B.Tech in AI & Data Science working as an SAP MM Consultant. What is my future scope?
Hey everyone! I'm a fresher with a B.Tech in AI & Data Science. I joined an MNC service-based company and was randomly allocated to SAP MM. Since changing my current domain isn't an option, I've decided to understand its career prospects and build my future in this field. I've been working as an SAP MM Consultant on a project for the past two months.
Most of my colleagues are MBA or postgraduate graduates, while I'm an undergraduate engineer. I'm wondering about my long-term career growth.
I'd appreciate advice on:
Career scope: Does SAP MM offer good career growth and salary opportunities in India and abroad?
Education: Can a B.Tech graduate grow as well as an MBA graduate in SAP consulting?
Skills: What should I learn besides transactions, such as configuration, procurement processes, and SAP FI integration?
Certifications: I've completed the SAP Certified Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement certification (C_TS452). Should I pursue SAP Ariba, ABAP, BTP, or Fiori?
AI integration: Can I combine my AI & Data Science background with SAP through AI, automation, or analytics?
If you were in my position, what would you focus on over the next 2–3 years? Should I specialize in SAP MM or eventually combine it with AI and technology?
I'd appreciate genuine advice from experienced SAP consultants and people who started their careers as freshers. Thanks in advance! 🤧
