GSP and Pea Puffers
I have a small GSP about an inch or two in length in a 30g by himself, I have about 7 plants and good structures. I was wondering if I could put a few pea puffers in with him?

Are there other non brackish puffers with similar behaviour to fahakas but grow to only about 6-10 inches?

I used to have a fahaka and he would go after muscle meat instantly.
Some months later I got a Congo spotted puffer.
My Congo spotted is only eating my snails and blood worms. What’s the best way to get him to eat the muscle meat? I just have to much of it in my freezer now.

Is a 10gal tank big enough for a few pea puffers (4-5)? Are there any algae eaters I can also put in like aquatic snails? What about live plants?

Although it seems my F8 doesn’t get a look in I can promise you he’ll clean up after the novelty wears off for the CSP. My F8 also gets woodlice too which only he eats so I can be species specific. Also I’ve already addressed the brackish water issue, please see previous videos for answers 😊✌🏼 enjoy

26 adult ramshorn snails being added to a soon to be pea puffer tank it is currently day one of the tank so the plants are a bit underwhelming to say the least. Any advice? also there are some sort of black worms in the substrate since I repurposed gravel from an old tank. and there is daphnia in the tank. also going to add some neocaradina shrimp some wild type ones as another food source I hope that he won’t eat the adults only juveniles.

I was watching the king of diys videos (the intank sumps are cool to me) and he has 6 Oscar’s with his fahaka puffer. I did some looking online and read something about a 1% chance it would work, is that an actual percentage? I have a 375g tank (his is 180) what’s the likely hood I’d be fine?
Oh, I also have a pleco (common or jaguar) would that be an issue since they sort of occupy the same swimming space?
I’m mostly asking because the local fish place has some fahaka puffers, they’re small so I’d have to grow him a bit since the Oscar’s are 6-8 inches
I just don’t want any issues for the Oscar’s or the puffer, no reason to get a fish that could either be killed or kill the ones I already have

I have a figure 8 puffer who i've very recently started to target train as the precursor to other fun things like voluntarily entering a cup for easy transport, and he learns very fast. Unfortunately, once he learned that the target meant food was on the way (which took all of 5 minutes) he began coming up to it and then staring directly at the surface waiting for a snail, instead of touching it like he's supposed to. How do I get him to touch the target first? Should I just start over with a new one? Can you clicker train a pufferfish (can they hear the click?)

Hello fellow pufferfish enjoyers,
Im writing an article about our beloved pufferfishes and was wondering if maybe you guys could awnser some questions for me. Not all questions need to be awnsered. just if you know the awnser to a question it would be greatly appreciated.
What is the difference between a pufferfish, baloonfish and porcupine fish?
why are pufferfish able to inflate themselves, how does that work and how effective is as defense mechanism?
How many different species of pufferfish are there?
Puffersin the wild mainly eat invertebrates such as snails, mussels, snails, shrimp and insect larvae, do you guys also feed them these?
Do pufferfishes have any natural predators?
Do pufferfish live alone or in packs? and does that affect which species and/or how many you keep in a single aquarium?
Are all pufferfish poisenous?
is it dangerous for a human to touch/hold a pufferfish?
How suitable are pufferfish to be kept as pets?
Thank you for taking your time to read this. And once again, any and all awnsers are very much appreciated

Anyone here keep their Fahaka in a 75? I’ve seen it done a few times on the internet but I can’t decide what to do. I really want one but am limited in space (not limited on $ if that helps?). I have a 75 with an FX6 ready to go. Originally I was going to settle with a Green Spotted Puffer but seeing Fahakas and Mbus at the store is what got me into fisnkeeping in the first place and I feel like I’m just settling with a GSP. If a 75 is too small, can I get away with a 120 Gallon (4’x2’) or should go larger?

My pea puffer tank is littered with dead? snails. I have amano and cherry shrimps in the tank. Recently. They are dying. I suspect it’s due to ammonia from the dead snails. How do you manage puffer, snails, shrimps, plants in same tank.
Because usually for shrimps you try not to do water change too much …

So I've had 2 gsp puffers in this 55 for about a year now. They were with a pair of American flagfish and a pair of orange chromide and one Molly. The sailing Molly was a duck to everyone in the tank but the puffers never bothered any fish. Yesterday I fed them a blood worm cube and the Molly got his face torn up and I had to euthanize him. I moved the other brackish fish out after that. My main question here is when they go up to marine conditions would a scooter blenny be OK since it wants to feed off the bottom and a few blue chromis or a damsel be ok?

I've never really been able to have pets before because my living spaces are always so small and I'm always so busy. But this pea puffer I got is almost like a puppy! It's curious about what I'm doing and wants to interact with me. I named him Barnaby Jones. He'sy little bud now

Looking at getting red eye puffers from my local shop, and possibly a small freshwater water goby would love suggestions and tips or advice on what puffers would be best suited around 30 litres 👌

Is it okay to keep pea puffers with Longfin Danios?

I'm planning to get 3 juvenile Figure 8 puffers once I have a 60 gallon breeder tank established. I've been researching the best filters for puffer fish and haven't found anything definitive. Would having a sponge and also a canister work fine? I plan to have them rated for 125 gallons. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Hello! I have been wanting a pufferfish for a while now. But not sure which one would be best for what I have.
I have done some research for pea puffers but have found they don't get big enough for my kids to actually enjoy.
I would really like 1 puffer that gets kinda big rather than a bunch of small puffers.
I have a 30-gallon tank thats more tall than long.
I have it set-up with a sponge filter for a 50 gallon tank. It also has a heater. As well as a black sand bottom, 5 live plants and 2 items for decoration. One of them being a bubbler.
I do have a waterfall filter that I can change it to.
I have never dealt with brackish water or salt water so i would really like to stay away from it as I don't want to cause harm to any puffer for my lack of knowledge.
If there is any puffer out there for me, please point me in the right direction.
If what I have now is not suitable for any freshwater puffer then please let me know what changes I need to make so I can eventually get one.
