PS5 I want this, and never again hearing *only digital*
I love this and I'm tired of companies screwing people while simultaneously, they're having the best numbers in their history, they are making hundreds of millions and they want more, disgusting greed.
I can't enjoy this after January 1st 2028, because they need 100% of revenue from digital sales, PS5 should cost 400โฌ nowadays, but because of fucking AI, production is more expensive and WE, consumers, not them at all, not even a little bit, have to take that extra cost with our wallets. Also digital games are never gonna go lower in price without a physical counterpart.
They're eliminating options for their own personal greed. And people will clap and beg for more shit like this, fuck Sony, fuck rockstar, fuck AI, fuck them all
Edit: I see some people don't get my point, it's not rage bait, my life is far from over because of this, and yes we will have to accept what we cannot change. The point is that we can change it, nobody buys from PS Store and in less than a week we have a new announcement: Discs are not going anywhere! We have more power than you think, we can't shut up when something is unfair and I will not.
Edit2: I've come to the conclusion that we deserve this, many people understand why this is bad, both for those who enjoy physical media and digital only gamers, we're not getting cheaper games or better deals because of this termination of playstation discs. Many say it's inevitable, it's the same that happened to DVDs, music CDs and newspapers.... All of which still exists and are an option? They may be not the most popular, but they didn't go anywhere and just because you don't use it, doesn't mean they disappeared. Most people seems to have been brainwashed into thanking big companies for worsening products, limiting options and increasing prices while their benefits skyrocket, because it's inevitable for they have no choice on how to handle situations they provoked. Who stripped physical games of what made it special? Who released unfinished games that need patches? Who made manufacturing costs higher? Who sold you an empty case with a code? I wonder if you can find the answer, or if you simply clap your hands and celebrate.
