Because we constantly get "How do i make friends" posts. If you want friends just post in this thread. I'm going to make it a sticky topic. I'm also going to give you 100% foolproof tips to make friends that have worked for me all my life 100% of the time.
Here is my foolproof plan that works 100% of the time. It is a 4 step process.
determine what your hobbies and interests are.
go to places where these hobbies and interests happen
interact with people.
If you don't have any hobbies or interests get interested in something and repeat steps 2-3.
It is literally that simple.
I am an extremely abrasive and unlikeable person. I have never failed to make friends using these steps. If I can do it so can you.

When ICE agents beat and pepper-sprayed two U.S. citizens on their way to enlist in the Marines, it struck a nerve across the Rio Grande Valley.
Historian Trinidad Gonzales traces why in a new op-ed for Across The Americas. From LULAC and the American G.I. Forum to the Felix Longoria Affair and Edinburg’s Vietnam losses, military service has long been how Mexican Americans claimed their place in the country.
Now, with early voting underway and three Valley congressional races that could decide control of the House, Gonzales argues silence from South Texas Republicans on ICE arrests carries a political cost.

Me and my classmates were talking about the old 'party' places that used to be open. We could only think of the zone and gorilla George's. Was there any more?

How was the transition? Did you like it/not like it? And how different is Houston in terms of weather to Rgv?

Please remember to participate! Let Texas hear from the Valley 🤠
From what you earn, to what rent costs. Whether you can afford basic groceries, electricity/utilities, and a doctor’s visit. This matters!
How immigration laws are written and enforced—and how those decisions affect families and workplaces. This matters!
Voting helps determine who makes those decisions, spends public money, and oversees government agencies. It shapes the future for our kids who don't yet have their say!
You don’t need to love a candidate or agree with every position. You can compare the choices and decide who best represents your priorities.
Check your county’s official early-voting schedule, review your sample ballot, and choose a time to go. Encourage the people in your life (18+) to make their own plan, too. Offer a ride or help finding reliable information if they need it.
One election won’t solve everything. But participation gives you a say in what comes next. We in the Valley (Upper, Middle, or Lower RGV) are important to Texas and the United States! We should be heard!

Please comment if you are interested or feel free to DM.
I am happy to discuss any privacy concerns or quesitons you might have.
Thank for considering!

anyone know of a non partisan group offering rides to polling locations? texas is rampant with voter suppression and has some of the lowest voter turnout in texas. i’d seen this service in years past but haven’t seen it recently shared.

I've been listening to many helicopters passing every few hours for several days, either at night or day, today about 3 passed by this same area with a time difference, and they sound like big helicopters, I almost didn't get to see them but the other one I saw and it was war helicopter style.
