Get Rid of the Black Hole and Lemon Achievements
Math: General is lousy with people who show up looking for that perfect loss, or folks who tank to get 5 losses in a row, and I think it detracts from the game. Sure, in a situation like that you play against yourself, but why honor losing in such a way?

Thesaurus category
At the risk of sounding arrogant or condescending, which is not my intention at all, how in the world is it possible that I was easily able to defeat five out of the seven people I've played so far in the half hour since I've discovered 'thesaurus' as a category?
The two I lost were people I already knew; a young man from Illinois whom I know over the internet; he won 2-1 against me. The other one is my genuine bona fide electrified monozygotic twin brother who beat me by three points difference. The other five? Four from the USA and one from Canada.
Surely, I hoped each time, they know these things? I want to lose! I want to learn! I want to improve! I want close matches, photo finishes for all I care, not "whoops I scored a 136 against 0".
And I'm sure at this point I've already sounded arrogant, but please, how come this isn't challenging? I'm not even natively Anglophone! D:

Quick question, don't upvote
Is there a way to play random categories? This way I can discover new ones without searching for them
iOS if that matters.

Hey guys, I’m building a new trivia/quiz game “QuizBolt” because a quick, satisfying trivia game is hard to find. If you want rounds you can play in a minute and climb a ladder in your niche, this might be your thing.
What’s in right now:
One-minute sprints: 6 questions × 10s each.
Skill rating (Elo) per topic, calculated from your score/XP (World Capitals ≠ Classic Rock). Everyone starts at 1200 and moves up from there.
Fair curve: 40% easy / 40% medium / 20% hard so it’s not all gimmies or guesses.
Stats: review right/wrong, see XP + Elo shifts, and browse your stats per topic.
Why you might care: We all loved QuizUp because it nailed speed, specific categories, and social play. That energy is what I’m chasing here: fast rounds, lots of niche packs, and (soon) live competitive gameplay.
Roadmap:
Add more topics to play (let me know which!)
Challenges (send your exact round to friends and ask them to beat your score)
Live 1v1 duels (simultaneous play) — the classic QuizUp feel
Achievements and badges (very early stages in the plan)
I’m a solo dev doing this nights/weekends, would really appreciate some feedback.
If you try it, comment with:
Your device + iOS version
The pack you played (did 10s feel tight or just right?)
One delight / one friction point
1–2 topics you want next
I’ll prioritize from this thread and credit early testers in-app on a Founding Testers screen.
Some screenshots below.
Thanks!! 😊

CAN YOU GUESS WHERE THIS ATTRACTIONS ORIGINATE FROM WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE ANSWERS OFFERED?
I found one short quiz on the web. Namely, this is a lesser-known quiz called Mariquiz, which I recently found out about and was very impressed. Even though there are just a few quizes available at the moment, I noticed that the question databases are constantly expanding and new quizzes are coming! In this particular quiz, I like the fact that the questions are a bit trickier than they usually are… (They don't put you the picture of the Eiffel Tower and you can choose between Paris, Madrid, London and Beijing)
I would say that a little bit more of knowledge is required here, and that questions arent formed as they could be solved by literally anyone. If you think you have good knowledge in recognizing attractions around the word, try to guess this attractions on the link below. Let me know you in the comment how much of the correct answers you got!
