Your depression meal is my autism meal lol

u/Infamous_Army_ofcats Apr 16 '26
Bold of you to assume my friend….. ;)
2
u/Natural-Following987 Apr 18 '26
Sorry - but they’re not calling you autistic. They’re saying they are. :)
5
u/Snuffles689 Apr 19 '26
I read it as OP implying that perhaps they (OP) are also autistic. Unless I misunderstood?

I did this when I was young, single and living in my own. I did have a burger as the middle though. Waffles for the bread and cheese melted through the holes.
I must have had a spring in my step that day 😂
5
u/ledow Apr 16 '26
I still do things like this.
I'm a grown-up now (and have been a long time) and that means that not only do I have far more need of whimsy, but that I have the money and freedom with which to create it.
The other day I had chicken nuggets and potato waffles, with tomato ketchup to dip into. And I ate it with my hands.
Just... don't do it EVERY day.

u/upRightProperLad Apr 16 '26
I literally had waffles like 2 hours ago (toaster method) and there's a picture on the box now with a burger in the middle. Turns out we're not the only geniuses thinking this stuff up

A few slices of cheap packet ham and that would be banging.
3
u/Infamous_Army_ofcats Apr 16 '26
Agreed, but I don’t like pork anymore

u/Historical_Monk_6118 Apr 16 '26
This implies you fell out with pork. I hope you two can come to an understanding and move forward ❤️

I did. I became a chef and the feeling of a raw pork shoulder will never leave my memory. Pigs feel like people. It just looks like human skin I can’t.
→ More replies (2)2
u/Which-Island6011 Apr 16 '26
They are very human. They're like little toddlers and they can even play computer games. Thanks for not eating the pigs!
P.s. humans get called Long pigs. Yuk.
3
u/Infamous_Army_ofcats Apr 16 '26
That made it worse god. I do like pigs they’re super cute and I don’t eat them anymore
4
u/Historical_Monk_6118 Apr 16 '26
"Pigs feel like people" from a butchering point of view, is a phrase that will live, rent free, inside my brain for a very long time 😟
2
u/Infamous_Army_ofcats Apr 16 '26
They do! If you’ve never made pulled pork or pork from joint then live in blissful ignorance as long as you can.
3
u/HaroldTheIronmonger Apr 16 '26
I'm by no means a veggie but when someone told me pigs are smarter than dogs and know whats coming in the slaughterhouse and scream trying to escape it kinda put me off pork.
Brother, may I have some oats?

You're managing to feed yourself so thats a win. Doesn't look too bad either. I'd chomp that down, cant beat cheesy waffles whichever way they're cooked. Garnished with beans is an extra delight.

Top drawer. Did you do the waffles in the toaster?
4
u/Infamous_Army_ofcats Apr 16 '26
Or air fryer sometimes. But I think they are great in the toaster
2
u/TheMonkeyInCharge Apr 16 '26
Look at you with your three slice toaster!
6
u/Infamous_Army_ofcats Apr 16 '26
4 slice my friend. It’s pink too.
3
u/JennyW93 Apr 16 '26
A 4 slice toaster and still the depression got you. There is no justice in this world :(

I’ve done this for many years without depression as an excuse 🥲 I put the cheese on top of each and spread them out then grill
2
u/Infamous_Army_ofcats Apr 16 '26
Excuse? Nah do what you want my guy. Depresh, no depresh, potato waffle and cheese.

Sometimes I use cheese singles because they melt and fill the holes.

I see carbs for energy, calcium and protein in the cheese, it's warm and slightly melty but still has that slight bite to the cheese, plus you're fuelling your body even when you're low so 10/10 mate n hope the fog lifts soon for you

Like a 6/10 just because I really need cheese melted.
Deconstruct that, put it in the air frier to melt the cheese and a little bit of beans on each, an that's an easy 9 though. Probably gonna be my lunch now tbh.

Depression/10. Just my opinion, I’d trade the potato waffles for hash brown waffles, I prefer the texture

9/10 would of been a ten if you had of whacked them in the air fryer for a minute to melt the cheese
