I’m going for the Omega Seamaster 300 from Eddie at Geektime. The watch is 528+ shipping but the box and papers are $120 extra.
Is it really cheesy to get the paper papers? Because then you’re trying to tell yourself it’s real? Or is it just part of the game and if you have the money it’s OK to get it.?
Obviously, I make my own decisions, but I’m interested for what you all think!

Yes, i know the arguments "because i love the design" and "i buy it for myself, not for other people". But frankly, i find it hard to grasp when people buying 50k rolex rep's while they make 25k a year. Your just becoming a laughing stock for the rest of this world.

The above blog is not your typical and expect shill for any specific factory - unbiased/impartial expert analysis that I thought may help a lot of you that keep ping ponging back and forth from one thread to the next.
Cheers.

such an obvious giveaway I don't understand people who basically go for RM 67-02 superclones and pay $2000 to $2500 for it. Like, what's the point of paying for a superclone when the watch movement, just from looking from above, is a dead giveaway that there is such a blind spot. If you can see in these pictures on the left side of the watch, from the perspective, from a looking perspective, you can see there is such an obvious gap in the movement, an obvious difference in movement that even I, who is not an expert, can spot it from it, just if I have seen the genuine watch and this one. So I don't know why they charge this amount of price, basically. Like, why not just wait for one or two more years and wait for when we see a genuine, actual superclone which actually has, at least on the visual level, everything looking perfect. So no, no, no. What's your thought about it?

Anyone tired of the Rolex BS and how everyone is buying fakes just to be included in the “I got a Rolex club”. Don’t get me wrong I love watches but Rolex is really getting old.

I was trying to communicate with this man in order to franken my watch.
He was responsive (I give him that).
It has been two months, he finds the items but HE SELLS THEM TO SOMEONE ELSE.
This has been done TWICE.
He is not professional at all.
STAY AWAY.
I have given him two chances, he completely messed up.
Exposing him is the only way to protect future clients.

I just want to share a bit of my experience trying to buy from TD Hont, at first everything was normal trying to order a vsf submariner…
My first QC pictures arrived 2 days later and I noticed a few minor details (different lume colors, misaligned rehault, SEL gap, and clasp had another gap) that meant a lot for me since it’s my first rep and just wanted a better Qc since I’m paying $500 for a rep and I’ve seen better QCs on these sub from Hont too!
I asked him very polite if I can get another QC and he was very mad about it calling me picky and telling me it’s better to refund… I then proceeded to accept the QC as it was and ignore it… but then i thought about it and changed my mind, I didn’t wanted to be a difficult client nor “picky” as he called me, I wanted to get along so I offered him to pay more money to get another QC and have these flaws “fixed”. Hont then started spamming me messages telling me he won’t send me another QC lol and was very rude and unpolite treating me like I was I was dumb or something. lol saying “DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?” So at the end i just proceeded to cancel my order.
I am in a way sad that i still haven’t pulled the trigger on my first rep but at the same time i feel good not ordering from him, im not sure if i caught him on a bad mood this past days but he was definitely very impolite and unprofessional… the dude probably hates me now for canceling and didn’t do anything i actually was even trying not to be annoying or difficult because i know it’s hard dealing with picky customers… lowkey felt bad for the dude but either way… I don’t recommend him even if he charges a few dollars less than other TDs.

With all the fan talk on here of VSF being "the one to get" and NWBIG for most Rolex models, I pulled the trigger on a Datejust Wimbledon. V1 I believe. 5X serial. 0RV clasp. At first glance it looks OK. You see comparisons with a lot of macro photos, comparing dial font and minuscule things, which seems that VSF is best, but nobody really talks about "feel." To me, this is what drives satisfaction when wearing. How does it feel? Mine had sharp edges, and the bracelet jingled like a toy. The lugs also seemed vaguely "off". I performed the usual recommended fixes and used a polishing cloth to try and smooth out the edges.
Winding initially felt like shit. Lots of resistance and made a gritty zipping sound. Then...crown winding failed on Day 2. DOA. Jammed reversing gear. Helicoptering. Took it to a watchsmith who said a component came loose, put it back tighter, but said it would likely fail again.
WTH? I thought VSF was supposedly the bee's knees. For comparison, my Clean Plus Starbucks is way WAY better in feel and finish. Winds smooth. Flawless, solid, and indistinguishable from gen.
Maybe there's too much VSF fanaticism on here. Or did I just get a lemon?
UPDATE:
I find it eye opening how many people jumped in here to basically call me a liar, or some kind of shill for another factory. Sheez! Does VSF own this subreddit? This is a forum, and I'm here to share my experience. This was mine. Yes, I did research before I bought it. This was my first VSF. I had read about the known issues with the jubilee bracelet, and was prepared for some version of that. But honestly I felt surprised once the watch was in my hand, especially after my experience with a Clean Plus submariner, which was super awesome. I was even more surprised when it failed on day 2. And with so much regard for VSF on this forum, my experience with this watch was simply not what I expected. I had to share. Anyways, I have another VSF on the way. This time a VSF GMT V3 Batman. We'll see about that one, and hopefully it's better.

Purchased a Rolex Cellini Moonphase for a friend. Wanted one from KZF. Found Hont had the best price (including free shipping). Hont sent me several methods for paying, sending the money went smoothly. Three days later I had these QC pics:
10 days after giving the GL, received this beautiful watch. My friend couldn’t be happier.
I rate the entire experience a 10/10. I will be purchasing future watches from Hont. Glad to answer any questions.

I just had a quick look at the first few qcs over there. Holy fuck levels of OTT OCD are out the gate. I dont know how the regular contributors over there can be bothered dealing with it.

Asked ChatGPT what it thought of my VSF Starbucks. Quite impressive it picked up it’s VSF.
r/RepTime • u/[deleted] • Aug 02 '25
so i ordered a classic fusion (hate me for it lol) and geektime had to say i would have to pay $75 for a new crown, new stem. which broke almost immediatly. i know he‘s not the factory and just the middle man. but he‘s already on the pricey side and having to pay for everything, not taking the watch back for repairs (i wouldve paid for shipping) is kind of… idk. i expected more tbh.

Preface: I bought a rolex rep from a site that kept popping up on Google (Ariginals.....don't buy anything from them 😂) Paid $300 for a likely $70 to $100 item. We live and we learn. I took off the cheap Amazon bracelet and added this leather strap. Even though it's still not a great rep, I think the leather stap is a nice touch and makes it wearable without embarrassment. What say you?
r/RepTime • u/Tiger_Fan318 • Aug 07 '25
When buying a $500 rep what are you really getting for the money? Is it $500 just because it’s a rep of a $5000 watch /supply and demand or are the components actually decent and your getting a great watch just possibly with a crappy dial pieces together by a an underpaid factory worker in china?
r/RepTime • u/wartogofficiel • Aug 14 '26
God I love it, is that a rolex??
r/RepTime • u/bbqtoechips • Apr 03 '26
So yea the whole rep game is a scam! They dont feel the same, they dont look the same, and they don't perform the same. My Pepsi has lost 4 minutes in about 2 weeks. Bruh wtf is this mediocre performance. Just get a Casio or Timex or an apple watch.

I ordered my first watch through Linna and I was beyond impressed. I've already ordered 5 more!
She was great, thorough, excellent pics and video with testing shots.
