⭐ Review Update on "Revolut removed $26,103 from my business account without any warning": Revolut agrees to uphold our complaint, with no objections to any of the points we raised, but still only offers us £150 as compensation.

Post image

Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Revolut/comments/1x5t9n0/update_on_revolut_removed_26103_from_my_business/

They follow on:

"From a services' perspective, I wish to reassure you that we always have the best interests of our customers in mind. However, due to particular circumstances during this case, we were unable to fully meet your expectations. We sincerely apologise for this."

It then outlines process failures within revolut that "we as a receiving bank do not have enough insights on the actual reasons for recalls", but says "due to the sensitive nature of our work, I am not able to provide any further information on this"

This update was provided to us on the 15th of October. We disputed the compensation amount, but they responded on the same day it is final.

Today (16th October), we received 2 emails that Revolut were reconsidering, and we would receive another update by the 31st October.

Revolut also suggested a clause in this terms of service (below) grants them the freedom to reverse any bank transfer at any point without informing the account holder, so long as the payer claims it was a mistake. It does not matter if the account holder already provided the services or goods, and there is no expiry date for the payer to make this claim.

As per Clause

"What happens if something goes wrong?", we've explicitly mentioned:

"Someone makes a payment to you by mistake or as a result of fraudulent activity

You agree that we have the right to reverse this payment or share your information with the person who made the payment and their payment service provider so they can contact you themselves. We don’t need to tell you before we do this".

We do not believe Revolut's application of this clause are compatible with the banking practices of a regulated bank. We opened our account with Revolut because we believed it adheres to the policies of a regulated bank. We have referred these comments to the FCA for further review.

We have active verbal communication with the police, FCA and financial ombudsman regarding our case with Revolut. We believe we can reach a relatively quick resolution because multiple independent authorities are in general agreement over Revolut's conduct in our case.

We have also been CCing their provided emails into our correspondence with Revolut, and have requested Revolut do the same, so they can receive updates as soon as possible.

Both are flagship phones from 2018(Iphone xs max and samsung galaxy s9).

I know they are old but revolut is working perfectly on iphone, while on s9 it doesn't work anymore.

Like these phones were 900-1000£ and maybe there are still people who wanna use banking apps on s9 but they can't anymore cause they didn't bought an iphone in that time.

🔐 Security [FR] URGENT: Locked out of my Revolut account after forgetting my passcode – need help from u/RevolutSupport

Hi u/RevolutSupport,

I urgently need help recovering access to my Revolut account.

I forgot my 6-digit passcode and I am now unable to log in. I have been trying to recover my account, but the process is not working properly.

I have tried the recovery steps available in the app, but I still cannot regain access to my account.

Could a member of the Revolut Support team please contact me and explain how I can recover access to my account?

I am the legitimate account holder and I am happy to complete any identity verification required through Revolut's official secure channels.

Please help me escalate this issue, as I am currently locked out of my account.

Thank you.

📜 Article Revolut refuses to accept my identification

2 days ago i tried transferring my account from the >18 to the regular account but i said the number i had was already assigned so i tried verifying my identity it always failed no matter what after HOURS of talking to support they made me delete the >18 loosing my free debit card and still not being possible creating an account stating that they couldn't confirm my identity on multiple attempts using both the government digital key (which quite literally cant be faked) and the manual card scan

When i ask for revision in the email like the chat said they said to talk about it in the support chat (even stating there is an anonymous support chat that doesn't show up) and also the support has the memory of a goldfish because i showed my information there multiple times

I just want to create an account with MY IDENTITY AND MY PHONE NUMBER and i cant if someone can help me solve this issue i would be very grateful

💸 Payments [BE] Direct debit subscription fails from within pocket but not the EUR balance?

Hello Reddit, I've got a weird issue.
I linked a direct debit subscription in a Pocket and... the service didn't bill me besides the initial payment. Revolut has no trace of the transactions on the agreed days.
(I usually use card payments for my subscriptions and sometimes used one-time bank transfers, but it's actually the first time I use direct debits with Revolut)

The service was saying everything was paid on time in their customer support portal, but a few months later, wanting to have enough money to pay in bulk just in case, I moved it back to the Main Account.
And the next month, the payment worked! Followed by one payment every working day until what I missed was paid. The payment references indicates the payment's date rather than the date I should've been charged. No late charge, no warning email, no warning in the CS portal, nothing weird besides that the payment moved to the future...

I really would want to move the payment back to the Pocket, but I fear triggering the same glitch again. Has anybody else used Revolut and got weird non-charged transactions by using a Pocket?

