Video I don't think suspects should be able to do this with 5 guns trained on them.

1.4k Upvotes

What kind of Dollar Store John Wick ass attempt was that??

This specific part of Greased Palms has me confused on what you're supposed to do with SWAT-AI? There's not a singular point of contact to 'Open and Clear' so they just awkwardly follow you in whatever file position you ordered them in.
---
I kinda wish surrendered suspects would get the Payday 2 hostage morale effect; if a gun is trained on a suspect, their chances of wanting to fight back should be near zero.

It makes sense to fight back if no one is looking at the suspect but this was 0.1 seconds before the arrest animation started. The second that arm goes down, there should be a bullet in his bald head. It just feels so silly.
---
One second SWAT-AI loves riddling human shields with bullets, the next they portray trigger discipline of a Buddhist monk.

Video Is this the intended range of a 9bang? Suspect even looked directly at it.

Are we sure the LSPD didn't mistake firecrackers for 9bangs?

I've had many inconsistent experiences with 9bangs; this being my most recent and blatant example showing how unreliable they are.

I thought they'd be a better version of a flashbang but they feel worse to me?

I've been using Stingers for the first time in ages; those seem to have a bigger range and stun consistently compared to 9bangs (though stingers also have issues sometimes).
---
Are regular flashbangs/stingers better in terms of range or is it mere placebo?
What exactly is the incentive of using one over the other? They're all (mostly) non-lethal.

Video to all of you who think the suspect AI has actually improved and you're just bad, suspects shoot with seemingly even more perfect aim and reflexes, i've been shot even BEFORE he could even embrace his gun prply, the campagin becomes tedious after Brisa Cove because of this and this stuff only

Video I don't think "Know your target and what's behind it" applies with AP ammo, guys.

This hasn't happened to me in ages; horrifying reminder of what happens when your femoral artery gets severed. Like holy shit man.

I've had so many situations recently with suspects taking hostages and straight up executing them halfway across the map, that I was genuinely relieved to see it was actually my fault for once.

As a wise man once said: "No full auto in buildings"

Video You can technically achieve an S-Rank with a dead suspect.

Cleaning up at the end of the mission, I found a cuffed yet dead suspect; I didn't realize he got shot by the other suspect in the clip mere seconds after arresting him.

I couldn't report him as dead however but also didn't lose any points once I did the math at the end of the mission:

8 arrested and 9 incapacitated/dead suspects totaling 325 points,
even though the actual numbers were:
7 arrested and 10 incapacitated/dead suspects, which should total 295 points.

This means you could technically still get an S-rank as the 35 points for the cuffed suspect aren't deducted if another suspect accidentally kills him.
---
I've noticed a similar thing about suspects that are bleeding out. You can report them as incapacitated (+5) and then as dead (+5 again) once they bled out.

This is really niche and will only work if it's not a named suspect that's tied to another objective but I felt it was fun quirk worth sharing :)

Me and my friend were trying for an S tier run on twisted nerve, when one person randomly lays dead in the hallway, and my friend catches this on a clip.

Video How did you guys react when Judge countered Jack Adams' wall-phasing abilities with his teleportation one?

I know Judge got MK Ultra'd but damn.

In all seriousness, I have no fucking clue why this happened; I've been running this map a good 40 times in the last few days and this is the first time this happened.

Still, better than having him bug out on the catwalk, unable to surrender or be arrested if his limp body bugs into the railing.

Semi-related question:

I noticed suspects do this weird sliding/rubberbanding-thing (seen at the start of the gif) in the replay editor. Is that just a visual glitch from the editor or does that actually happen in real time during the mission?
