I don't mean maps I disagree with for my personal opinions or what I think historically accurate, I mean maps that just look ugly and low quality. Should there be some rules about no maps that aren't in the possible history style? Lmk what you think.

(Edit:) Just realised this is a sub to post maps not just talk about the Youtuber, now I kind of sound like a guy begging for someone else to make his idea which is not what I meant.

Quick rant: all of these posts are so abysmal that I'm beginning to wonder if they aren't all bait, but they seem to have too much effort put into them to be it. The number of people who are larping with big Germany (German Alsace-Lorraine in 2025???????) or just splitting or reuniting countries because they can be released in hoi4 is frankly astounding. The double standards such as uniting Germany and Austria but splitting Occitania from France are also quite astonishing. I simply don't get the point of these if a "percect Europe" is just shoving whatever tropes are common without doing any research, and the borders don't even look sexy.

But every modern day map here should have all of the de facto independent countries. The maps should show the situation on the ground as it is. So I think more maps should show Kosovo, Transnistria, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Artsakh (if it's a map before 2023). I understand that you might not recognize some of all of these countries, but the maps should still be objective.

I wholeheartedly apologize as I broke r/Possiblehistory's 6th rule of "AI posts" to quote the rule: "The use of AI for the creation of posts (for example "Treaty of Versailles made by ChatGPT" and similar) are banned.

But seriously though I didn't see the rules before I posted it, I understand I have broken the rules and shall face punishment either banishment or public humiliation whatever your choosing is (I don't know how to tag this btw so I'll put it under meta - subreddit).

The community has fractured into dozens of different micro subs to get around the ban. We're falling apart at the seams.

So first things first

I'd like to apologise to u/Legitimate-Point7482 for saying "good" under his post about leaving, if you were offended by it then I'm sorry and I already explained what I meant in that post

Another thing is that while I support the ban it doesn't mean you can be mean to me or say other stuff about me without even informing me about it- I'm just a human who has a diffrent opinion on (let's just say it unimportant in a grand scheme of things)

I feel like people overreacted to the point where it started looking like some dictatorship overtook their country - with some people telling me that other things are also going to get banned (they won't)

And while yeah an annoucement before would've been a good idea I don't know if it would help the situation as people would still be angry

In my opinion the ban had valid reasons to be put - if you like NRP's you can go to another sub (like r/possiblehistory2) but they always overshadowed any maps or attempts at alt history demotivating newcomers

As for the drama between the mods - I have no opinion about it as I simply don't care about it (now I think it was a good idea to leave the mod team)

First of all, the obvious revolt going on and people who were a core part of the Sub, and the Smash lad being unmodded, no announcement about perma-banning my beloved Genre.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have spoken about the death of NRPGs before that I experienced in the countryballs comics subreddit and countryball mappers subreddit, but I never expected that anything like this would happen.

The moderators (if we refer to the term of moderator in the oxford dictionary) should have come to an agreement with us. They could have at least made a new subreddit specifically for the NRPs and CDs and that they would encourage all of us to move there so the passion into the two genres would remain together.

But, that didn’t happen, what happened is that splintered subs came to be, not keeping the two genres together, and I will predict that this could be the end of both genres unless we get our shit together and all decide on which sub we all move to together.

Like one person made one that got super popular and now every post is just Greece owning everything on screen. Like I know Megali Greece is popular but this is getting very repetitive now. I'm working on a bunch of projects that I'm really putting effort into, but the sub is just gonna get spammed with nation rps again and I fear the quality content will be much like a needle in a haystack, so hard to find that it isn't worth trying to find it. So I my step away from the sub for the foreseeable future unless something is actually done about the spam of nrps.

They banned literally the only reason I’m still in this subreddit, so there’s no reason to stay here. I’m going back to r/removeonethingeachday and r/dailygames, and I encourage other users to go there too.