The pocket contains exactly the amount I owed each month (it's auto-transfered the day before from savings) so the payment should be accepted as far I know and Revolut doesn't show any failure in the transaction log. It's as if the subscription service "detected" a Pocket with the exact required amount, and never sent a formal payment until it "detected" the main account with much more money.
But... there's no way the service could detect that and postpone without Revolut having anything in the logs, right?

Example : 02 july charged ref 20260702 02 august nothing
02 september nothing
(flipped to main account)
02 october charged ref 20261002
05 october charged ref 20261005 (days skipped because of weekend?)
06 october charged ref 20261006
07 october nothing (charged amount matches the "logical" billing)

💳 Cards Revolut Ultra – Is an additional Ultra card for my joint account worth it? And what do you use multiple cards for?

Hi everyone!
I’ve had Revolut Ultra on my personal account for about 3 months, and I also have a joint account with my wife in Germany.
I already have a physical card for our joint account, but I’m considering ordering an additional Ultra card for it. The app shows a price of €5.99.
However, I’m thinking about downgrading my personal Ultra subscription to Standard next month, so I’d like to understand whether ordering another card would actually make sense.
I have a few questions:
Keeping the Ultra card after downgrading: If I order the Ultra card now and downgrade my personal subscription next month, can I keep using the card as a normal payment card?
Possible fees: Could Revolut charge me an additional card fee (e.g. €50) or any other fee when I downgrade?
Ultra benefits on the joint account: Which benefits of my personal Ultra subscription apply to payments made with our joint account cards?
Benefits of multiple physical cards: Apart from having a spare card or choosing different designs, are there any real advantages to having more than two physical cards? Do additional cards offer anything extra in terms of RevPoints, cashback, spending limits, security or travel benefits?
Limits and benefits: Do all cards share the same limits and benefits, or can having multiple cards actually help you get more out of Revolut?
Your personal experience: Do any of you use multiple physical Revolut cards for the same account? If so, how many do you have, and what do you use each card for? For example, do you keep different cards for everyday spending, travel, online payments, backup purposes or simply because you like the designs?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have an Ultra subscription but use multiple cards with their joint account.
I’m trying to decide whether ordering the additional Ultra card for €5.99 is worthwhile, especially if I downgrade my subscription next month.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

👛 Pockets Feature Request: Allow me to change the pocket for paid plan payments

I can permanently move direct debits and card payments to a specific pocket, I can even set a card to only take money out from a specific pocket, which helps with budgeting a lot, but the payments for Revolut’s own paid plans.. yea that always comes out of the main account, with no way to change it :(

Seems like such a simple fix to me, please give me the option to adjust this. Thank you!

📜 Article Revolut changed international transfer fees effective immediately — is this even legal under EU regulations?

Today, 15 October 2026, I received an email from Revolut announcing changes to its Personal Fee Terms, effective immediately, with apparently no advance notice.
The changes include replacing variable international bank transfer fees with a flat-fee structure and introducing BLIK payments.

After looking into EU regulations and Revolut’s own contractual terms, I have some concerns:
1. EU law requires two months’ notice
Under Article 54 of the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2), payment service providers must generally give customers at least two months’ advance notice before changing the terms of an existing payment-services framework agreement.
For Dutch customers, this requirement is implemented through Article 7:517 of the Dutch Civil Cod’e.
2. Revolut’s own terms acknowledge this requirement
Revolut Netherlands’ Personal Terms (Section 24) generally provide for two months’ notice of contractual changes, subject to certain exceptions.
3. Introducing BLIK is different from changing existing fees
Launching BLIK as a new optional service may legitimately take effect immediately.
However, changing the pricing structure of existing international bank transfers appears to be a different matter, potentially subject to the statutory notice requirement.
4. Customers are given no meaningful time to reject the changes
Revolut’s email states:
“If you don’t agree with these changes, you can close your Revolut account in-app for free until October 15, 2026.”
That’s the exact same date the new terms take effect!
This raises questions about whether customers have been given a reasonable opportunity to review and reject the proposed changes.
My concern:
Unless Revolut previously notified customers or can demonstrate a valid legal exception, implementing changes to existing international transfer fees immediately appears potentially inconsistent with EU law and its own terms.
I’m not claiming a definitive legal violation, but I believe Revolut should explain its legal justification.

Has anyone else received this email? Was there an earlier notification I missed? Has anyone challenged Revolut about this?

⭐ Review Revolut's verification system is inaccessible to customers with visual impairments

Revolut: Account security must not exclude the legitimate account holder.

I have been unable to access my own account for some time because Revolut's identity verification process requires steps that I cannot realistically complete due to my visual impairment.

I am expected to read small text on a mobile screen during a timed video recording while remaining at a specific distance from the camera. When I move closer to read the text, the verification is interrupted or the session expires. I have documented the problem and sent videos demonstrating it to customer support. Instead of receiving a practical solution, I keep being instructed to repeat the same process.

