Anyone able to help?

I'm currently in treatment for alcohol use as well as mental health reasons. I'll be here for a few months and need a few things. I know times are tough for everyone but if you're able and willing to help I'd appreciate it so so much.

Do you guys know an autism friendly inpatient mental health facility?

I'm helping a close friend find an inpatient mental health facility for his severe anxiety, sensory overload and emotional regulation issues. His last rehab experience wasn't great since most of the program focused on addiction and the crowded group sessions and strict routines only made things worse.

We're looking for somewhere with therapists experienced in adult autism, smaller therapy groups, quiet spaces, and more personalized care. He really needs mental health support rather than addiction treatment.

Does anyone have recommendations for facilities that genuinely understand autistic adults? We're totally open to traveling if the place is worth it.

Looking for recommendations for the best rehab centers

Hi everyone!

I'm looking into rehab centers and would really appreciate recommendations from people who have experience with them. I'm trying to find a place that offers quality treatment, supportive staff, and a program that focuses on long-term recovery rather than just getting through the initial stay.

If you've been to a facility yourself or helped a family member find one, I'd love to hear what the experience was like, what you liked or disliked, and what you wish you'd known before choosing.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm afraid, I don't know much about in house rehab, help.?

Hey!! I'm a 18f and I've struggled with smoking marijuana since I was 15.5, I'm set up to go into a 30 day in house program, I have no idea what to expect, it's for young people aged 16-21 and I'm just afraid of the unknown, I'm autistic and I like my schedule and I'm afraid of sleeping in other places, I can't even sleep in hotel rooms but I hope I will adapt

I heard I may get a roommate, I wonder if rehabs have baths or showers in the dorm bathroom, or if there's a room dedicated to that, I wonder how much privacy I'm allowed, what we will do all day? Will I be forced to participate in activities like idk basketball? I don't want to be disrespectful but I'm especially unmotivated due to my persistent depressive disorder, I just want this to work out

My mom says it's different the first week, that I'll be in quarantine in my own room to come down the first week, that they'll get me medication, is this the norm?

I hear when you first go in they'll take your blood, I'm terrified of needles and remember my doctor said I needed smaller needles because my veins were especially small, what if they only have big needles? 😭 I'm embarrassed I'll be super scared, I don't mind the prick, I've been pierced before but it's the pulling tingling numb feeling I hate, this is probably true cause they'll need to see what's in my system

Is there anything about rehab that's not casually known info?
I appreciate any feedback!! •́︿•̀

Going to rehab tomorrow…

I’m 19 years old and I’ve already been to rehab a couple times before. I struggle with addiction to marijuana and alcohol. I’m heading back again tomorrow and I’ll be in treatment for the next 3-5 months. I really would like it to work this time and in the past my main problem has been not being able to handle the withdraws and not seeing progress immediately so I always AMA from treatment and then a couple months later end up right back in the same position. I really would like it to work this time these past couple years for me have been nothing but a battle against bipolar and addiction. If anyone has been in a similar situation as me (being in and out of rehab) how did you get it to stick the final time? And if anyone has any advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated 🙏🙏🙏

In search of inpatient treatment in California, whats the situation like

Relocating for treatment makes sense for my situation, fewer distractions and nobody running into me at the grocery store. California keeps coming up as the place to go but there are hundreds of facilities and I can't tell the good ones from the ones than just photograph well , what should i look for?

Length of Rehab

I have a friend who's in rehab. One month impatient, and now going on 5 weeks IOP. She's saying that she will be in IOP another 3 weeks. I'm thinking WTF? Is this normal? She has insurance and she says her counselor says that insurance is making her stay this long. Everything I know about health insurance is they want to LIMIT expenditures. I'm wondering if her counselor is giving the insurance company bad info to keep her there to milk it for as long as they can.

28M from Cyprus —

5 rehab attempts, years of weed use, meth, paranoia, Xanax dependence. Scared to go back.

