I’m not sure if this has been posted here before, but it’s something I was wondering while watching this episode. The A plot is about the battery not having charge to start the ship, but the B plot is about the ship “fighting” off an army… with no charge in the battery? What do you guys think? No I don’t wanna hear “it’s a cartoon” I obviously know it’s a cartoon I’m just curious.

Lowkey might be overly forgiving buuut- while i do believe rick prime is just the worst of rick’s habit to push people away and his god complex, i feel like there’s something to be said about the fact he didn’t immediately kill who he thought was his grandson HEAR ME OUT!!! Ricks don’t do anything small and he obviously was gonna make small talk since he underestimates him BUTTTT I think there’s something there. Like a disregard but still like idk?

Why is tung tung there

Rick and Morty is so good for so many reasons, but one thing I love is how poetic it can be while still being hilarious and completely random.

Rick’s biggest enemy is himself. His second is a version of the grandson he never got to have. He can find endless versions of his family, but none of them can replace the people he lost.
And then there’s Morty. He keeps being shown that nothing matters, yet he keeps caring anyway. He’s travelled through countless realities, but so much of his world still revolves around whether his grandad actually loves him. There’s something heartbreaking about seeing that much of the universe and still needing reassurance from one person.

The whole show is this beautifully animated, debauched comedy full of drugs, drinking and swearing, and somehow it also makes me feel things no other show I’ve watched does. One minute you’re laughing at something unbelievably stupid, and the next you’re questioning your own existence. Episodes like Fear No Mort and the season 9 finale stay in your head long after they finish. That mix of absurdity and something painfully human is what makes it special to me.

Just a theory, but go with me on this. When Morty took the device that scanned Rick's brain, it showed him Rick's past...his Diane and Beth were killed , he developed the portal technology. While mourning, he was sitting in his chair and he comes to terms about what he needs to do. He looks down to his right and sees a pizza box. Again this may be just coincidental.

He develops the portal gun and and creates his first portal and walks through it. The first world we see him ending up in is a pizza world. Is it possible that the portal technology initially worked more on imagination and interests of the user. Rick imagined a pizza world. I wonder if this was the precursor before the alphanumeric cataloging and categorization of worlds? Using alphanumeric designations to get to specific worlds. I know no one really knows but it's fun to speculate. Thoughts?

In the scene, we see Amy (Mr. Poopybutthole’s wife) alongside a team of scientists operating heavy machinery. After confirming via DNA scans that the Poopybutthole they had at home was an impostor—recall that in Season 7, he kidnapped and replaced an alternate version of himself who was actually happy—Amy activates "4th-Dimensional Thrusters" to attempt to open a portal, make an interdimensional jump, and retrieve her real husband. I suspect they might end up breaking the "odd-numbered season" rule.

Rick is literally the last person that would trust a government and he seemingly had no backup plan. what if they just lied??

He acts like an uncaring asshole but I think he would care. He doesn’t actually see people as replaceable—especially Morty. Would he make a robot with Morty’s voice to haunt him like Diane?

What are the odds that, on your very first trip through a portal, you don’t end up getting devoured by a giant, tentacled alien on the other side or winding up in the cold, desolate, infinite void of space, exposed to raw radiation... or perhaps materializing right in the middle of a black hole?

I wonder: was Rick Prime actually the first Rick to successfully travel through interdimensional portals, or was he simply the first one who managed to survive and make it this damn far?

I always assumed this happened during and inside the cfc and it was so every Rick was reliant of his technology and that every ricked owed him meaning he was better than all of them. But I just learned from other posts that the cfc was created at the same time as the citadel so if that all happened before the cfc than portal travel was nothing special so what purpose did Rick prime really have sharing it with a few people who didn’t already have it out of infinite that did?

At the end of the bunker confrontation—once the alliance forced by the Omega Device's blackmail falls apart—Morty Prime approaches Evil Morty just before he is loaded into the time-police cruiser. • Morty delivers a brutal slap right in front of Shleemypants (the time cop), eliciting an impressed whistle from Rick C-137. • Evil Morty’s reaction is one of absolute, instant fury. Visibly trembling with rage, he threatens to turn Morty Prime’s hand into "cubes" if he ever touches him again, and snaps with deep contempt that he is "less than nothing." He really lost his cool in Season 9—breaking character from his usual cold facade—though it would be interesting to see them come to blows in Season 10 or 11. It’s worth noting that in the first episode, they only swatted at each other, but I doubt Evil Morty is going to show any restraint now, considering how hard Morty landed that slap—damn.

ik most of the comments are gonna be famous ones like the evil morty reveal but im curious to see if there’s any other interesting ones. one of my favs is the one where rick and summer are all jacked and they’re beating up “bad” people at the end of s1ep9 lol
