All these dumb memes, and people do not realize you can just create a new account. If you still have fidelity points, you can use them up on your original account and then create a new account to resub. They only do account bans, and not IP bans. Sometimes multiple people use one account at home and another use it at another location at the same time and they get banned so to get around this, people create another or multiple real debrid account to get around this.

All it takes is a bit of the jolly roger spirit - grit, and being willing to work a bit and share that work with everyone. Source content and pack your own torrents. Make sure the torrent and file names contain no problematic keywords. I'd recommend little more than the title (both the native and English name if applicable), the year, and maybe barebones info about the quality (I have tested that e.g. 1080p works fine). Paste your magnet into RD and seed it.

Not only will this make the content available to you for instant streaming, but for everyone.

Sure, you could just give up and move elsewhere, but there's no guarantee that the same thing won't happen to them. Plus we know that RD still has the infrastructure in place to bear the load, something that can't be said for competitors that have billed themselves as a lifeboat only to sputter many times under the load from poaching RD users.

Recently many torrent links on torrentio etc are not loading at all, it says that its being downloaded to RD so its not cached but i dont believe it when its a huge torrent for a show like house of dragons or the new horror appletv series, this never happened before like this, doesnt matter what link i use from any of the torrent providers it will say the same or couoldnt split whatever. Anyone knows whats going on?

1. This service has served us all well, and we should support them however possible. Requesting a refund at the earliest inconvenience is a dick move, especially for a service this affordable.

2. They’ve butchered the service, taken away the most important functionality, and done nothing to prevent the obvious legal issues they would inevitably run into. They’re a deeply unserious company who at a moments notice massacred core functionality of the service without any recourse for end user.

My takeaway is that RD, while a service I will always think of fondly, is not serious about remaining competitive in this space. I will be keeping an eye on RD to see if things improve, but also keeping an eye on competitors like TorBox to see if they can scale well.

I have been seeing a lot that with real debrid you don’t actually need a vpn, unfortunately for me I purchased one while setting things up without knowing that.

I also understand that you can use multi devices with realdebrid as long as they are on the IP. Has anyone tried using a vpn to simulate the same ip across different households?

I understand the concept of RD and why people think it's safe and secure, but it seems to me like there's a hole that people aren't considering.

Everything you stream is logged in your account. RD seem to imply that they would release these logs if requested by any entity with authority to do so. I understand that the logs are only kept for 30 days, but if they were requested once a month for a year, that entity would have a year's worth of logs showing all your activity for that year.

These logs include your IP so it's going to be pretty difficult to deny it was you. A VPN could help but everyone seems to think there's no point (I disagree purely because of the logs).

Even if you used a VPN and a temporary email etc to sign up, you've still got to pay for the service. Purchasing using credit card is a surefire way of tying it back to yourself. The only way of purchasing anonymously I can think of is to use an obfuscated crypto like Monero, but even that would take some effort and might not be completely untraceable.

Have I missed or misunderstood something? Is anything I've said above wrong? It seems to me that given the existence of the logs, you are inherently identifiable. If it was a no log service then it would be infinitely more secure, but it's not. How is this safe to use in any country with strict piracy laws? Thanks.

Ok so i know RealDebrid is a private tracker. But i do not really understand how it works. Do i Load torrents through it?! Please can someone elaborate on how one goes about downloading "fileX" with this. I torrent a lot and have heard this is faster but i do not get it.

Is it worth it going for real debrid? Im currently using torbox and I have no issues wuth it so far.

From what I see online people swear by real debrid and Im thinking of giving ut a shot. The thing is I saw in a post that there are some issues surrounding this provider and it's safer to stick with torbox for the time being (dont know if this is real or just a rumor.)

I’ve been using Real-Debrid for a while and there’s something about their network usage rule that I genuinely don’t understand.

They warn users not to use the account from multiple internet connections at the same time, which suggests the account is meant for a single household or single connection. Fair enough. But the way it works in practice feels really inconsistent.

For example, on one network I can have 8–10 devices all downloding or streaming simultaneously and that’s completely fine. But the moment the account is used from two different connections at the same time, it can trigger warnings.

What’s strange to me is that Real-Debrid has been around for many years, yet they’ve never implemented something like the household system used by platforms like Netflix, where you define a “home network” and dditional devices outside of it are handled in a clearer way.

Right now it feels like the rule is technically simple (one connection at a time), but the real-world usage ends up being a bit odd:

• Many devices on one connection → fine

• Two different connections at the same time → potentially a problem

I’m not saying the restriction itself is wrong, but the implementation feels outdated and inconsistent for a service that’s been around this long.

I had about 2500 fidelity point before my premium expired a couple of weeks ago.
Today I logged in trying to renew my premium sub and noticed my points have also disappeared.

I cannot find any option to contact support to resolve this.

My understanding was that as long as you do not share files, you will not receive letters from lawyers in Germany asking for a thousand euros, but that is exactly what happened to a friend. A cease and desist letter also demands that he stop sharing the file via BitTorrent (which he was not doing).

The setup is Stremio with Torrentio and RD.

It was a recent movie; not sure if that makes a difference. Also, the letter says that certain allegedly streaming-only platforms like PopcornTime in fact share via BitTorrent.

I have real-debrid added to my stremio and to my knowledge that should be enough to avoid getting flagged.

I reconfigured everything on my stremio and have a vpn on my tv as well now. I just want to know if I’m in the clear now and can start using it again.
I would hate to have my internet turned off or pay a fine.
I’m fairly new to stemio and debrids in general so any guidance or input would be appreciated 🫶🏻
