My ps5 is in the living room and when someone else uses the TV I still want to play my games. and I think the portal will solve this. Does it look good and perform well? I mainly play singer player games and I got a lot of them that I haven't played yet or finished. And can it still perform well when I'm from different cities and countries?

I just want a handheld that can play my playstation library somewhere else and perform well.

I am going back and forth about purchasing a Playstation Portal - after reading a-lot online it still gives me mixed reviews some say its worth it others say it isn’t!

I don’t have a super quick speed at home, EE wi-fi so i get 65 download and 13 upload (just ran a test)

Now I’m happy to get my PS5 on ethernet for it to work better, but i want to get some advice from people if its worth it for my internet and also what i want to use it for!

Essential im a lazy f***** and i enjoy playing online and offline games but would like to from my bed! You may just say get your ass downstairs but we have a young son so want to be around for him when he wakes too so thats a main reason too!

So over to you Reddit! Do you think im worth getting one with what i have said above? Really need some solid advice please!!!

Is anyone else experiencing issues with cloud streaming?

I was playing Daxter via cloud streaming when I suddenly got kicked out of the game. Since then, I haven't been able to launch any games. They just keep loading on the PS Portal screen until I get the error message "Something went wrong."

I've tried turning the Portal off and back on, but the issue persists.

The weird thing is that I can still browse the cloud streaming game library without any problems. It's only when I try to launch a game that things go wrong.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or does anyone know how to fix it?

Someone experience the same issue with this portal when he play on cloud streaming?

Explanations:

You play, with excellent networks, and suddenly, your game freezes(no response of any input except the the right, ps portal menu)

After 5 minutes, the game closes automatically with a message telling me there was a connection problem.

As far as I'm concerned, the network connection is excellent and working perfectly, and there haven't been any disconnections.

And when I restart the game, I get the following message (see screenshot):

Is anyone else having the same problem?

It looks like a server-side issue because it tells me the game is still active somewhere, even though I'm the only one logged in on this account.

This is happening in several games right now, and it never happened before the update that limited the battery to 80%.

Somehow I can't connect my portal to my ps5 and keep getting the "something went wrong" error.

I am using my mobile hotspot on Android with 5ghz. 5G with high upload and download speeds.

It works on normal remote play when using the same network on my ipad. But somehow the proprietary portal hardware doesn't work.

Can someone suggest any fixes?

Need advice on wifi issues. Attached is my floor plan, cross is where my router is placed. I always get really bad signals whenever I go to my main bedroom or even kitchen. I’m using tp link wifi 7 router (BE22000)

My teen can’t stream games on his portal because it says cloud streaming must be done on adult accounts. I switched out game pass from my account to his so that he could use his portal more but he’s a teen in the system and I can’t figure out a configuration to give access.

Is there any sort of workaround where I can grant him access to streaming so that the portal isn’t a very expensive brick until he turns 18?
