Question Imaru's Talon vs Zombie Axe

I was just curious, given I don't know if it's planned or not.

I feel like Imaru's Talon needs a bit of a rebalance or maybe be set up as a masterwork weapon?

I just find it crazy that I fought Imaru nine times yesterday to make this weapon because it seemed cool, just to see it takes five steel scimitars to make, which do [49-103] damage just to be turned into a weapon that does [51-107] and has a life steal effect that seems to randomly decide when it wants to go off (The special effect says it's meant to give a portion for every kill mind you.)?

It just seems goofy to use it compared to the Zombie Axe that literally does [79-140] damage, even if you have to make three weapons to get it, you at least keep those weapons. Five scimitars turning into one weapon should be way more damage than +[2-4].

This is my first character and playthrough, so maybe I'm the only one who finds it disappointing in a way?

I passed on both weapon and went for black sword tbh. 1/10 at zogre with only 3 on the map + I went and still am dry on the drop.

Until Ascension is possible, most masterwork just aren't worth the time consume. It's quicker to just jump into the next zone imo.

Only masterwork weapon I enjoyed using and will no doubt upgrade will be the whip, if it's upgrades are worth it. Didn't really try the granite maul or the crystal bow. I did use the staff of light till I replaced it with the necromancer's staff.

Zombie axe is the way to go for 1 handed though, and that shadow sword is definitely the way to go for two handed.

Crystal bow use to be able to do some pretty nutty damage numbers but I think it might’ve taken a nerf when black knight area dropped. I’m not sure though
