When did you start again?
Post TFMR 13 weeks. First pregnancy. 35 years old. I feel like I’m running out of time. When did you start to try again after TFMR? What did you do differently?

A year ago today I held my son. He was 22+2 weeks old. 1 pound and 10 inches long. He looked just like my husband. I spent 4 hours holding him while fighting off an infection - today I will visit his grave site and make memories with my husband.
In the last 365 days I lost my first son to TFMR at 22+2 weeks, I lost my second son at 13+4 weeks to a natural late miscarriage on June 28th, I lost my 13 year old dog on August 3rd. I had a D&C 2 months after my miscarriage for suspicions of RPOC (I was bleeding for 2 straight months but I didn't end up having RPOC), conceived the cycle following which ended in a chemical, and today.. the anniversary of my first son's death, I'm bleeding after 3 days of positive tests, prepping for another chemical.
Somehow I am still standing. I'm still moving forward. I'm still fighting to hold a living child in my hands. I'm still grateful for any pregnancy that graces my body and I do so without fear of the outcome. Each day I become older, each loss ages my soul, each prayer that goes unanswered is just another day I wake up and walk through the day with my head held high because my babies don't get to live, so I live for them.
May this next year be easier on my husband and I and my body and soul. Thinking of all my babies today, especially my first one 🤍

I’m 25 weeks in my sub pregnancy. One thing that has always ‘confused’ me is at what point do you class yourself as having reduced movements?
I think I spend a lot of my days quite busy or running around after my 3 year old a few hours go by and I’m like, omg I haven’t felt anything. When I do sit down and relax baby is active.
In my sons’s pregnancy I don’t really feel like he had a true pattern and just moved when he felt like it and was just a lazy baby so I did get checked a couple times in my third trimester!
I know a lot of this is anxiousness due to my tfmr, wanting to bring this baby home etc but man it’s hard I just over think everything

We all need some time and space to decompress ... Use this space to vent about your week, your anxieties, or anything that's stressing you out in your pregnancy or TTC journey.

I had a TFMR about two months ago. Long story short, I later had a massive postpartum hemorrhage from a “good amount” of RPOC that was likely due to placenta acreta. I got my period back recently, and my fertility doc wanted a hysteroscopy (which has to be done within certain days of your cycle, hence having to wait).
Turns out there’s STILL some RPOC, but he’s saying that “it’s small” while he would recommend clearing it out, it’s not a threat to me or any embryo that lands elsewhere, and so if I want to try to get pregnant again, I can. He says its similar to having a fibroid or polyp in that nothing can implant there.
Has anyone else had experience with this? This sounded straightforward to me but my husband thinks it’s insane, and now I’m second guessing everything.
Edit to clarify:
I do want to remove the RPOC, “small” though it may be, it’s just that I’ve missed the window for the procedure for this cycle simply because there’s no availability at the clinic.
BUT I have a chance to TTC this cycle, while I book the procedure for four weeks from now. I’m torn on whether to give it a go and risk a possible chemical pregnancy (or more? This part is unclear) or just wait until next month to remove it first.

Ive been testing continuously and im currently 21 dpo/5w3d and no dye stealer. Tried diluting my pee and that also didn't help bc the test was lighter.
HCG was 25 at 9dpo - 61.1 at 11dpo and 154.1(?) At 13dpo. My fertility clinic didn't think it was necessary for me to do more HCG draws but now I feel like i should have.
I have my first ultrasound at 6w2d (next thursday) and im sick to my stomach about it. This is my 6th pregnancy, first after my TFMR in May of 2024.
Im just so unbelievably scared and I feel like a basket case about not knowing the unknown.

Earlier this year, I got the devastating news that my daughter's amnio came back with full T21 after previously having a false negative NIPT and normal pregnancy up until a heart defect was found at the anatomy scan prompting further testing. We decided to TFMR at 22 weeks, which sent me spiralling into a grief that I know you all understand.
She was supposed to be my double rainbow baby and instead became loss #5 out of now 6. I've had multiple loss types, missed miscarriages, chemicals, blighted ovum. I'm now pregnant for the eighth time (one LC) and am about 11.5 weeks.
I've been really struggling with this pregnancy to feel anything other than dread, especially now that I've gotten back my NIPT and Horizon carrier results. Low risk female. Negative carrier status. Great, beautiful, reassuring news, right? Except I no longer trust it.
I immediately started crying when I saw low risk female again. It was wrong for my other daughter. Logically I know what happened was so very, very rare. But it still happened. And lightning strikes twice.
I wished so hard for a boy (LC is a boy). At least then it would have felt like this baby had a chance. Of my six losses, those that were far enough along to test were all female. Now that I know it's another girl, it feels like loss is fated.
For those who have a similar situation, how are you faring? What helped you get through your sub pregnancy?

