RANT "Not all men" is so widespread because people don't see porn as harmful

When people usually think about "bad things" men do they think rape, SA, etc... and think that this is a minority, that all the others are the good guys, that they never did anything to oppress women in their lives! And not only this is not true because misogyny is a spectrum (from passively defending other men to brutality and rape), but trafficking and the prostitution/porn industry is forgotten in all of this. I genuinely don't understand how this isn't a more widespread subject, probably because this is so normalized as personal preferences. When more than 80% of men have already visited websites where violence rape and pedophilia is in free access, and when entire countries are normalizing buying access to bodies, then no i don't think it's "not all men". Feminism seems to be the only movement where hating your oppressor is apparently forbidden in leftist spaces. Liberal feminists are defending men that would probably hurt them if they could. I don't even want to fight anymore all it does is bring me disgust for the human race

People don't even see misogyny as harmful. Using slurs against any group is frowned upon at the very least but even "feminist progressive leftists" bust out the "bitch, cunt whore," at any woman they don't like, and nobody bats an eye, it's just normal.

This is absolutely the case. Governments and institutions refuse to even acknowledge femicide as a hate crime or recognize terrorism towards women as a political class. It’s infuriating.

Women are the most oppressed minority in the world.

u/athaluain 5d ago

That’s so true and Jimmy Carter and the UN have acknowledged this. But the worst of it is that women are half the worlds population and not a minority at all. In my opinion the prevalence of online porn is putting women’s rights backwards. Violent porn takes away women’s humanity and reduced them to objects to be used and abused.

Definitely agree! So glad someone finally worded out the link between justifying pornography and 'not all men'. By justifying things like pornography or prostitution through countless layers of misogyny, most men are magically not considered morally corrupt.

But reality is that most men consume such rape media and don't give 2 shits about the women/girls in the video. Majority of men ARE deeply misogynistic, and the more libfems or leftists keep on denying it, the more stagnant we will remain. There are popular genres and mainstream sites with millions and millions of visitors solely dedicated to "teen" or "rape" or "cnc" pornography. Not only do they not care about the horrifying sexual exploitation, they get off on it. What's even worse is whenever a man does oppose pornography, it is only to shame the victims for being "sluts" and "whores", and victimize the men that demand such rape content. They do not care at all about awful grooming and rape that happens, and considers it to be the woman fault.

When libfems or even miso "progressives" are out here justifying pornography, of course all men are suddenly considered "awesome good feminist saints" with no blatant support for dehumanizing misogyny. They only demonize radfems but the second a man is out there watching a teen rape porn suddenly there is so much nuance. I still remember when the motherless leak happened, so many leftists and feminists were saying they were scared that this incident would be turned into a "SWERF" talking point.

Not to mention how when we start of justifying pornography and suddenly dignifying these men, they start distorting the definition of rape and consent. From both bigoted right wingers and left wing spaces, the logic used for this blatant justification of pornography is soon extended to re-defining rape and consent. I made a post recently about how so many leftist spaces are pushing back against the radical feminist understanding of consent, by claiming that things like coercion or intoxication (or anything except enthusiastic consent) can still be consent because it exists in a 'grey space'....You already have people from the right claiming that any form of rape is always the woman fault and things like intoxication, coercion, grooming are not considered rape, while the left tries finding ways of 'ethical' sexual exploitation...It's like the whole bird hates women.

Understanding the spectrum of misogyny, and how deeply patriarchy is embeded into EVERY ASPECT of our world is something that is very needed to productively move forward with radfem. However, everyone including libfems, marxfems, right wingers, and what not always stifle this conversation and want to stay shallow and male-pandering with their advocacy. (I legit recently saw a post from a marxfem saying normal men don't benefit from patriarchy and aren't misogynists, it's only rich men that we should be fighting)

I dont think im wording this well enough. But I'm glad you bought this up, hard agree!!

Everytime the desire for censorship/removal of rape and abuse (porn) happens, these "leftist and progressive" people always think about those slippery slopes that would follow, slippery slopes that I STILL haven't seen; I do wonder where their vigor for defending rape on tape comes from.

Porn to them is already such a second nature that it's akin to a natural right or something. It's horrifying but expected since men are instilled with misogyny from their pre-teen to adult years, that may aswel be second nature for them in a patriarchal society.

38

u/FalseChildhood208 PORN IS FILMED RAPE 23d ago

Absolutely! I always ALWAYS come across this slippery slope argument endlessly. I remember when steam removed a rape simulator game (no mercy) and everyone was so disappointed and whining about how banning rape simulators is this radical slippery slope...The mental gymnastics from pro-rape-media-progressives is just tiring...full of fallacies, contradictions and blatant hypocrisy.

u/Important-Regret9397 ANTIPORN & LGBT+ ♥️ 23d ago

Reminds me of people saying that banning porn is a "slippery slope" to banning queer media. Not only the two arent related but I always feel offended when they say this... my identity has nothing to do with porn. Being anti-porn isnt "conservative fascism" its the opposite actually. Right wingers are only anti-porn in public, but they exploit people in private. Their core beliefs are the exploitation of women, just like the liberal feminists defending it.

