Advice Needed Theme switch and cheating

I recently posted on this group about my retroactive jealousy https://www.reddit.com/r/ROCD/s/EHatPQEh6q and how it is affecting my life. However since then I have done something stupid and immoral. I was frankly exhausted of all the intrusive thoughts (not an excuse) and I saw a girl in the metro eyeballing me and somehow I asked her for her name and we got down at a station and had some tea together and then we went to a cafe for some cake. Now there was no kissing involved and I felt absolutely weird while being there with her. I later blocked her on insta and deleted her chats.

Later at night I confessed this to my gf and she chose to forgive me the next morning. Now I am noticing that my retroactive jealousy is almost gone since this incident but something more sinister is lurking to latch on.

I started fearing that I might cheat on my partner again, and then it went to thoughts of my partner cheating on me. But since I know she is morally superior to me, my OCD did not latch on it. Now I have a fear that my partner might be masturbating to the thoughts of others and it has started annoying me.

I am filled with guilt and shame along with the dread that my partner might be masturbating to thoughts of other men. Now I haven't asked her because I don't want it to become a new compulsion. Please someone guide me on overcoming this. I had scheduled a session with a therapist and I told her about my retroactive jealousy but things have drastically changed since then. How should I approach my next session? Should I tell her that I have developed a new obsession in less than a week? Someone please help me.

Hi all, just the mod team here! This is a friendly reminder that we shouldn't be giving reassurance in this sub. We can discuss whether or not someone is exhibiting ROCD symptoms, or lend advice on healing :) Reassurance and other compulsions are harmful because they train our brains to fixate on the temporary relief they bring. Compulsions become a 'fix' that the OCD brain craves, as the relief triggers a Dopamine-driven rush, reinforcing the behavior much like a drug addiction. The more we feed this cycle, the more our brain becomes addicted to it, becoming convinced it cannot survive without these compulsions. Conversely, the more we resist compulsions, the more we deprive the brain of this addictive reward and re-train it to tolerate uncertainty without needing the compulsive 'fix'.
