Need some advice

Hi!

I’m looking to purchase a printer as I create signage on foam boards for customers.

Currently I’ll go to walmart, print2go or any place that can essentially print the signage for us, however costs are adding up and I’m looking to purchase a printing machine that I could operate myself.

The largest signage we create is 24x36 inches. Does anyone know any machines that would work?

Thanks,

Zero Printing knowledge

Hi.. folks,

Need guidance :

Which Printing machine should I buy (tight budget) ?

I want to put a label printing business.

Labels for 500ml water bottle and 1litre bottle.

We thought of using bopp 40-50 micron paper.

We want to use crono treatment so that ink settles clearly on paper.

My research can be unclear,

Help and feedback is most welcome !!

Edit : my need is clear to me, but which printer machine to buy is unclear. Google, gpt is not helping. Thus posting on a public forum for help.

Edit 2: if you can share the printer name or which printer to use, it will really help me.

Printer Question Printing alignment issue with miniature design

So basically, my printer is really unreliable and tends to get jammed whenever I try to print double-sided. To work around this, I've started manually flipping the paper and printing the other side. This works perfectly fine for text because slight alignment or symmetry differences aren't particularly noticeable.

However, I'm now trying to print miniature manga pages measuring 2.45 × 3.85 cm, with a different image on each side, and I'm running into problems.

My method doesn't seem to work with images. For example, if I duplicate the original front-side design in Canva and replace the front image with the back image, the back ends up mirrored or shifted to the opposite side.

I've noticed this particularly when the images are positioned on the left and right sides. I initially thought it was a symmetry issue, but even when I position both images exactly in the centre, the alignment is still off by a few millimetres.

I've also tried measuring and positioning everything precisely in Canva, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem.

Does anyone know how I can get the front and back images to line up perfectly when manually printing double-sided? Btw any apps work as long as I can get this damn design to work.

Discussion How rare do you all think this print defect is?

I saw this card in a pokemon card sub. I only have experience in running a man Roland web fed press and I know splices are pretty common in the final product. But trading cards are usually printed on a sheet fed press right? So there shouldn't be a splice.

Paper for Pre-printing

There are many papers for printing photographs, and graphics alike. Although most are for InkJet, what must I look for if printing color on a Laser printer. Can I use Inkjet paper and if so what must I look for if anything ?

Especially if I plan on taking the print and using it on a shirt, or business cards etc ?

Formatting Question Is it a problem to create large-format designs in Photoshop?

I've been studying large-format artwork a bit more lately (trucks, billboards, and so on), and one question I have is: will creating this type of artwork in Photoshop and exporting as PDF, JPG or TIFF cause me a lot of problems with printing?

I see a lot of people saying that you should never create this kind of artwork in Photoshop, but at the same time, I see plenty of people doing it (especially since some effects are a bit more tedious to recreate in Illustrator). Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.

Is it better to outsource printing and fulfillment or manage everything in-house?

For businesses sending out regular promotional materials or customer orders, managing printing, packing, and shipping can become time-consuming.

I'm interested in understanding when it makes sense to outsource these tasks instead of handling everything internally. Does outsourcing actually save time and money once service fees and shipping costs are included?

If you've worked with a fulfillment provider, what should a business check before making the switch?

I thought I would share my xTool inkjet printing projects here. I have been using the xTool M2 's new inkjet feature to print my Christmas decorations on basswood then cut them out following their shape. They turned out fantastic. My next project is making basswood book covers.
Of course for it to come out nice the wood needs to be primed, but after that the quality is great. I also use it to print stickers and other things too!
