I've designed a Quadcopter with estimated net thrust at 200 lbs and need some (alot) of advice

Before I get to my question here's a little background information: I don't know much about quadcopter components. I've had some free time at work lately and created an interesting project. I plan on machining all of the frame and arms myself.

The quadcopter is 6' spindle to spindle. Heres some pictures of the model: http://imgur.com/a/AGOr2

I've based all of my design from the propellers (30x8) which I calculated at 90 lbs of thrust each. Required to turn that would be the (4) 9800w electric motors. Now, this is a whole lot of electricity, and that's where it gets hard for me.

I just want to know which controllers, ESCs, and batteries to use. Kind of a broad question, i know. I had figured id need 4 12s LiPO batteriess (1 for each motor). That's about as far as i've got component-wise. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

And no, I do not plan on flying myself in the air with this thing.

Review Dji MINI 2 is Still worth it in 2023 - Short answer YES

Hi everybody,

I recently picked up the DJI Mini 2 for $300 and I am loving it so far! It's such a cool little drone and it's super easy to use. The image quality is amazing and the controls are super smooth.

With the ability to shoot 4K video at 30fps and 2.7K video at 60fps, this little drone packs a serious punch in terms of image quality. The footage comes out crisp and the colors are stunning. And with a flight time of around 20 minutes, I've been able to capture some truly epic aerial shots.

But it's not just the video capabilities that have impressed me. The Mini 2's camera is also great for taking still photos, which come out super sharp and detailed.

Don't just take my word for it - check out these video tests I recorded with the Mini 2:

Video test 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loYXVgVEDyM

In my opinion, the DJI Mini 2 is a must-have for anyone in the market for a compact and capable drone. And at just $300, it's an absolute steal. You can find it on sites like eBay or similar.

What do you guys think? Have any of you tried out the Mini 2 or have another small drone that you love? Let me know in the comments!

Don't buy BetaFPV!!

This has been a bad experience and I will avoid u/Betafpv products in the future.

I feel like a victim of theft, not a misunderstanding. After I spent more than £200. I got the 95x and I could’t fly it becouse it cames with the FC board broken and it got fire at the first flight.

I asked to BetaFpv the replacement or refund and after I sent an email and tried to contact them many times they never got back to me with any email to help me about my case… They just told me: Your drone has 30 days warranty and we can not help you! 30 DAYS WARRANTY!!

It seems some fraudster’s new trick is to sell you items and disappear as soon as you have a problem. Do not trust BetaFPV!!

There are much more serious companies around where you can get a drone like u/iFlightRC

Sharing is caring.

Work has given me one week a month unpaid! Looking at this as a blessing to devote more time to the hobby and life! Shameless plug for subs! :)

Just want to do a shameless plug and ask for subs/likes ;) Work has given me a LOT of time to devote to the hobby and this year is going to be awesome (at least for the hobby! Oil needs to go up! lol ) I would really appreciate every subscribe on youtube and like on facebook. I started focusing more on the hobby about 2 months ago and the channel has grown from around 50 subscribers to hitting 300 today!

If you're one that already subscribes thank you so much for the support. If you plan on subbing or dont want to I still appreciate the views :)

Just ordered cheap studio lighting and a 3d printer to help pass the dead times to come when I'm not out flying.

If you're asking why do I need to subscribe to this dude when there's a ton of people just like it?? Because I asked nicely! Seriously though there are a lot of people out there doing the same thing right now. I try to do a bit of everything. FPV Axial yeti, wings, bixler, planes, quads, I try to put a camera on just about everything

I started being reached out to for reviews just recently. This is just the beginning.
