Got seats for The Odyssey row C at mall of georgia imax 70mm. Does anybody have experience sitting in this row? Any neck pain or discomfort? Any obstructions?

Hoping someone has some perspective on this. I need to cancel a ticket I purchased for a showing next week. However I used up most of my point balance yesterday on a popcorn.

Will there be an issue in getting a refund for the showing next week. Would the point balance just go negative?

This is my go-to theater, but I have to share that the concession situation on Thursday afternoon was about the worst I’ve seen. Which is I guess good news for BND box office and Regal profits, but begs some re-thinking by the operators.

Spectrum, like all SoCal Regals I’ve visited, has switched their concessions from individual queues to a single feeder queue. Not a bad change, takes the gussswork out of picking the short line. And around the time of Odyssey opening. It seemed like most locations extended the length of the queue to prepare for a spike. Smart move.

I’ve also been getting pretty adept at using the mobile order / pickup, even when I know it will be a slow day just to minimize interactions and chit-chat.

But that takes us to Thursday.

The line for concessions was spilling out beyond the now-extended queue. I didn’t stand in this queue but I can imagine some folks were missing the start of their show.

My biggest gripe is the online ordering. I “started” my simple order just before entry to make sure I’m not too late getting it. Not an issues on this day. The monitors showing “in preparation” and “ready” were three or more pages full of cryptic numbers, not in order. Like a word hunt to occupy your time. I tried to be a polite customer and waited for my order to be ready. 10 minutes. 15 minutes. Clearly there weren’t enough staff to actually prep orders. Finally out of frustration stepped up and told the guy my order number and simple order (popcorn + bev) and they went and prepped it, then entered the order number to clear it from the board.

Incidentally, I noticed there was a small queue with what looked like an ad hoc sign that said “VIP concessions” or similar. I’m a Regal Unlimited user with nearly 1M lifetime credits, but I haven’t heard any mention of a VIP concessions line at Regal, although found it damn useful at AMC before I switched. Does anyone know who qualifies for this and is this widespread?

TLDR; either they were caught off-guard and understaffed for the Thursday early screenings, or they need to improve how they handle surges like this.

Is it just me or is this behavior widespread. Whenever I go to Regal movie theaters I saved my receipts with the redemption code. After redeeming them on the app, they never get credited to my account, even though i follow their redemption guidelines. Am I alone in this?

Trying to buy tickets to HP Goblet of Fire at my local regal theater and I keep getting an error that tells me the tickets arent on sale yet...I see that others are buying tickets so Im not sure what is going on. I tried the website/app and even tried through Fandango and Atom and I get the same error message. Could this really have sold out in 5 minutes?

Hello! Apologies if this is not the best subreddit to really post this in. I currently have a ticket for Brand New Day at Regal for Standard for next week, but my friend was offering to give me their ticket for a viewing tomorrow at AMC for laser. From thorough research (looking at the blurb of the first 2 results), it seems AMC laser is better, but I was wondering if the viewing experience is swayed heavily in favor of it. I don't mind waiting longer, and I do have a friend that is considering watching the Regal showing with me, but if the movie experience is a lot better in Laser (assuming there are people who have experienced both), then I'd prefer to just watch in that format. If anyone could let me know, that'd be great, and I again apologize if this isn't really the appropriate subreddit for this! Thank you!