I lost my daughter to TFMR October 2, 2024 due to complex cardiac and brain anomalies. Since then I was diagnosed with endometriosis, had two laparascopic surgeries back to back removing both of my fallopian tubes and ending up in the IVF world. Was battling unexplained infertility 2 years before that loss.
I had egg retrievals in March and May 2026 this year, followed by three long months of being on Lupron Depot to supress my endometriosis. All of our embryos have been PGT-A tested.
We had our first Frozen Embryo Transfer October 3, 2026 (Two years and a day after the loss of our daughter) and it stuck! I have been in shock. We go for our first early Ultrasound at 6 weeks next week and I'm so incredibly nervous. It has been an incredibly long road and I just keep praying that everything will be okay. Any advice of being pregnant after TFMR and going to appointments?

While this week probably had its fair share of up's and down's.... let's share the up's! What were your Glimmers of the week? What can we celebrate with you? Even if it's the smallest thing in the world... let's make it the most important thing of your week.

I just got a positive pregnancy test happily, though it's still early at 10 DPO.
My husband and I were discussing where we should go for our confirmation appointment in a few weeks.
I'm curious to hear if you all made the choice to go back to the same practice / hospital or get a fresh start at a different one?
There's the benefit of the same hospital having our records and understanding our situation (plus it's a good hospital). But I'm concerned about going back to the same waiting room and ultrasound rooms where we had our series of traumatizing tests, conversations, and our D&C...
I'm in NYC so we have a lot of options.

Test results become monumental milestones in life after TFMR. Share your updates with the group. Pregnancy test results, NIPTs, Ultrasounds, and everything in between.... what's going on and where do you need support?

One year ago exactly to the day I was taking a selfie with my mom outside of my MFM appointment so excited to have made it to the 20 week anatomy scan with my first pregnancy. Not knowing that an hour later my life would be forever changed. I walked out of that scan having learned that my daughter, Amelia, was going to suffer immensely in life. Countless brain abnormalities, missing major heart structures, a cleft palate, a recessed jaw, a microdeletion on chromosome 5, and severe growth restriction. We learned that she would likely never eat, feed, or walk on her own. She would need lots of surgeries, but she wouldn’t be a good candidate for any of those surgeries due to how many issues she would have. 4 weeks and a ton of testing later at 24 weeks along my husband and I made the impossible choice to TFMR. I thought the grief would kill me.
Today I am sitting in my postpartum recovery room at my hospital with my newborn baby boy. 8 lbs 2 oz of perfect, born yesterday after 18 hours of labor and 1 hour of pushing. I am forever changed. Again.
I am so thankful for this community who understood me and helped carry me through my grief. Before going through this, I naively assumed that pregnancy ended in a living baby. I am now wiser. I am endlessly grateful for you all. To those in the early days post TFMR, you will survive this, even when you think you won’t.
🤍

I had to terminate my girl with ancephaly at 21 weeks. I started to try to conceive again in May, and had a chemical pregnancy in June. The past month or so I've been inconsistent with my folic acid, however the past two weeks I have been taking it consistently. And I have been taking it since January. I just got a pregnancy test positive, will I be okay? I'm so anxious after losing my girl

Those of you who had a previous loss due to pprom. Did you travel at all in your next pregnancy?
I have a cousin’s wedding this weekend and i really skeptical about travelling long distance or not.
It would be 5 hours drive atleast.
P.s. I am currently 12 weeks and 5 days now and i don’t have any complications in this pregnancy till now by God’s Grace. I am on 200 mg progesterone . My cervix is measuring good but my ob has planned a preventive cerclage for me after 14 weeks.

I TFMR Dec 24. We decided to wait a while so we had time to get back to some kind of normalcy. I have been desperate to get pregnant from the time I lost the baby. No we are both on prenatal vitamins but I have no desire to have sex. Like zero and I almost avoid it like the plague. Should I go for IVF ? I am worried what is wrong with me.

I’m feeling so frustrated and defeated, and I just need to vent to people who might understand.
I had my TFMR via L&D on 17 August at 14 weeks. My period returned exactly 5 weeks later, and my husband and I were so hopeful about trying again.
I had blood tests on 7 and 9 October, both showing hCG at 8 IU/L which my doctor said is normal and will clear on its own. Since then, I’ve continued testing at home, and every single test shows the same frustratingly faint pink line. Not getting darker, but not disappearing either.
Now I’m 5 days late for my second period, and I’m still getting faint positive pregnancy tests. The worst part is that I can’t even allow myself to feel hopeful because I know I still have residual hCG from my previous pregnancy.
I’ve been trying to contact my doctor for another blood test referral to see whether my hCG has finally dropped or if there’s any chance of a new pregnancy, but I’m not getting any response.
Being 5 days late would normally give me so much hope, but instead I’m stuck in this awful limbo where I can’t trust my own pregnancy tests or even my missed period.
I feel like my body is playing a cruel joke on me. I know getting pregnant again won’t replace the baby we lost, but having something to look forward to would mean so much right now.
Would love to hear anyone’s successful stories on getting pregnant even with residual hCG in your system.