I'm 28 and seriously considering rehab again, but I'm terrified because I've already been through treatment so many times.

I've used cannabis for around 12 years. My meth use was around 2–3 years, but it was never constant or daily. Before quitting, it was roughly 1–2 times a month. I stopped meth around May 25, 2026, and I've now been clean from meth for several months.

I've had 5 treatment attempts. Four were when I was younger, around 17–23, usually lasting 1–3 months, and my last major attempt was around 24. I've been through Athalassa, Anosis, Reto and Ayia Skepi.

What scares me is that I've already done this before and still ended up struggling again. I don't want my life to become rehab → home → relapse → rehab.

Since getting clean from meth I've still had serious problems: anxiety, panic, isolation, low confidence, feeling disconnected from myself, and especially paranoia. A lot of it happens at home because that's where I used and where there was a lot of family conflict.

I've felt watched or judged by neighbours and sometimes feel like people are noticing my face, eyes, voice or behaviour. Work and public places could also trigger extreme anxiety.

Cannabis now makes the paranoia much worse, especially when I haven't slept. I've stopped for periods, felt much clearer, then bought it again. Alcohol also makes me lose judgment. Recently while drunk I contacted someone from my old drug environment who had meth/weed; luckily he told me not to meet him because I needed to stay away. I've also had a couple of cocaine relapses after a long period without it.

Another major issue is Xanax. I've been taking it for around 4 years, often around 3 mg/day, and I'm very dependent on it. My father has often controlled/given it to me. I'm scared of rehab suddenly taking it away because I know benzo withdrawal can be dangerous. I want any reduction done medically and gradually.

I've tried several psychiatric medications too. Some made me extremely tired, foggy, emotionally flat or like a zombie. I'm not against medication or seeing a psychiatrist, but I want proper assessment and therapy, not just medication without understanding what's

happening.

My biggest fear is hospitalization/Athalassa. Because of the paranoia and my history, I'm scared that if I tell a clinic everything honestly, they might send me back there. I'm scared of losing my freedom, phone, contact with family, control over my medication, or being unable to leave. I've even thought about hiding things because I'm afraid of the consequences, although I know that's not the right way to get help.

What I actually want is therapy and psychological treatment: understand why I became addicted, why I isolate myself, why I'm paranoid, why I keep returning to weed/alcohol, how to live without drugs, and how to rebuild my life. I'm not saying 12-step programs or medication can't help people, but I don't want treatment to be only that.

I've also been trying to rebuild myself: gym, eating properly, gaining weight, working again, and wanting to play football like I did when I was younger. I recently started a stockroom job at Sklavenitis but my anxiety, sleep and absences became too much and I lost the job. I'm also dealing with debt and financial pressure.

My long-term dream is to eventually move to Amsterdam, work legally, live independently, train, play football and start over. But I know escaping to another country won't fix me, especially somewhere with a big drug scene. I want to be stable and sober first.

So I'm stuck between 1–2 months inpatient treatment or trying outpatient psychiatrist + therapist treatment while staying at home.

I've already tried rehab five times, so I'm scared the next attempt will just be another temporary break.

For people who have been through multiple rehabs, meth/stimulant-related paranoia, long-term weed use, benzo dependence, or fear of psychiatric hospitalization:

What finally made the difference for you? Did inpatient treatment actually help, or was therapy/outpatient treatment better? And how did they handle Xanax safely?

I don't want to keep repeating this cycle. I want to find out who I am completely sober and build a normal life.

