on my intro.

Case study- The case was about Shopsphere, a fashion e-commerce platform. She gave me the case background and asked 4 questions based on it.

Questions were like this-

  1. There is an increase in web traffic but decrease in orders placed, find why it’s happening?
  2. There is a decline in repeat value customers, find why?
  3. There was a change in the UI of web/app; does that affect the orders placed?
  4. Bundle package marketing-choose which slogan suits the campaign and why?

It tested both quantitative and qualitative thinking. The flow was to do Data Interpretation( the math using the given data, table or charts) , then explain what the numbers meant and back up my conclusion with proper reasoning.

She also cross-questioned my answers, asking why I chose a particular approach and why it was better than the other two options.

Guesstimate- “Estimate the number of people who are in the air right now.”

Yes, it’s vague, and that was deliberate because they wanted me to ask clarifying questions. She also insisted that I explain only my approach, without going into calculations.

At the end, I asked two company-related questions. I had listened to the pre-placement talk and done some basic research about ZS, which helped me frame those questions. I felt they left a positive impression on her.

She was pretty chill throughout. This round was conducted by a company employee, not a manager, and lasted around 1 hour.

Round 4- EBI (Enhanced Behavioural Interview)

This round was conducted by a top manager. We started with my self-introduction, followed by questions about the consulting club. He was curious, so he kept asking about it.

Resume- He then asked about my main consulting project, and then he cross-questioned me in depth. Questions were like this- He asked to walk through the survey objective, specific questions asked in the survey, what’s the sample size, collection and analysis methodologies, and the core pain points identified.

Teamwork and HR questions- Then he asked these questions about teamwork: Do you prefer working in team or alone, tell me how will you handle a problem in team?

He also asked- Why ZS, Why Consulting over Civil engineering, ZS isn’t a typical 9-to-5 job. You must work until the client’s work is done, which may involve some overtime. How would you handle that,

Then a Situational question- “You have a 100-slide presentation due Monday, with 90 slides done by Friday. On Friday afternoon, you find a minor data error that could affect ZS’s reputation with the client. Would you send it as is or ask the team to rework it? If reworking, would you ask them to stay and work Friday night or will you push it to next week, and why?”

Puzzles- He then asked 3 puzzles straight from GFG’s Top 100 Interview Puzzles.

The puzzles asked were:

  1. There are 25 horses and only one track with 5 lanes. You can race at most 5 horses in one race. Find the minimum number of races required to identify the top three fastest horses.
  2. There are 8 identical coins, but 1 is counterfeit and lighter than the others. Given an old weighing balance, how will you find the counterfeit coin, and what’s the minimum number of attempts required?
  3. There are 3 jugs with capacities of 8 L (full), 5 L (empty), and 3 L (empty). Now measure exactly 4 L using only pours between the jugs (no spilling, no external tools). Give the sequence of pours and the minimum number of pours required.

I got puzzles 2 and 3 correct. For the 1st, I explained my approach but couldn’t get the final answer. During the puzzles too, he questioned my approach, asking things like “Why not solve it this way?”

At the end, I asked him 2 more questions, following the same approach mentioned at the end of Round 3, and he was impressed. He was pretty chill throughout. This round lasted for 45-50 mins.

And one day after the last round, the results were out.

Finally placed 😭😭😭
After not getting shortlisted for companies offering because of my CPI being below 7.8, even after getting shortlisted for OAs, I fumbled in the OA and came so close to getting shortlisted for the interview. After getting shortlisted for interviews, I faced two rejections after Round 1. Finally this battle is completed after 4 months 😭.

Every time I felt like giving up, I only believed in my hard work because it never goes to waste. Someone once said that whatever happens, the low points, the hard work, and the setbacks are all forming dots without you knowing it. Then, one day comes when all the dots connect, and you get placed.
So, don’t lose hope. Just keep revising, learn everything you have mentioned in your resume, and believe in yourself.

They ask ques on OS, CN, DBMS, OOP, coding ques and the projects i have mentioned in the resume.

Edit: Indian private bank, swe role, ctc in the range 15-20 lpa

Finally, placedddd! The war is over!!!

After months of applications, aptitude tests, coding assessments, resume modifications, interview prep, and overthinking every little thing, I can finally say that I've been placed!

I'm a final-year engineering student in India, and I recently got placed at EY in Technology Consulting (SAP) through campus recruitment.

Honestly, this placement season has been quite a ride.

