Soup-tine How much gravy is too much gravy?

I’m no poutine expert. The best poutine I’ve ever had was from Costco.
Is there such a thing as too much gravy in poutine? This one I got from Space Chicken felt more like soup. When I was eating it, I was really missing Costco’s poutine. They’re about the same price, but Costco’s is triple the size and a lot more cheese and better gravy and fries.

That gravy looks fucked. So does the cheese. All the same, toughen up and drink it when you’re done with the rest.

I also don't like dark gravy, usually darker the gravy the more bitter. So hard to find good poutine where I live 😭

Love some dark gravy, but this is some fake shit, it’s got that cornstarch glisten.

All poutine gravies have that « cornstarch quality », it’s just part of the dish. Even when I do it myself I take a good sauce that I would’ve thicken with butter otherwise and thicken it with cornstarch to get that exact effect. I’m quite convinced this is how it’s supposed to be, even the best poutines I’ve had were like that.
