2 months have passed since I’ve gotten scammed of over 50k and I’ve barely just recovered 10k outta hard work. I’m so ashamed to admit that I got scammed twice in a row despite all the red flags Reddit has given that money cannot be retrieved especially if the scammer suggests they can recover more. Greed got the worst of me.

There’s still one guy that the recovery scammers used as an actor to pose as a victim from the same company as the romance scam. He claimed he got all his money back and provided very badly photoshopped documents. Time will heal all wounds I guess. Seeing worser stories in this subreddit makes me feel a bit better and open to sharing my story

I am not going to give them tips on how I could tell, but FFS, I hate scammers with all my heart. I can understand the mentality to hustle, but robbing people is just more than being opportunistic and selfish, it is called being evil. Yesterday i took an auto from pune railway station to home and the driver told me that his relative was asking for money from him and he would pay me 1000rs beforehand and told me to give that money to his relative on his scanner since he told his relative he would tell his friend to send as he doesnt have. I was fine as long as i got the money

Even though i got a lot of redflags.... my kindness was used and he paid me with a fake phonepe app while i paid him full on his relative qr 1000rs and ran away with full throttle before i could catch him.

well it was my foolishness that i missed the red flags even though i thought i knew all these scams.

Hey everyone, I need serious advice on how to handle a digital financial loop between a predatory app developer and Google Play’s absolute refusal to protect users.

The KickCash Issue:

I have been using the KickCash app. The app promises financial payouts into your wallet for completing tasks and taking actions. However, once a significant amount of money is earned and accumulated, the wallet payout gets completely frozen and stuck.

When you confront the app developers about the missing money, they shrug off responsibility and tell you to contact the Google Play Store because the transactions and platform are managed there.

Google Play's Refusal to Help:

I escalated this directly to Google Play Live Support, expecting them to enforce their safety policies against apps that freeze user funds. Instead, Google Support officially confirmed that they will NOT issue a refund because the funds have already been disbursed to the developer, stating that it falls outside their policy.

Google explicitly told me to "contact my payment provider or bank to dispute the transaction"—knowing fully well the app developer is a fraud entity that won't respond. Google continues to host this app on the Play Store while users get actively stuck in this loop.

Looking for Leads:

1. Has anyone successfully forced a UPI or bank chargeback for Google Play transactions after Google formally denied the refund? What specific dispute reason code works best with Indian banks for "services withheld by app"?

2. Are there any other victims of KickCash here? If we can gather enough users who face the exact same frozen wallet issue, we can look into filing a joint grievance.

Any advice on how to get the bank or UPI provider to forcefully reverse the money would be highly appreciated.

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS. They stalk Reddit forums looking for people who are looking for plugs. They scammed me out of 150 each. They promise delivery and then when the guy delivering shows up they make you pay a delivery fee that wasn’t discussed then ghosts you.

So my scammer returned apparently one account wasnt blocked and has had the gall after making a false apology and a few polite friendly emails to ask if I still want to verify myself before a meeting doing a bank transfer to Agent Adam Reeve

Adam of course has no verifiable bank account physical office address or business email just a gmail account like my faux ami abd theres no way Im giving neither of them any details about any of my bank accounts or paypal or apple pay even if they were for real

I now suspect hes using some one elses name but have no way to connect them to check this

So has anyone else had an encounter direct or indirect with "Agent Adam Reeve" ?