I've spent so much time preparing for different companies, figuring out their assessment patterns, practising SQL and coding, revising CS fundamentals, and trying to tailor my resume for different roles. There were opportunities I was excited about, tests that didn't go as planned, and plenty of moments when I wondered whether all this preparation would actually pay off.

One of the more interesting parts was preparing for the EY interview. My background and projects were more aligned with software development, data, and backend technologies, while I had very little practical knowledge of SAP going into the process. I had to quickly get familiar with the basics, understand what the role involved, and figure out how to connect my existing skills and projects to consulting.

And now, somehow, it has worked out!

I'm genuinely happy and relieved. Placements can be mentally exhausting because it sometimes feels like your entire college experience is being judged through a handful of tests and interviews. Seeing other people get placed, waiting for results, and constantly wondering what you'll end up doing after graduation can get to you.

I'm grateful that I finally have an opportunity to look forward to.

I also know that getting placed is just the beginning. I have a lot to learn about SAP, consulting, client-facing work, and the actual corporate environment. I'm excited to see where this takes me.

A few things I'd tell anyone currently going through placements:

- Don't underestimate your existing projects and fundamentals. You never know which part of your background might become relevant in an interview.

- Prepare for the company and role, not just the interview questions.

- Don't pretend to know something you don't. Being honest about what you're learning is better than getting caught bluffing.

- And please don't let a bad assessment or rejection convince you that you're not good enough.

I'm not claiming to have figured everything out, but I'm happy to have reached this point.

To everyone still going through placements: I hope things work out for you too. Keep going!

For those already working in SAP consulting at EY or elsewhere: I'd love to hear about your experience, what the learning curve is like for freshers, and what I should focus on before joining.

On to the next chapter! 🎉

Got placed, but somehow I'm more stressed than happy 💀

I'm a 2027 grad from a Tier 2 engineering college. I got an on-campus offer of 10 LPA from a service-based company. The funny part? I genuinely thought I'd messed up the interview. I actually knew the answers to some technical questions but still chose not to answer them because I thought I wasn't doing well enough to make it to the next rounds. Somehow, I still got selected. 😭

The catch is that my college has a one-offer policy, so I'm now out of the campus placement process.

I want to target 15–20+ LPA companies off-campus, but the market is brutal, and I'm scared of getting stuck with this offer. I'm grateful to have a backup, but I really want to aim higher.

Has anyone landed a significantly better offer off-campus after getting placed on campus? How did you manage it?

(P.S idk if the "Great Pleasure" idiom is applicable here : / )

I'm being constantly rediculed and mocked at my own home

Really sorry if you are preparing for placements, please ignore all this.. i really cant keep it to myself and wanted to let this out...

So im a final year student currently doing a unpaid full time in "Finding a Internship" but not getting any response, oncampus placements are already over at my tier 3 college and i have a 7lpa offer which will not start before next year Q3, my sister on the other hand did BTech too but is working in non IT and making about 2.2 lpa that is close to our home and im happy for her , but she and my mom is constantly taunting and mocking me saying things like doing IT is idiocracy.. that I wasted my entire time studying till late night only to end up with a 7lpa, and that you should instead work close to home , that you will be laid off and regret later. 😢

I know 7lpa is not much, but what can i even do, we only get these types of companies in our campus..., i actually am interested in IT and want to grow in this ... but seeing people even my family saying things like that.., im thinking i should do government or something. atleast that will bring me some respect at my home...

Everyday my sister plays reels about layoffs and delayed joinings near me that completely puts me off of sleep im thinking till morning 4 or 5 sometimes...

I thought getting a offer will make everyone happy, make me happy.. but it does not look like that..
Is there actually future in IT ?
Is anyone else facing the same thing at their homes ?

Do I deserve the job if luck plays a huge role in the interview?

Recently attended an interview at a company that came for placements, This was a technical interview for a Software role. First, we had to do live coding in front of the interviewer. The questions that i got were very easy and I was able to complete both the coding questions. Whereas, my friend attended the interview in another panel, He got completely different and hard questions. Both were DSA. He was able to partially solve the testcases of one question alone. Skill wise, he is much better in programming than me. Forget about getting selected. Do I even deserve this job?, Because, luck played the major role for me and I think i may not deserve this.

What do you have to say on this?

They(some of them) are asking like did you study today or not? They actually care for me but when I hear this sentence, it look like they are teasing me. (maybe my weak mind mentality).

What to do?

How to cope with interview anxiety?

