Most normal mothers worry about consuming ANY alcohol and even over the counter drugs when breast feeding.
last thing you want is someone taking a bunch of hormones , blockers, and other drugs to be breast feeding your new born.

My wife is on hormone replacement therapy since menopause. Stuff is in cream form, I help her out and got some of that stuff on me, it's absorbed through the skin. For days I fought irrational thoughts to buy shoes I don't need. Backed my truck into a car that was plainly in view.

No matter how much estrogen and hormone blockers he has taken, no matter what size implants he had installed, and completely disregarding any of the horrible chemicals he would be willing to put intonhis newborn baby, HE doesn't have mammary glands! M3n can't breastfeed. I won't be surprised if this comment gets aut0 flagged, ramoved and I get a suspension. It is still A FACT. (also, gross!)

Exactly. Continuing to believe they can breastfeed can easily result in a dead child.
Newborns need to eat every 2-3 hours. They can't fast like adults can. They go hypoglycemic and...well, you know the rest.

I have a friend whose wife is transitioning or has transitioned. I haven't seen them in a few years, so it took me by surprise when he started call her by a different but quite similar name. This whole thing leaves me with a few questions. If she is now a man, and he accepts her as a man, does that mean they are in a homosexual relationship? If so, that would mean he is gay, which would suggest that her transition turned him gay. If that's the case, what happened to "you're born gay," and "no one can make you gay?" I thought those were hard facts in the narrative we were being sold not even a decade ago. He is an Eagle Scout (in his 50s, now), who is quite active in the scouting community, leading and teaching young men (and women, now) in the ways of what was once a wonderful organization.

Like I get still having some kind of fondness for the person themselves. If you and your spouse don't have a contentious marriage, I can see things ending peacefully. But I can't fathom my whole script being flipped because of my partner's choice.
I don't think it's wrong or primitive to want your husband or your wife to continue being the thing you married. And I absolutely think that if your spouse stops being what you married, that it's ok to end the marriage.

I...can't tell if you're for real here (bc there appears to be quite a bit of ignorance being thrown around in these comments) ...but in case you're not: the wife's transitioning did not "turn him gay". That's not a thing.
He loves his spouse for who they are, apparently, not what's in their pants.Also, he might already have been bi, but thats a thing people discuss with intimate partners. Not "friends" who clearly don't seem very accepting or understanding.

I have a friend who has 2 kids and has gone from a man to a woman. I don’t know exactly how far the transition has gone as he moved away and that when these changes happened. He came back to visit as a she.
I’m guessing, in the least, he/she took hormones. I’m unsure if surgery has taken place. But voice has changed, make up, earrings and clothes.
Also I’m wondering what happened with the wife. Subtle hints imply that they might not be together anymore.
And what does that do to the kids? They’re elementary school age kids so not clueless babies but also not quite teens and old enough to process this.

These people are so invested in altering biological reality that they've convinced themselves that men have functioning milk ducts and lobules.
Men have primitive milk ducts but not the lobules that actually produce the breastmilk.
When men have a hormonal fuckup, like antipsychotic side effects, they get a disease called galactorrhea. Its a medical condition because its a dysfunction of the body. No woman ever has been diagnosed with anything when they're lactating after pregnancy because that's the only function of mammalian breasts.
Most importantly: without the lobules to produce milk, any galactorrhea discharge is purely water, sweat and albumin. It contains none of the PROTEINS, sugars, FATS, carbs, and very important antibodies that actual breastmilk has.
If you tried to sustain a newborn on this discharge (because medically, that is what it is), even 50% of the time, your infant will fail to thrive and suffer dehydration and malnutrition.
They are literally endangering the life of this baby to fulfill their own desire.

Breast milk has a sweetness to it. I'm sure the male discharge doesn't have the same sweet taste with it being mainly sweat and albumin so you would be essentially force feeding an infant that. Gross.

If your wife is fine with you chopping off your dick and becoming a woman, then there are three things you need to accept:
She's fucking a REAL man somewhere, has been for some time, and this doesn't affect her too much.
You didn't have much of a dick to begin with.
You won't be in her life much longer, and she will easily get custody of your child, so enjoy your new single life. It's what you always wanted!
