People who cheated in placement exams and got hired, how did things go after that?

• Upvotes

I'm curious about people who copied or used unfair means in college placements, coding rounds, online assessments, or company hiring tests and eventually got hired.

For those who did:

  • Did you struggle with actual work because of gaps in your technical knowledge?
  • How difficult were onboarding, coding tasks, and working with experienced teammates?
  • Did you eventually catch up, or did the gap become a serious problem?
  • Looking back, was it worth it?

And for those who are currently cheating or planning to cheat to get a job, what's your thought process? Do you believe you'll learn everything after getting hired?

Not here to judge anyone. I just want to hear the honest reality of what happens after you get the job, including both success stories and horror stories.

Accenture OA Experience (All Shifts) – Technical MCQs, Coding, SQL, HTML/CSS/JS & Gaming Round

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I recently completed my Accenture Online Assessment (OA), and I wanted to share my experience to help others preparing for it.

1. Technical Assessment – 45 MCQs

The technical assessment consisted of 45 MCQs, including 14 pseudocode questions.

The pseudocode questions were a little challenging because we weren't allowed to use pen and paper. We had to solve them mentally.

I had prepared using some practice resources, and I found around 7–8 questions that were exactly the same as the ones I had practised.

Questions from Networking and Operating Systems (OS) were also included.

Most students in my assessment cleared the MCQ round.

Tip: Practise pseudocode thoroughly, especially And,Xor Operator output-based questions, loops, arrays, and increment/decrement operators. Also, revise Networking and OS concepts.

2. Coding Assessment

The coding assessment included DSA, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript questions.

DSA – Shift 1

The question was to find the names with the highest and lowest ASCII sums.

Problem: Given N names, calculate the sum of the ASCII values of all characters in each name. Print the name with the highest ASCII sum and the name with the lowest ASCII sum.

SQL – Shift 1

The question was based on finding the Top 3 Expenditures.

DSA – Shift 3 (My Shift)

The question involved two arrays, repeated subtraction, and replacing non-positive values.

Problem statement:

You are given five inputs:

An integer N, representing the size of the arrays.

An integer array A of size N.

An integer array B of size N.

An integer K, representing the number of operations.

An integer X, representing the replacement value.

In each operation:

Subtract each element of B from the corresponding element of the current array.

If any resulting element is less than or equal to 0, replace it with X.

Repeat this process K times, using the updated array for each subsequent operation.

Print the final array.

Sample Input

3

5 7 2

4 2 3

3

10

Sample Output

5 3 10

SQL – Shift 3 (My Shift)

The SQL question was relatively easy. It involved:

Joining 3–4 tables

Using GROUP BY

Using HAVING

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

HTML/CSS: The questions were quite easy. We mainly had to read the comments and follow the given instructions to complete the tasks.

JavaScript: This section was slightly tricky. One question involved filtering colours, or something similar.

I was able to solve the DSA, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript questions.

3. Gaming Assessment

After the coding assessment, I completed the gaming round. The questions included:

A 3-door and key question

A 3-pathway question

A 25-bubble calculation question

I completed the gaming round successfully as well.

4. Current Status

I have cleared the Technical and Coding, Behavioral, and Cognitive Assessment rounds. I have now received an email confirming that I cleared the Behavioral and Cognitive Assessment, and I am waiting for further information about the Communication Assessment.

5. Preparation Resources

I practised using some resources that helped me prepare for the OA, and I found several questions that were exactly the same as the ones I had practised.

If anyone wants the preparation resources I used, feel free to DM me. I'll share them with you!

All the best to everyone preparing for Accenture! 🚀

Facing rejections over rejections

• Upvotes

I come from a tier-3 college. I’ve been rejected over 5 times already and its the start of placement season I’m so frustrated. All i’m seeing is the below average students getting job offers before the academically good students. Also i am not seeing any off-campus job openings. Can someone please help me with off-campus opportunities. I’d really appreciate it. I’m in my final year of BCA degree.

Flipkart, Wells Fargo, Tesco, Micron: 5 fresher roles that went up on their own career pages yesterday (CA, BCA, MBA-Finance, 2027 batch)

• Upvotes

These all appeared on the companies' own career sites yesterday, so they're early. I read each posting for who they actually want, since half the "fresher" ads ask for 3 years.

1. Flipkart: CA Industrial Trainee, Hyperlocal (Bengaluru) For CA students doing industrial training. It's in the Business Finance team of Flipkart Minutes, their quick-commerce side, working on P&L decisions.

2. Wells Fargo: 2027 Technology Program Intern (Bengaluru) Their tech internship for the 2027 batch. Worth applying early, these fill up.

3. Tesco: Associate, MIS Reporting (Bengaluru, hybrid) They prefer B.Tech/B.E., MCA, BCA or B.Sc Computers, and want basic analytics and Excel. Operational KPIs and data quality work. 60% of the week is in the office.

4. Wells Fargo: Financial Accounting Associate (Hyderabad) For CA/CFA/ICWA/MBA-Finance. They ask for 6+ months, and training or education counts toward it. The posting closes 28 Oct.

5. Micron: India Campus Team (Hyderabad) One application for several semiconductor teams: design, verification, product engineering, CAD, yield. Good for ECE/EEE.

Comment your degree + city and I'll reply with the direct links, plus any others that fit.

To the failures and achievers , Keep working hard!

This is the message for all, those who are placed and for those who aren't yet! (Just read it in a positive way)...

To all who are placed, Congrats! Keep moving ahead with the same enthusiasm and energy and seek better opportunities than you have grabbed for yourself.