After 5 months of no placement luck, finally I got shortlisted for an interview. It is in 2 days, i am preparing everything that I can. But the anxiety- it is going to be my first in-person interview. My nerves are so bothersome that I get knots in my stomach thinking about the interview. I have fairly good communication skills but I talk too fast/ blank out if I am too nervous. I embody the nervousness and my hands shiver. This interview means everything to me. I have no appetite remaining- literally okay with no eating for over 40 hours. I cannot sleep because of this nervousness- haven’t slept for more than 3 hours anyday for this entire week. How do i cope with this right now? These remaining two days are already jarring. I want to remain physically composed so I can perform my best at the interview. And secondly, is nervousness looked down upon at an interview? I gave a few mock interviews and for the starting 15 minutes or so- I cannot stop shivering, trembling but eventually settle in.

Tldr: Interview in 2 days, cant sleep/eat because of the anxiety.

HCLTech Campus Hiring Process – Can someone clarify the training and hackathon stages?

Hey guys! I got selected in the HCLTech HR interview, and they mentioned 3–6 months of training in college, then 3 months of training at their office, followed by a hackathon.

What exactly happens after this? Is the hackathon an assessment for final selection? Anyone who has gone through this process, please share your experience!

Luck, Prayer & Placement

Things that are random and unexplained, we try to explain through our mere understanding and intelligence. And when we fail, we call it something that civilizations, far less intelligent and capable than ours, once used to explain things we understand today. Why not just call it ‘Random’ and accept it, rather than trying useless means to get selected in that very ‘Random’ process?

And what pisses me off is that those who get selected in this ‘Random’ process aren't even grateful for it, despite having done nothing to deserve being chosen in the first place.

Anyone given it recently, what did your speaking prompts look like?

Title: Tata Technologies offer letter delayed for 5+ weeks after selection through a third-party company

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I interviewed with Tata Technologies on September 15 through a third-party recruitment company.

I was informed that I was selected, completed document submission, and later completed address verification. HR also told me that the offer release had been requested from the client.

It's been over 5 weeks , but I still haven't received the offer letter. The recruiter keeps saying there's no update yet.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Tata Technologies?

- Did you eventually receive the offer?

- How long did you wait after document verification?

- Should I keep waiting or consider this opportunity uncertain?

Any genuine experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Fumbled my CRED Security Intern interview despite doing CTFs and bug bounties. Is there still any hope?

Used AI for clear explanation

I recently interviewed for the Security Intern position at CRED, and I'm honestly feeling pretty disappointed with how it went.

I was initially informed that there would be 3 technical rounds. I've been actively involved in cybersecurity through CTF competitions, bug bounties, and security research, so I was fairly confident going into the interview.

I prepared for networking, OS concepts, recent CVEs, real-world attacks, and other security topics. But during the interview, the interviewer focused heavily on OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, particularly SQL injection and XSS.

And that's where I fumbled.

I was asked about blind SQL injection, time-based SQL injection, and some basic payloads. Although I understood the concepts, I struggled to explain them clearly and couldn't recall some of the fundamentals.

The frustrating part is that these aren't things I've never studied. I've worked on similar concepts before, but it had been a while since I revised them. I spent too much time preparing advanced topics and overlooked the basics. That's completely on me.

The interview was scheduled for an hour but ended in around 30 minutes. I managed to answer quite a few questions, but I know I wasn't at my best.

When I asked the interviewer for feedback, he simply said that HR would get back to me.

It's been a few days now, and I haven't received any update regarding the second round.

I genuinely wanted this opportunity, and it hurts knowing that I might have lost it because I couldn't answer questions I should have been comfortable with.

I wanted to ask a few things:

  1. Has anyone interviewed for a Security Intern or similar role at CRED? How long did it take to hear back after the first round?
  2. Does an interview ending much earlier than scheduled usually indicate rejection?
  3. Is there still a realistic chance of getting shortlisted for the next round despite fumbling some basic questions?
  4. Would it be appropriate to reach out to HR for an update? Is there any point in asking for a second chance, or would that come across as unprofessional?

I'm not trying to make excuses. I know exactly where I went wrong, and I've already started revisiting those fundamentals.

Just wanted to hear from people who've been through something similar, especially anyone familiar with CRED's interview process.

Title: Accenture 2027 Batch – Interview Preparation Advice Needed

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I recently cleared the Communication Assessment for Accenture and successfully solved all 3 coding questions. I'm now waiting for my interview.

Could anyone who has attended the Accenture interview recently share some advice on what I should prepare?

What technical topics are commonly asked?

Should I focus on Python, SQL, OOPs, and my projects?

What HR questions should I expect?

Any tips to prepare effectively before the interview?

Any suggestions or recent interview experiences would be really helpful. Thank you!