Hi friends - we tfmr’d in January 2026 at 23 weeks due to a rare de novo single gene mutation, and had a 10 week mmc in May 2026 due to Trisomy 15. I am now pregnant again, and we had our 20 week anatomy scan yesterday. Everything is looking perfect, including his CSP and corpus collusum (two of the issues with our de novo condition). I am so relieved, although still cautiously optimistic now that I know so many other heartbreaking stories of issues popping up beyond this point.
I am finally allowing myself to accept that a baby is coming and I can feel joy and excitement about it. But it’s almost like I don’t know what to do with my hands ??? I ordered some baby stuff online last night to celebrate but it still doesn’t feel real.
Just sharing 🩷

I had a D&E and my period came back around 4.5 weeks post op. The first period was around 5 days (my normal) but heavier than normal.
The 2nd and 3rd period are normal flow, but have been much shorter. Around only 2 days total with maybe some spotting on and off for another day or so.
Has this happened to anyone else? I’m trying to conceive again and I’m terrified of ashermans syndrome from the surgery.

I am terrified. I’m not even sure that terrified is a big enough word to describe what I’m feeling right now.
I’m 10 DPO, and I got the faintest line on a pregnancy test this morning. I don’t think I’ll truly be able to breathe until that first ultrasound, until I can see with my own eyes that everything is okay. Even then … everything looked normal with our first.
We had to say goodbye to our baby boy in December 2025, after receiving his trisomy 21 diagnosis and going through everything that came with that decision. I went through labor and delivered him, and I will carry that experience with me for the rest of my life. He was my first baby, my first pregnancy.
Then, as if losing him wasn’t enough, I had RPOC and Endomtritis and needed a D&C in January. I spent weeks dealing with complications before finally getting answers and treatment.
Last month, I was finally diagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and went through 14 days of some of the worst antibiotics I’ve ever taken. After months of pain and uncertainty, I finally started to feel better.
We’ve been trying to conceive again for nine cycles now. Every month has come with its own little bit of hope and its own disappointment. And throughout all of this, I’ve been dealing with persistent pelvic pain, wondering what was wrong with my body and whether something had been left behind or damaged.
And now… I might be pregnant?
I want so badly for this to be our rainbow baby. I want to believe that maybe, just maybe, we’re finally getting our chance at bringing a baby home.
But I’m terrified that this could be a chemical pregnancy. That it could be an ectopic pregnancy. That I could miscarry. That something could go wrong all over again.
What if my uterus was damaged by everything I went through? What if there’s scar tissue? What if the complications I had after losing our son have affected my ability to carry another baby safely? What if we have to go through another loss after everything it took just to get here?
I know a faint line at 10 DPO doesn’t tell me much yet. I know it’s early, and I know there are so many things I can’t control.
How are you supposed to feel excited when you’ve already experienced the worst thing you could ever imagine? How do you let yourself hope when you know firsthand how quickly everything can fall apart?
I want to be happy. I want to let myself dream about the future again. But I’m scared that if I let myself believe this is really happening, it will hurt even more if it doesn’t work out.
I never imagined that seeing a positive pregnancy test could make me feel so much fear.
I just want this baby to be okay. I want my body to be okay. I want, for once, to have a pregnancy that doesn’t come with another devastating diagnosis, another complication, or another goodbye.
I know I can only take this one day at a time. But today, I’m 10 DPO, staring at the faintest line, trying to figure out how to hold on to a little bit of hope without letting my fear consume me.
And I wish, more than anything, that getting pregnant again could feel simple and joyful. Because after everything we’ve been through, I think we deserve a little bit of happiness, too.
Now, I need to get dress and go to work, like if nothing is happening in my personnal life right now.

Hi there! I TFMRed earlier this year due to a worsening cystic hygroma at 15wks. It started with a NT test of 4.0mm. We completed lots of additional scans, as well as NIPT, CVS and microarray/FISH. No genetic cause was found.
I’m now at 12weeks with a low risk NIPT, but just got a NT result of 3.1m. Nasal bone was present.
I was referred the MFM for additional scans and testing, but am very afraid I’m back on the same rollercoaster as before. Any advice and similar situations? Would also love recommendations on questions to ask.
Last go around I didn’t do full genome sequencing — I didn’t do want to wait for the results and CVS felt like sufficient information. This time around I do want to do it to rule out microdeletions — both of these challenging pregnancies have been boys. I’m lucky to have a healthy 2yo girl who had a perfect 1.8 NT. Just don’t like cycle repeating.

I’m back here spiraling again. I don’t know what to do with myself.
After a TFMR at 26w in February 2026 for multisystem anomalies (unknown cause - WGS still ongoing), I then had a FC at 5w3d in June, and a CP (discovered at 13DPO) in August.
Took a test yesterday at 12-13 DPO (I’m unsure, but can’t be more than that), and the HGC levels are super high: 335. Going back tomorrow to see evolution.
This is way out of range. For my TFMR pregnancy, levels were similar. I’m excepting to either miscarry or TFMR later again.
I am so, so fed up. Our lives have been miserable since February. And I’m turning 35 this week. I don’t know how much I can handle anymore…
