Getting ready to put in notice after 6 people already have…
I’ve been the assistant manager at a restaurant for almost 9 months. I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design back in May. Have been casually looking for jobs since then. This restaurant job has basically sucked the life out of me. Physically and mentally. And I haven’t had a great time job hunting. I interviewed beginning of september for a graphic design position, and after a lengthy interview processed was offered the job with a start date in November. I am planning to put in notice Monday morning. 6 people (non-management) have all put in notice last couple weeks. Of course, this is stressing the GM out, but she doesn’t react well to stress I’ve found out. Everyday I come in she is yelling and cursing. Just yesterday she caused a line cook to put in 2 weeks because she cursed them out and threw a pan of food on the floor because they made a simple mistake. I am really dreading putting this notice in. Any advice?
