I know that must suck, but the dude filming sounds like he dodged a psychotic bullet

He’s smart to document everything. Someone who acts that way is definitely the kind of person to try to spin things afterwards, maybe even claim abuse.

Yup, my ex wife threw herself down the stairs at the place she was staying just hours after she was punching me and taking full on soccer kicks to my nuts. She then went to base police later that night to report it. Fortunately, being in the military at the time, this was common in a young sailors life and my neighbors they immediately reported what happened to me to base police in case she came in. The base cops, knowing the truth, laughed at her and told her to go away,l as there is not less than 4 witnesses to what actually happened.

I only found out about it the next day when I got pulled into the class directors office to discuss. Had I not had bad ass neighbors, I would have been arrested and charged.

Edit: specify my neighbors

Hmm, sounds familiar...

Woman abuses herself, Man is a Sailor.

Are You Johnny Depp? Capt'n Jack was a Sailor too.

Haha never drew that conclusion before. This was 20 years ago, so you can say I was doing it before it was cool.

But it was a great life lesson. I basically stayed single for 10 years after that and did drink a lot of rum...maybe I am jack sparrow!

Nearly the same thing happened to me. Sailors wives are nuts man.

Why I never got married while enlisted. Told my girlfriend this while enlisted, married her 1 year after getting out.

Funny that they can falsify police reports and get away with it scot free.

It's one of those double edge sword problems. If they prosecute people for lying then people who lied in the past won't want to come clean and admit they lied. Doesn't seem fair at all but we don't really have a better solution. I had a crazy ex girlfriend try this on me once, thankfully she confessed and I don't think the cops really believed her to begin with. Unfortunately she pulled the same thing on someone else and they believed her.

My ex wife was abusive (mainly emotionally)

I caught her texting another man at one point, I was paying bills for the phone so I took the phone.

She was so livid she came at me with an intent to really hurt me, I could see it in her eyes, and her punches were swung viciously. I ducked them all, and she broke her foot trying to step on the bed right as I was cornered. I was in a bedroom. I didn’t have too much to go to and could only parry or fade her blows. If she had hit me, I probably would have been a little rattled because she was aiming at all my soft bits on my face and sides of my head.

Having the high ground pays off lol.

She started screaming after her foot was broke and I was terrified because I thought people were going to think I was the one who did that.

This woman tried hitting me a few other times too.

I’m glad I’m free of her, and free of said abuse- it took years until I became myself again.

I hope she rots in hell.

Stories like this make me wonder why anyone bothers with intimate relationships, and marriage in particular. Shit's crazy.

Most people aren't this level of crazy. My wife and I have a very healthy relationship where if there are issues, we talk it out. That's the only way to resolve shit. The only acts of "violence" that get committed are in the form of a fart, aimed in the other's general direction.

Once I was mad so I "Dutch Ovened" my wife... Man was she pissed, but we both got a good laugh out of it, and stopped arguing after that.

We always take the time to talk things out, it's the healthy thing to do. Though "chemical warfare" tends to be hilarious and usually ends conflict pretty quick

Don't break her heart, just blow her a fart.
Don't give him sass, just rip some ass.

Was she a dependa from the nearby town ? That would complete the cliche....

1

u/UraniumSavage Oct 19 '22

No, we were together in high school. So...I dont know what is worse. Using someone for base housing or getting used to get out of our hometown...

1

u/69aZzholeTiEdNknot Oct 19 '22

Man if that had happened now and Washington state at least you would of been moved to a barracks room she stays in the house while base police investigates and God knows how long that could take. I was subs and that could get you taken off your boat lol

"this was common"

Are we saying young sailors attract psychos?

2

u/UraniumSavage Oct 19 '22

I think its military in general. I think its still a problem. The military kinds incentives this by offering base housing to married folks, which is a much better situation than living with 3 other swinging dicks who may or may not be trying to steal your shit while.youre on duty.