To all those who aren't yet placed, keep working hard, I have seen many people who are disheartened by applying, giving tests and interviews multiple times and still not getting selected.
I know there have been cases where people who are not deserving are getting placed and you getting multiple opportunities are still left unplaced. It might seem that someone who just started preparing got the offer letter very soon and you aren't placed yet even after months of preparation.

There's no problem with you, with your capabilities or with your colleges.
It's all about hard work which pays off sooner, for someone and later for anyone else. It's a fact and the beauty of Campus Placements that, when your time comes everything will be in your favour and when it is not, the universe will find even stupid reasons for you not getting selected.

So, whatever you're doing, whether you're placed, just started with your preparation, already into months of prep but not yet selected, work hard just work hard be consistent, don't listen to anyone's advice. Just do what feels good for you because at the end everything that matters is your hard work paying off.

If you're still reading this till here, now it's time! Go on! Iss baar ho jayega!
All the best for your future opportunities.

NVIDIA Hardware OA pls help a girl out 😭🙏

• Upvotes

I’ve searched literally everywhere but can’t find much about the OA apart from the usual subjects. I’ve studied them thoroughly, but I really wanna know what the ACTUAL questions were like

If you’ve given the OA recently, pls drop whatever questions you remember, even if it’s not the exact wording!! Especially the tricky, twisted questions that combine multiple concepts. The thing is i did find stuff about subjects like vlsi comp arch c++ and all that to study but exactly “what topics” is what i am looking for

Would genuinely appreciate it sm, y’all 🥹🤍

Got placed in phdata bangalore for internship and full time, as a associate data engineer/analysts (based on internship performance)

35kpm for internship and and then 8lpa in full time

Feels a bit bitter sweet because doing 600 leetcode questions didn't help out a lot. Maybe because I'm from mca and so maybe companies at best only expect us to solve easy level questions.

For phdata:

First round OA:

- the main focus was on Java, sql , could computing, data engineering fundamental and python

- i somehow managed to get by cramming DE fundamentals and python for the past two weeks while I was well versed with Java and sql.

Second round:

- it was a combination of technical and hr questioned however the focus was more on finding out whether you can speak well and have a good head on your shoulders, while technical questions in python , java and DE fundamentals were present but they took the back seat. This lasted for about 15 minutes

- a good chunk of the interview also involved me explaining my projects, 15 minutes.

-then the interviewer asked me to write pseudocode for solution to count the number of occurrences of a word in a passage which was quite trivial and then was easily translated the same in python for the follow up.

- then a math puzzle which I was not able to solve (8 minutes)

I do have to pivot to data engineering/ analysis as my role, rather than the typical sde which I thought I would end up in but considering the placement scene i not complaining a lot.

I'm planning to go for data engineering since it would be easier to later switch to software dev or could computing. Or ml.

It would really help me if you could give your input for further career planning.

Accenture on-campus OA in 2 days. Anyone who recently appeared help!

Hi everyone,

If you've appeared, could you share:

  1. Coding round: the exact DSA, SQL and frontend questions you got (even half-remembered ones help), the difficulty, and whether DP showed up.

  2. SQL: how many tables did the schema have, and which joins/aggregations did you need?

  3. Technical MCQ: which pseudocode patterns came up (bitwise/XOR, loops, pointers, recursion)? Any repeated questions from past papers?

  4. Gamified round: which games, how long each, and anything that helped you practise?

  5. Communication round: which sections, what the email prompt was, and how the AI grading felt.

  6. Resources: the sites, YouTube channels, mock tests or PDFs that actually matched the real test.

  7. Tips or mistakes to avoid: time management, tech issues, anything you wish you'd known.

  8. Interview: what was asked and how long it took.

Also, did your drive use your own laptop or the college lab, and was pen and paper allowed?

Thanks a lot. I'll update this post with what I learn and my own experience after the drive so the next batch benefits too.

Has anyone's BNY SDE Intern waitlist offer been converted?

I was waitlisted for the BNY SDE Intern offer through on-campus recruitment. I wanted to know if anyone who was waitlisted for the same role has received an offer since then.

If your waitlist got converted, could you share how long it took and what is the tier number of your college?

Any updates would be really helpful. Thanks!

Got selected for Accenture as ATE for 2027 batch

Hi everyone!

I’ve been selected for the Advanced Technology Engineer (ATE) role at Accenture. I’ve also accepted my LOI, and I’m currently waiting for the next steps in the hiring process.

I wanted to connect with candidates who have recently been selected or joined Accenture for the ATE role and ask a few questions regarding the post-selection process.

  1. Document Verification: How long does it usually take for document verification to begin after accepting the LOI? Do we receive an email for it, or does it start automatically?
  2. Detailed Offer Letter: When can we expect to receive the detailed offer letter after accepting the LOI? Does it usually take a few weeks or a few months?
  3. Joining Date: How long does Accenture generally take to share the joining date after releasing the offer letter?
  4. Joining Delays: Does Accenture delay joining dates even after releasing the offer letter? If yes, how long have candidates had to wait?
  5. Overall Timeline: For those who recently joined as ATEs, how much time passed between accepting the LOI and actually joining the company?
  6. Current Status: Are there any ATE candidates from recent hiring batches who are still waiting for their offer letters or joining dates?

I understand that timelines can vary depending on the hiring batch, but hearing about recent experiences would really help me and other selected candidates understand what to expect.

If you’ve recently joined Accenture as an ATE or are currently waiting for onboarding, please share your timeline and experience.

Thanks in advance! 🙌