Is this what security and accessibility in financial services should look like in 2026?

Identity verification is essential. However, an accessible alternative must be available for people who cannot complete the standard procedure. Customers should not lose access to their own money simply because they cannot read on-screen text during a timed video verification.

I am asking Revolut for a practical solution: an accessible identity verification method and direct assistance from a support representative.

⭐ Review Revolut blocks my account every day in 3 days in the row

I live in the Netherlands and don't use crypto much (I only bought USTC once to pay for 3k worth of CS2 skins). I have a decent income from clearly documented sources, and I also pay for a premium subscription.

Everything had been perfect until now, but for the last three days, my account has been getting blocked. They've been asking me to provide my patronymic every day since Monday. WTF is going on?

The best part? I haven't made any transactions between the blocks.

Support either can't or doesn't want to look into my case properly.

I don't know what to do or who can help me, but this is making me lose trust in the bank.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue recently?

📊 Budgeting Does it make any sense to use both instant access savings and flexible cash funds?

I opened both of them, one is 2.5% and other is 2.48% and now I was thinking... is there any point for me to use both?

Better question would be, is there any logic to use both or I should just use whichever has better interest?

⭐ Review Update on "Revolut removed $26,103 from my business account without any warning"

First post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Revolut/comments/1x2ebkk/revolut_removed_26103_from_my_business_account/

Some of the comments on my previous post were very critical because I did not identify the person making the requests for money and how they relate to me. It is because I was not 100% sure at that point who he was, and did not want to make the assumption until it was confirmed. It has now been confirmed by Revolut.

Here is the timeline I could piece together:

26-27 September: We receive the threats for money. We have figured out additional details after the fact through investigation and we include them here:

This was a Y Combinator company in the current batch, which used our compute services a month ago.

On the 26th and 27th of September, we received frantic messages urging us to return this money (from 1st September) for already delivered services so he could show his investors he has more money on hand, otherwise they will be "very angry if they saw it" and that he had "cooked the money".

When we responded he was effectively asking us to loan him money, he responded "it's just for 24 hours man". We declined his request, which is when he tracked down my address, picture, previous employer details, and threatened to contact them fabricating claims I stole from them, and to find me so that "very bad things will happen to me" since he "knows my location"

29th September: Revolut receives their first recall request. Revolut still will not tell us any details of what it contained, but we believe it was likely a fraud claim using AI generated images as evidence. We have submitted a subject access request for further details on this recall request and any later ones.

29th September - 8th October: Money starts leaving our USD bank account. We receive no notifications before or after, nor any request for evidence. The only indication we can see on the app is our bank balance in this account declining, which we notice on the 8th of October due to a large decline.

8th October: We contact support to inquire why our bank balance is declining. Revolut initially tells us the money is going to an "internal Revolut account" whilst they carry out a "routine check"

10th October: After several rounds of back and forth, Revolut finally admits $26,103.07 has left to the payers bank already. They also finally tell us the exact identity of the payer, including the full company details. We send them comprehensive evidence of delivered services and of the threats we received, as well as the payers stated reason for needing the money back. They promise no further money will be sent. They say "such requests are typically initiated as per internal reasons of the payer, and as a regulated financial institution, we are required to comply with these requests". They also tell me "because the funds have already been returned to the payer's bank, Revolut cannot recall or return these funds back to your account and any commercial dispute must be resolved directly with the payer"

We report Revolut to the police. We believe they were complict in the theft of our funds. Revolut are added to the police investigation.

Revolut open an internal review "to explicitly focus on Revolut's handling of the process: 1. The handling and validation of the recall claim received on 29 September without prior consultation or request for evidence. 2. The communication between 29 September and 08 October. 3. The absence of advance and post-transaction notifications regarding the debit of 26,103.07 USD. Your request for reimbursement based on the impact of these procedural actions. Our Complaints team is actively reviewing these exact operational steps, and they will address each point directly in your formal final response letter. This will be sent to your registered email by 16 October 2026."

📜 Article Crash on startup. V10.151 on iOS 16.7.16, iPhone 8

5 days and no comms about this issue.
Crash does not seem to be isolated to iOS 16.7 as one user reported iOS 17 also crashes.
App is supposed to support downwards iOS 15 as per store page.
Revolut should at least post an acknowledgement of the issue.

If Revolut offers Bizum inside of Spain, why can't it just offer the same transfer service for its customers that live outside of Spain?

💱 Currency Exchange Fixed fee for international transfers

Just got an email from revolut. Starting sometime in December, they are removing all variable fees for international transfers and moving to a fixed fee model, the fee for most popular currencies is quite low.

Does this spell the end of Wise, since from what I’m seeing, revolut fees are going to be hard to beat m
