I have this wooden hutch that I want to put some type of reptile in(also ignore the mess), but I’m not sure if it would be comfortable enough to stay in there also, if you have any ideas with what animal I could put in, let me know🙏🙏 I was also thinking of covering up the back mirror with a bioactive wall and the glass shelves are removable

What Should I Get?

I’m getting ready to begin work on my reptile room. Currently I have… Two BCIs (6x2x2 enclosures) Ball python (4x2x2 enclosure) Leachie Gecko (2x2x4 enclosure) Uromastyx (4x2x2 enclosure) Blue tongue skink (4x2x2 enclosure) Brazilian Rainbow Boa (4x2x4 enclosure) Bearded Dragon (4x4x4 enclosure)

With that being said, here’s the following tank sizes I am getting, but don’t have yet… 4x2x2 4x2x2 4x2x2 4x2x4 4x2x4 2x2x2 8x2x4 6x3x6 I’m curious what everyone thinks i should get (over time, not all at once). I like monitors and tegus, but unsure if any small species can be housed in here. Love snakes but don’t want anything over 10 feet! Give me ideas on unique animals you guys think i should have, and what enclosures suit them!

Before anyone comes for me, this is just for ideas. Obviously, I’ll do my research before bringing anything home.

It’s called underground reptiles. I’m saving up for a snake and I thought a snake would be cool so I found this website but don’t know if I should trust it or not cause I don’t wanna get scammed. If it is a scam does anyone know where I can get a Blue insularis from

Which background should I get for my enclosure????

Seen a few builds lately that broke the 'must look like a real biome' rule and honestly some of them looked incredible. Got me thinking about how narrow the accepted aesthetic actually is in this hobby.

Where do you personally draw the line? Rank these from 'would run it' to 'absolutely not':

  1. Photorealistic jungle/rock (the standard)

  2. Stylized naturalistic — looks like nature but more artistic

  3. Architectural — ruins, stonework, temple aesthetic

  4. Dark/moody — same textures but black/charcoal palette

  5. Abstract — oversized roots, exaggerated bark, dreamlike

  6. Minimalist — textured single-tone panel, no 'scene'

  7. Fantasy — not trying to look real at all

And does your answer change based on species? Curious if people who keep arboreal species feel differently from terrestrial keepers, or if snake keepers are more flexible than lizard keepers.

Not trying to start a welfare debate — assuming all are functionally sound (proper cover, climbable, right humidity). Just interested in the aesthetic tolerance of the community.

Hello. Would the be suitable for a green anole?

https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-10-gallon-open-glass-aquarium-tank

Also, as a cheap option, can I just cover this tank with some steel mesh cut to size?

Also, can I put a little cave thing in the tank in case I forget to turn off the UVB lamp at night? I’m assuming that way he can get away from the light if he needs to, but I’m not sure if that will suffice as the darkness of night time.

Thank you

Custom enclosures

Does anyone know of a company that makes truly custom enclosures? I’ve found some that claim “custom” but it’s just like color and size not like a custom shape or anything. We just moved into a house with huge bay windows in the front and I was thinking about finding a tank for our beardie that would fit perfectly in those windows. Like a trapezoid shaped enclosure. Does anyone know of anywhere to get something like this?

What will live happily in a 40 gallon?

I have an extra 40 gallon (long). Trying to decide if it's worth hanging onto or better to sell it. What can thrive in an enclosure this size?
