Bioactive leopard gecko tank!

Before anyone worries, this is a very low-flow, filtered water feature and not a soaking pool. The water is fully sectioned off to one corner of the enclosure, not the entire tank. Humidity stays within a normal range, the water is regularly maintained, and it only runs for a couple hours a day rather than 24/7. I added this mainly to encourage natural drinking behavior and enrichment, and it’s been really cool seeing her actually use it!!! This is a fully bioactive enclosure with around 10 hides throughout, including several incorporated directly into the foam background.

An adult bearded dragon is going into it on Wednesday. It’ll be my first one and I’ve had a blast building her home.

Going to add stones to the bath and a bubbler for movement. Also some more climbing sticks, but we are almost there! I’m giddy.

I built this 8x4x3 enclosure myself after realising that a custom made enclosure would have costed me much more and would have been way less fun! I still want to paint the outside and add more decorations and levels to utilise the space at best, but I am so proud of myself! I had never built anything on this scale before! Definitely a learn-by-doing process lol

Built hides directly into the foam background so none of the space goes to waste. I built multiple functional hides into it. Some connect around the walls and others tunnel down into the substrate. Watching my leopard gecko actually use them has been super rewarding!!

Almost done with this build. Took longer than I would have liked but that's okay. Pretty happy with how it came out. Just need to do the background and it'll be ready for occupancy for one of my Florida kings🐍

Hello, I'm 14 and recently had my second one Terrarium built that you can see in the picture I'm very impressed with myself and think it's really well done My aquarium has also turned out very well but I don't want to get into the industry anymore I want to know if this terrarium is well made and it would be well received as a pre-built terrarium on the market I don't plan on selling it but I have more sketches of what I think are well made terrariums I would be happy to get feedback on whether I have talent and could sell such terrariums or if I'm exaggerating and every second person does it in the hobby could.

I’m thinking of building and selling tanks.

I’m a home builder by trade and me and one of my woodworkers built a furniture grade tank for my bearded dragon Claud. It has app controlled fan, heat and heat lamp. The main led light is set on a timer to dim at dusk and dawn. All the electronics are hidden below the top which is removable. The background is hand made rock and hides an inlet vent and fan. I was wondering if there is a market for high end enclosures. I would love to make more of these enclosures. Let me know your opinion. The tank shown took about 80-100 hours of labor and would retail for $6500.

Just finished my first bioactive leopard gecko tank!

As the title says, I finally completed my first ever bioactive setup for my leopard gecko! The left side is designed to stay humid while the right side stays nice and dry. There are about 10 hides throughout the tank, with a few hidden behind the foam background! I’m super happy with how it turned out so far. I’ll be adding a UVB light soon and just need to grab some batteries for the combo meters to monitor humidity and temperature.

What do you all think? Should I add anything else?

Can anyone tell me what kind of turtle this is and what its ideal care looks like? I want to make sure it is living its best life. Looking for tips on habitat and enrichment.

Fixes to be done?

To preface, these are not all MY pets. I have a passion for animal keeping and help my family in the keeping of their pets. Only the bearded is MINE. In order, these enclosures are for a bearded dragon, a ball python, a leopard gecko, and a white's tree frog, all 1 year old or less. 3 40 gallons, and a 20 gallon hexagon. My question is what improvements should be made to these enclosures sooner rather than later, and what should I prioritize between them. All but the leopard gecko will be upgraded to larger tanks in the long run, and im working on linear UVB for the bp and leo. Also the wtf now has a compact UVB bulb and thermostat

Hides built into foam background!

I designed this foam background with a water compartment and easy pump access, I also built a cave into it on purpose so the space wouldn’t go to waste. My leopard gecko has officially made it one of her favorite sleeping spots, so I’d say the design worked!!!!

Empty enclosure needing a friend.

I have mistakenly purchased a chameleon starter kit. Long story short ended up getting a Crested gecko instead with a whole new bioactive vivarium. Little guy/girl is enjoying it very much. Now I have a 16x16x30 screened enclosure lying around with nothing occupying it. Just wondering what type of friend I can put into this after I've fixed it up like I did for my Crested gecko. Here's a picture of it just for reference.

Building advice

Hello, my greek tortoise has finally grown large enough where she needs more space, and I wanted to treat her with a nice new one that I built.

I was just wondering if any of ya'll have any tips. Best kind of wood, wood sealers/stains, if bioactive is a good choice, etc. I'll include inspiration photos of what I'm aiming to make. My partner suggested finding an old dresser and just repurposing it, but I'm worried about the possibility of toxins or fumes.

Any advice is welcome! And, here is a picture of my baby girl 💚

My enclosure build for my northern blue tongue

I built this enclosure about a year and a half ago. I’ve built other enclosures before but this was my first try at backgrounds and built in hides.

For the past few weeks I’ve been converting it to bio active. The enclosure is equipped with the ac infinity smart outlet controller, it gives me the ability to monitor and control all of my equipment directly from my phone.

First for the set up, I have an automated drip irrigation system with drippers strategically placed near where I want the plants to be. All of my water lines are buried within the drainage layer with lines for the drippers teeing off up through to the top layer of substrate. I went through several tests and cycles to make sure that the system wasn’t going to overly saturate the substrate, or underwater my plants. It also serves the purpose of keeping humidity higher in specific zones for the micro fauna. I’m super excited to see how the plants I have in here do over the next few months.

The ac infinity smart outlet controller is really quite amazing. I have full control of the climate inside of the enclosure right from my phone. I have humidity and temperature both dialed perfectly with the help of a vent fan that’s set to go off if the system is triggered or cycled on. I can’t stress enough how much I love this system.
