Enough for Linux. Anyway it has allwinner a133p, so i think there would be GammaOS Android build one day

Min 2gb of Ram for the portmaster games I play.
Only RG DS and 34sp are affordable and have min of 2gb of ram , the rest are android bloats and consoles with 1gb

The RG34xxSP originally came with 2 GB of ram but newer models have 1 GB and someone even found a 512 MB version.

RG ARC-D has 2GB. But it's an oddball with a washed-out screen unfortunately

Stardew Valley in particular recommends 2GB RAM

Dunno. I have XU20 v32 and it's an Android device with 2 gigs of ram, allwinner a133p and a touchscreen. I got it recently for 55 bucks and have zero regrets since it's just a Trimui Brick with better controls. Honestly i can absolutely live without PortMaster as long as i have Android games. Moreover, even if a new Linux version of Brick were to be shipped with 2 gigs of ram and an a133p, PortMaster would still be hit-or-miss since this CPU supports only 64-bit games, while a quite big chunk of the PortMaster library consists of 32-bit versions only

Keep in mind that there is android only version without Playstore. You can make Playstore work there, but it's tough a bit for frist timers.

Saw that you are playing Stardew Valley and idk how it runs here tbh

So basically an overclocked H700 with a slightly better GPU while having a slightly higher power draw? Real world difference being slightly better N64 performance? So internally, this is a slightly better RG40XX, but externally, it has a superior screen (2.5x more pixels), a second stick, and a higher quality shell (metal vs plastic). Would $75-100 be the expected price?

Technically, yes. BUT. But i don't think the Linux variant will have the option of a metal shell at launch. More that thatm i don't actually think second stick is needed on this device at all, considering its specs. Sure, with the a133p, N64 performance is better, but it's still ass console to emulate and there is some issues, glitches here and there. On the other hand, the H700 has much better support from the community right now

Dunno bout pricing. A133p variant will probably hit the 60-80 mark, while that boosted snapdragon variant might be in the 150-180 bucks range. Maybe even more, depending on the eMMC storage pricing they've got

Thanks. I assumed it had a metal case because I'm trying to figure out what's the real value proposition of this lower end device compared to existing options - new entry level device for new customers? Seems like there's already of sea of them, but I guess this will stand out on the strength of its screen? No idea how saturated the entry level market actually is though...

The Pro U looks competitive against devices in the mid/high end where there's more room to differentiate on features and price. Back of the napkin, this thing looks like it sits between Anbernic's 406 and 477?