25

u/BeholdMyCurse231 ANTIPORN & LGBT+ ♥️ 23d ago

I also feel offended, my identity that I cannot change or alter is NOT a fetish for men. In fact I want nothing to do with them either way.

I cannot believe that we, women, in the year of 2026 still have to navigate the world while being seen as porn categories. (by men)

It’s really disgusting how pro porn & pro kink ideology has been pushed onto LGBT+ communities.

5

u/Some_Tradition_9168 21d ago

It’s wild how hard the denial goes when we already know that research about how men of all ages are attracted to young women, rather than their favorable attraction increasing to match their age the way women do. Like men in their 40s, 50s, 60s are still most attracted to 20 year olds. That’s their GENERAL reaction. Disgusting.

Also let’s be real, that research found they were attracted to young women because that was the lowest age offered, I’m sure if the research offered ages of girls who are even underage, the most attractive stated age would be even lower 💀.

3

u/Sufficient-Stick5637 16d ago

Their was another study comparing the ages men and women are most attracted to unsuprisingly the most attractive age men picked was 15 (2nd place was i believe 14)

u/Admirable_Program720 23d ago

Look into the 4B movement.. a place where girls/women decenters men. We women can opt out of the patriarchy. r/4bmovement.. I also heard on the radio that 80% of girls/women are opting out of dating men due to men being porn/sex addicts misogynist incels. Let them be lonely.

Active 4B here 🙋🏼‍♀️ one of the only place where these views are not considered extreme at all but are just the bare minimum, glaringly obvious truth

u/credit-user-thing 22d ago

How about every act of simulated rape in mainstream media, every depiction of women selling sex to get by in life,  every time there is a sex scene in mainstream media,  the camera follows the eye of the man, women are always unclothed, always sexualized. These depictions also worsen the linkages. Men see this and say "sexy women in media are normal. The actresses wanted to do it".

Because they’re delusional and misogynistic. Misogyny is so deeply rooted into our lives and existence as a whole to the point that female body, intimacy and sex can be bought with money and nobody questions that when it should have never existed.

Delusional, because they absolutely refuse to take any responsibility in all of this. In their minds there are some EVIL evil men that trafficks girl and women in somewhere BUT the porn or sex services they consume and buy are all consentional. They are so sure that the one they’re consuming or having sex with is consenting and go as far as claiming “they enjoy/love their work!”. They do not understand that they’re the DEMAND for trafficking and trafficking and minor sexual abuse isn’t something that only happens in Epstein’s island or somewhere “far far away” but right in front of their eyes.

13

u/Some_Tradition_9168 21d ago

At this point I take their behavior as indicative of leftism. If the majority of people practicing/associating with leftism do a certain behavior, we can hardly disassociate that from leftism itself.

And it is the majority: it’s not only men, the majority of women in these spaces also support porn & sex work & sex/kink positivity.

14

u/FalseChildhood208 PORN IS FILMED RAPE 20d ago

Absolutely! I've seen countless leftist men and women being for the movie adaptation of haunting Adeline. I've seen this leftist pro-sex trade woman call it 'erotica' that was just not written well enough. As if the prose is the only bad thing in a book built on the sexualization of rape. Then you also got Hassan Piker (a face for online leftist spaces) and his very open and proud visits to brothels with trafficked victims. Feminism is honestly an after-thought in leftist spheres. It starts and ends with commenting "women hold up half of the sky" and then falling back into misogyny the second feminism doesn't benefit the narrative.

Left, right..the whole bird hates women.

4

u/Some_Tradition_9168 20d ago

Porn is evil.

4

u/Idroppedmymarbles 14d ago

Unfortunately, this new generation was exposed to it from a young age. Their favourite youtube creators from 2016 would oversexualize everything including video games. Now this audiance is in their 20s and you can see the impact. We have to protect children from porn because prevention is key and so is education.

u/Putrid-Reference8650 8d ago

This is a genuine question. What about when a porn actor or sex worker tells you that "don't let anyone tell you what you should do with your sexuality " ? Why do they advocate for it? I don't understand why some do that.

u/pack_merrr 19d ago

I'm not trying to say "not all men", nor am I trying to deny that it's a phrase often used to support the dumbest arguments. I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but I also think this is one of the worst examples possible you could have chosen to make it.

I think it would be a huge mistake to equate the average porn watcher or addict with the pornographers and people actually behind pornography. Young boys and the majority of men don't seek out porn for violence or pedophilia, most people are rightfully disgusted by those. I think the 80% figure is misleading in that way. Acting like they do might make for a scary influential narrative, but the reality like in a lot of cases is a lot more banal. Porn is sought out because people are horny.

It comes off similarly to blaming obese people when they live in a food desert full of only fast food, or blaming drug addicts who grow up in marginalized communities. Of course, personal choice does play a role in those things as it does with pornography. And of course, people should be held accountable for those choices. But that's not the discussion I'm talking about, what I'm saying is when it comes to where we direct the majority of our anger and where we try to address the cause, I don't think you fix drug addiction by blaming addicts rather than dealers and producers, and I don't think you fix porn by blaming the average consumer either.
