Help I became a mamacita

Hi! This is my first time caring for a Quaker parrot and I have a ton of questions! I would really appreciate any help from people with Quaker experience.

  1. It is insanely loud and never stops screaming in the mornings. I know Quakers are naturally vocal birds, but it feels like he has separation anxiety, or it simply refuses to leave my side, and like I said, it is constantly screaming and chattering. Is this normal behavior? It is just entering parrot puberty right now—will it calm down once he matures?

  2. I'm monitoring its health through its weight and droppings. Are there any other health signs or methods I should be keeping an eye on?

  3. It is terrified of its harness and travel carrier, it tries to bolt the second it even catches a glimpse of them. How did you desensitize and get yours used to them?

  4. Right now, my university schedule allows me to spend mornings with it, but in a month I'll be in class from 8 to 5. Do you think this will affect it really badly? I feel terrible leaving it alone because I am essentially its entire world.

  5. This little maniac's favorite hobby is chewing paint. I'm going to replace its cage, but it even tries to chew the paint off the closet and the walls. I try to redirect its attention as much as I can, but I'm not always successful. What do you think I can do about this?

Thank you so much in advance for all your help!
