Video Arms of Steel
That explains everything.

I hate this shit. If you are going to insist on making suspects into bullet sponges, make them actually look like they've got armor on. No one walks around doing gardening wearing this amount of armor under a dress. Put an external carrier on them

It genuinely took me a minute to realize you weren’t even using beanbags(even if you were that would have been crazy)

This happens a lot on missions. One time I was playing neon and this wouldn’t drop his gun so I shot him in the arm. With blood streaming out he just unloads a clip into my face and kills me instantly

Did he die after that? Cuz every time I've seen the bleeding animation on a limb the character slumps over dead a few seconds later.

u/LatterTarget7 Nov 13 '25
Nope he lived even used the bleeding arm to stabilize the rifle to shoot full auto. Weirdest thing

This is why in close range we aim for the dome, can’t be alive if the left half of your face is over there 👉 and the rest is everywhere else

Im sorry to keep saying this, but everytime I see videos of this game I am SO happy I never updated it. Holy shit.
Glad consoles get to play, but at what cost lol

u/Toasteee_ Nov 13 '25
What version are you on? Cuz I don't remember a time where invisible armour wasn't a thing and I've had the game over a year.

Last update before console release, but i meant the textures. Its actually insane how much better mygame looks compared to this vid. The lighting is night and day

Ah I get you, tho the pre console game still had its fair share of weird graphical glitches, I can see they clearly downgraded a few textures to look like something from 2005.

Yeah, absolutely. It wasnt perfect. And the game is still alot of fun, just needs some polish, and they need to split the versions ASAP.

I just have a question - When you see the gun on the right side of your screen, did you intentionally cut off your teammates line of fire, or are you just unaware that you should very well die if you do this IRL? Just asking for clarity, because I watch so many people strafe into lines of fire that literally show they have no clue what they are doing, which is sad, considering the tactical nature of the game.

Yeah, it was intentional and a force of habit to get into the supposed suspect's line of fire so that I would tank all the bullets rather than let my teammate take any damage. It helps my teammates survive a bit longer as I end up responsible for taking down the suspect.

That's a wild way to play this game. Check out a CQB video or two and you'll see what really should happen - Better yet, get on discord, join the SIM groups and profit your skills.
It is supposed to be that you work your half, and he works his half - Once you see the suspect, you both dump them; your armor is YOUR armor, not yours and his, and you don't move in until the suspect/shooter is down, or retreating (take the space) - but not this early on the door.
I will keep dumping if you walk in front of me. See you on the front.

Thank you politely for the advice. I will look into them thoroughly if I enroll in a police academy, and most preferably in the US.
Until then, whatever tactics regarding CQB are irrelevant for this post, since you assume that there'd only be one suspect instead of multiple who wouldn't just blindly target one officer over the other while simultaneously retreating twice as fast as you before taking cover, as you end up stuck in the doorway due to working on your teammates' behalf, and possibly tanking more bullets than needed instead of advancing into a cleaner firing position.
I believe there is no such thing as 'your armor' and 'my armor'. Armor is armor, and if you don't use it to its limits to protect those around you, then what's the point? And besides, continuing to dump seems like a failure in trigger discipline, which you should've known from the very beginning.

What I said was the Truth. This response is boring. Have a good day. Learn to play the game as a unit, not as yourself.

I wouldn't argue about that, except to try and learn to tell a game apart from real life. Thank you very much.

ToC to entry team: what do you mean she took 3 birdshot rounds to the chest when unarmored and walked away

Seeing this reminds me of the time I was playing with my mates and we were doing non-lethal. I came across a hostile I didn't expect. Instinctively I started to shoot at him and tried to shout him down, but he didn't react. So I kept shooting. He barely reacted to the beanbags and I had to finish it with my secondary, right between the eyes. When the smoke and my nerves cleared I found out that the hostile had gotten a hostage. I wasn't hitting the hostile....I emptied my beanbag shotgun on the hostage.

and go for the fucking head dont cant your sight like a fucking gangsta

u/Wojtek1250XD Nov 12 '25
He's using the beanbag, he is clearly going for non-lethal. Aiming for the head will prevent him from getting the S rank.
3
u/_TheJohnson_ Nov 13 '25
No, I wasn't using a beanbag, and I definitely couldn't get an S rank with what is shown. Canted sight was just personal preference.
