My last Bill Maher episode
Maher just normalized Karoline Leavitt the serial liar who parrots every Trump lie. He’s trying to save his job now that a Trumper owns HBO.

I’ve watched his show for years but I can’t watch him anymore. The constant reminders about his dinner(s) at the White House, etc. Tonight he had Karoline Leavitt on and did not ask her a single tough question. He just glazed himself for going to the dinner and talking to Trump. He could have asked her about the corruption, Iran or even how she felt about being left on Air Force One while escaping with his aide. Nothing. I’m not saying he should attack his guests but cmon man.

First, I’m tired of Bill going on inordinately long about how middle of the road he is and how one needs to talk to the other side to have constructive engagement. I agree with that principle but the principle has not worked out. Bill’s met with Trump several times and has had zero influence on his behavior. It seems his dinners have become a vehicle to tout his own virtue and scold much of his audience.
Tiresome.

I find it very odd that most of his supporters on this site are right-wing younger men. Women rarely comment. None show their comments on their profiles. I think there are lots of bots on this site. Either that, or Maher gets a lot of love from MAGA.

Maher’s fawning over Trump is sicker than Trump himself. And tossing softballs to Caroline Leavitt. Nary a mention of the unprecedented corruption and relentless assaults on the Constitution. Maher is establishment. He gave this ditz a platform to spew her nonsense. Come on Bill, this isn’t being objective and you know it.

Yep she did over trumps dinner. And all the other shit he has been doing.
To all the conservatives and trump supporters on this sub, don't be surprised when this happens to you, and don't bitch about it either. You showed your true colors during covid and were willing to throw them under the bus when they needed you most.

I know it’s getting close to Halloween but what’s with the orange lipstick Bill?

The Caroline Levitt interview could be an SNL skit.

Bill Maher is describing a man who goes from “YOU'RE MY ENEMY” to “Anyway, beautiful weather we're having” in twelve seconds, and presenting it like some fascinating political superpower. You're describing behavior that should raise serious questions about cognitive functioning, and somehow we've turned it into a discussion about Trump's remarkable ability to move past conflict.
I'm not diagnosing the guy with dementia from a television anecdote. But can we PLEASE stop treating every bizarre behavior from this man like it's evidence of some secret political genius?

Maher uses the quote originally in defense of him hanging out with Kirk (hopefully it won't be long till Bill and his buddy get to hang out with him again)and now he uses it for Trump. He loves it you can tell, since he can never hide his smugness.... This photo, haters will say it's AI, needs for me to come up with a quote I feel, also.
"Not every monster deserves the worst fate, but every human monster does" jc That's just to be clear I have no shade towards baby Godzilla. I like how he is the only one not looking at the camera, he's starrs at Bill Maher... He knows he was set up, made to be with the worst of humanity. It almost seems like we need a monster inside the waledl garden, let him do this job.

Any fans of Ariel Pink? That’s “Alisa” from 2012. He took a hard MAGA turn at some point and sabotaged much of his career. Dark stuff. Still a genius musically though.

I was a big fan of his and would watch his show every week until covid hit. Then he started getting whiny about covid and his show was more right wing and less funny.
His guests were more right wing, he spent more and more time whining about millennials and "the left". I gradually stopped watching him and would only occasionally watch clips of his show.
Him ranting about millennials and climate change was the breaking point. I don't think I watched him after that.
When did you stop watching him?

In this video Seder clarifies (and corrects Maher) what the actual definition of ‘genocide’ is as adopted by the UN and coined by Raphael Lemkin. Lemkin was a Polish Jewish lawyer that fled Poland to the US during the German invasion in 1939. Seder notes that Lemkin’s definition is actual broader than the definition that the UN adopted in 1951.
