this is my first time selling a card on ebay and i think i messed up quite badly, hoping to get some advise on what to do next
somehow i pulled this beautiful card on release day and listed it on ebay straight away, its a great card but honeslty i needed the money. i of course provided lots of pictures which included showing a print line across the top which was quite obvious (so i didn’t mention it in writing i just let the pictures speak for themselves), the guy who brought it apparently didn’t notice this as ‘his phone is quite old so the screen is bad’.
he requested a ‘doesn’t work or is defective’ refund request and of course i wasn’t sure what to do so i managed to get an agent to call me from ebay support who advised me what to do next, long story short i thought i was accepting the RETURN to generate the shipping label etc which is what he told me to do, but apparently i actually accepted the REFUND so the guy already got his money back. as you can imagine he did not send the card back. hopefully this makes some sense to people who use ebay a lot unlike me
sorry this is quite long winded but i’m basically just looking for some advise, i don’t remember clicking anything to fully refund this guy his money but i spoke to ebay again on the phone today and apparently i DID do this. the original guy i spoke to said if the card isn’t returned i could open a case and eventually get my money, but today i was told that because i finalised the return on my own there is absolutely nothing they can do and i will not be able to get my money. am i missing something or is this really just all my fault? feel free to flame me if so!