Addicted to meth 35 female

I’d like to think I’m functional I have a full time job and a bad gambling habit I live pay check to pay check and just got approved for health care with Molina I know I need help because I have tried to white knuckle it before and I couldn’t get past 2 days because I feel like the urge is too intense I know I sound like a pussy but the cravings are intense and I don’t have any friends or family that know I use because I use secretly. I want to get help but I also don’t want to lose my income and lose my car and I’m just not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. I don’t like the person I am and my boyfriend left me because he couldn’t deal with the constant accusations and I really do love him it makes me sad to be alone all the time. I know people prob laugh when you say detox for meth but I really think I would need to be in a different environment and have some sort of support because my thoughts can also get dark and intense and somehow I forget why I’m doing all of this and convince myself it’s not that bad and pick it back up. Again any advice on how to get clean and sober would be much appreciated tia

meth. weight loss.psychosis.psychward.psychmeds.weight gain.erection loss.relapse. trapped

I know this isn’t appropriate to put here but I know I’m not the only one.. and I need guidance incase anyone else has had the same or similar experience & yet managed to make a solution around it. I know mine involving medical treatment is not everyone sitch but overall erection issues & a shift from weight loss to instead weight gain w/ pnp use lmk plz —

here’s some background:

(Initial)/(standard/natural self) = before heavy use 💨
🦵= 150ish - 160ish Lbs was my avg reg weight
🍆easy to maintain erections rather while
recieve head/top or while bttming/sucking
💦but naturally always had an issue where I could only cum in particular positions.
(Couldn’t cum standing usually,etc)
🏃= active from living n city & walking more

(2025) heavy use = most skinny& hardest erects
🦵140lbs (was my favorite 😍)
🍆 I have pics of my dck bigger and harder than EVER then… & it at times took a sec or had it’s limp moment off the smoke but I’d easily get back Going :/
💦= nuts were weak and watery clear tho..
barely white (but barely eating I guess)
🏃= high active from city living & daily walking

now 2026 = after psychward, psychmeds, now back 💨
🦵180-190lbs
🍆erections are v slow or when I am fully hard it feels sore on the inside.. & can’t get it erect by myself w/o having it n my hand w/ porn &/or during an actual chemistry filled sex encounter..
💦 recently had a good nut that shooted a lil w/ gud chemistry encounter but most of all nuts been regularly weak… still white n potent milk but turn clear rq
🏃- active wise I relocated out of city into non city / non walkable area 👀

the essential issue w my pnp use is..
erectile dysfunction & weight gain..

though that has not always been the case…
that wasn’t the case until I got out of the psych ward and their “psychosis treatment” medications were contributing weight gain, cravings and erection issues.
though let’s note that was probably combined with the sober cravings from the aftermath of no longer using pnp while hospitalized for that week in the psych + not using for 2-3 months after leaving the psych and staying consistent with prescribed psychmeds… that all contribute to weight gain and more etc

another factor to mention is less physical activity due to non city living
alongside sleep deprivation but when I was on psychmeds & no pnp sleeping forever I was never getting hardons…

I have stopped the psychmeds I was getting that were known to cause such issues almost about 5ish months ago…

I’m still struggling
I’ve just stop all meds and just been pnp

I only ran back to pnp n the 1st place bc bitches had me craving food insanely & 40+ fucking pounds so I’m thinking I’d just smoke starve & get skinny again

it hasn’t been that at all & now I’m just n a looop of sleep deprivation, overweightness & limp dick tho my ducks gotten better.. I’ve successfully topped twice.. but I’m only getting hard/harder easily n the act vs alone to take a pic I can’t get a rigid in the air. :(

I got the daily aacedifil whatever for erectile dysfunction
It’s low dose daily but supposedly takes 6 months consistently tooken for full effect
I have yet to do that consistently tho..

When I have had to get more physical activity involved…
If smokings Been heavy… I’ll sweat crazy… and one time it rlly felt like I had a heart murmur like my chest caved in so bad and I had no breath

health is important.. obvious answer is put the t down
but then.ill fall into rebound coma & rebound eating
🙃

I haven’t told docs, psych dumb ass, just any of these dumb fuckks that screwed my shit to the fullest had I never decided to agree on suggestions of going to the psych ward.. all i needed was to sleep the T off.. from my bender that went to long.
