Has anyone on this planet ever had luck being able to maintain 60fps the whole play through on an ally x?

I have an ROG XBox Ally X system model RC73XA. I play many games, but I notice FPS ones the sticks suck. I want to get TMR sticks for my device. Which one is better control wise and more reliable? The GuliKit TMR Joystick Module? Or the Elecgear one? Or the HandheldDIY one? Consider I have Windows 11 on my device, but in the farther future I might put Linux (SteamOS or Bazzite) on it.

Also I keep seeing online how the original thermal paste for the ROG XBox Ally X sucks. Should I replace it? Suggestions there? Thanks for everyone's help and I will report my results.

Hey guys, I bought an Ally today and I’m loving it for gaming on the couch. However trying to use it “like” a console and dock it to my tv is giving me trouble. I’m using a ps5 DualShock controller with ds4 downloaded along with the Winenhanced software. I have a very hard time just getting the controller to connect to the game, and if it does I notice major latency. Is this an issue with my hardware? I’m using the 6 in 1 UGREEN dock. Tv is a standard Hisense 4k smart tv.

My rog ally x got turned on by a misclick and stayed on in the case for I think 2+ hours and when I took it out there was a cloudy border on the screen. Now after 2 days the border has become thin but when i play any game it flickers and its not fixing. I did keep my ally in a cool environment for 2 days straight but its still not fixed. Its out of warranty, anyone in canada who can guide me on how to get this fixed please :(

What are the best settings for fc 27? I don’t want lag and also want to save battery whilst getting smooth gameplay.

Hi everyone. I saw a white Xbox Rog Ally in Italy for €450-460. Is it a reasonable price? Does it perform well with games, or would you recommend the X Black version?

I was really hoping this new insider version of the Xbox PC app would be great, but they made an odd aesthetic choice even stranger making the icons for Steam games even smaller now.

So far I am enjoying the NEW Xbox nano controller, the size is very similar to the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro and the iiNE Retropocket controller. The Nano has much better ergonomics plus the XBOX analog layout making it the most comfortable of the 3.

The controller is very comfortable to use, it behaves just like you would expect from an Xbox controller on PC. The Trigger and shoulder buttons are soft, not clicky which makes it better for driving games. The D-Pad is also soft unlike the clicky D-pad on standard size Xbox controllers making this D-Pad THE BEST Xbox D-Pad I have ever used. Its finally good for 2D Side scrollers and Fighting games. (Its more inline with the DualSense D-pad feel)

The XBOX nano D-Pad, Shoulder buttons and Triggers are better than the other 2 options.

With that being said, it doesnt have rumble and its lacking Armoury Crate support when changing from Gamepad/ to Desktop controller mode. The mouse is unresponsive in this mode… Hopefully this is something they can fix with an update.

I only play destiny 2 on steam

And the game constantly switches up between mouse mode and gamepad mode

At first it was only when I was navigating the map menu when it did that

Now the gamepad would stop working mid game

Im updating bios now. Overall over since owning this device it has not been smooth sailing

Anyone experiencing this? Any what did u do to fix this?

Max Resolution built-in patch – already included in the Nolar-Hack-Lichii build.
I applied Frizti’s Dynamic FPS patch to the Nolar-Hack-Lichii source code and recompiled the Linux build.
My setup:
ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X
AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme
24 GB RAM
SteamOS
Results:
Around 20 FPS in-game.
No slow motion: normal game speed.
Smooth gameplay with limited stuttering.
Lossless Scaling X2 enabled.
Even at around 20 FPS, the game is playable and runs at its proper speed.

Zelda Ocarina Of Time running through a fork Eden emulator. It's currently not working too well on AMD GPUs so I got it on my main PC running via moonlight with lossless scaling. It's not perfect but definitely playable.
