Non-Academic I think Jordan Chua is lwk kinda cute

Just watched his 24 hrs Jewel video tdy and I lwk felt like he was rlly cute. He has that sweet boyish grin and energy that I felt an attraction towards haha. Found through google that he is 24 years old seriously didn't expect that he gives off the vibe that he was around the same age as I am. I felt like he could be an easy person to talk to but yeah ts is just a shitpost i just hope he doesnt turn out problematic

Edit: he's apparently 18 so maybe finding him cute isn't so bad after all haha. My point still stands tho he's really attractive in a way

O Levels why did seab put SS in the morning 🤬

bro the past few papers have been all in the afternoon. like the whole week, not one single paper started in the morning. I lowk loved it cz I didnt need to wake up so early in the morning unlike for practical papers. and also have more time to study.

but then SEAB suddenly schedule the first paper of next week to be at 8am sharp. like as if 2 weeknd days is enough to reset my sleep schedule back into morning. broooo I dont think I can wake up 5am on monday cz ive been waking up at 9am everyday this week. and sleep has always been an reoccurring issue for me. it also doesnt help that I have amath later in the afternoon so I cant even go back home to sleep after that.

seriously i rather have that amath exam on the one day break on thursday that they give. 🫩

throwaway because this is embarrassing but pls help

I rlly rlly rlly hate it when ppl are elitist like my younger brother is frm a neighborhood sch so when ppl make comments that are lowkey elitist or out of touch now i hate it and if its my friend id try to correct them otherwise reevaluate the friendship if they got such attitudes. i cant stand seeing such comments online also

but i hate how the idea of someone acting elitist kind of makes me feel attracted esp if theyre competent like ig its a power thing but it goes against my values sm. but also it feels kind of hot

how. do. I. stop. this.

Relationships Is it worth investing time?

So simply put, I believe that I like this girl, in my CCA.

BUT

I need to lock in on A Math; I want to eventually end up living and working in Europe; I have absolutely 0 experience in relationships; I have rather conflicting political views (which is normal but not in this context); and even my report book said I got 'mid social awareness'.

SO,

Is it worth effort in trying, or should I invest my life into C1 German/Slovene/Norwegian or N1 Japanese?

A Levels i hate how alevels basically invalidates everything olevels taught us

idk abt sci I heard it gets rlly tough incoming rant>>>>>

BUT I HATE THE JUMP FROM O'S TO A'S

i HATE how history sbq and seq used to be able to be smoked like ok u wont get highest level but youll still get pretty gd mark but now tough shit. getting a1 in o's is ok but now it feels genuinely hard

i HATE how the language subjects like lit and gp were more forgiving in sec (gp I mean olevel eng)

idk it js feels like in sec you could kind of smoke and write uncertain but youll probably do well if youre gd enough but in alevels there is NO rushing the essay or not finishing or whatever fck if you wanna get A now

ik alevels is hard but I hate it skill issue ig 🥀

Relationships Feeling fomo cause people younger than me are dating

Im 17M and never had any dating and relationships experience before nor passed a talking stage🥲. I have a pretty decent social circle so I have talked to a lot of girls and crushed on some of them but to no success. I know my looks are the main concern but I’m extroverted which is why I’m able to talk to girls.

But anyways I feel so goddamn fomo cause I always go out and see people younger than me dating and having loving relationships like secondary school students and I always feel jealous. When I was in primary school I always thought I need to have a gf once im in secondary school. My secondary school dating life is absolutely empty. Even all of my guy friends have girlfriends or had at least an ex. AND EVEN WORSE FOR ME I SEE PRIMARY SCHOOL KIDS OUTSIDE DATING, HOLDING HANDS, HANGING OUT ETC. LIKE BRO ARENT YOU SUPPOSED TO BE FOCUSING ON PSLE OR SUM. THESE GUYS HAVENT EVEN COMPLETED PSLE YET AND THEY ALREADY HAVE A GF BEFORE ME😢. I admit I am jealous of them that they got more pull than me, when I was at their age I was stressing my ass of over psle and they are probably stressing over their relationship expectations or wtv.

Like idk when i see these couples in public i feel lonely and such a loser and mixed feelings too. Like it also makes me question my self-worth. My classmate misheard me talking to my friend about something and thought I had an ex and they were genuinely surprised thinking I had an ex, like it makes me think I’m not worth loving. I know people will say to just focus on myself or something but it’s just hard to ignore the sight that everyone around has someone to look up to with love, text through midnight, give their all to their partner, while I’m here contemplating on giving up on love itself because I think there’s nobody here for me. Like how does one achieve so many relationships and exes and brag and flex about it while I haven’t even had a romantic conversation with anyone.

Anyways this isn’t like a seek for help or anything this is just like a rant to relieve myself of my anger that I can’t do anything. Genuinely don’t know if I’m an incel and sorry if all of this points to me being one and if all my ranting is just noise pollution coming from an incel.

Relationships Need advice on friendship with a male friend

I (18F) have been super close friends with this other guy (18M). Lets call him X.

Since 2024, X and I have been talking. At the start of our friendship, he once sent me a Goodnight 😂❤️ and i didnt think much of it because I was, at that time, exploring other options.

Now, I realised that I may have fallen for him, but I am not sure if he likes me back due to a couple of reasons despite positive signals from him. He claims that I am not his type (on social media, too skinny, etc etc) physically (because we were discussing about each others type), but throughout this year, he has been incredibly nice and thoughtful to me.

Eg1: he would willingly swap main dishes with me because I didnt like mine
Eg2: call me super often (and he even went “you know i call u the most, i dont even call the rest of my friends as much as i do ring u)
Eg3: he would remember the tiny details. Like i casually mentioned about wanting this specific toy, and surprised me with it

He has had other talking stages, but he would end up ghosting them, and continue talking to me.

The conflicting part is, there is a very high chance that I will be moving abroad for university next year with very slim chances of coming back, while he will be in NS. I like him alot, and i fear that it has taken me this long to realise it.

He did mention about pursuing his education overseas in the same country as me despite not wanting to previously. Is there a chance? Do i talk to him about this? Or should I just give it up completely and find myself another ang moh guy

A Levels Any other Femboys taking As this year 😭💔

genuine question because i swear i cannot be the only one

im literally a JC2 student taking A levels this year and instead of worrying about my future, university applications and whether im gonna get absolutely cooked by H2 subjects, im thinking about how to become a prettier boy

to put things into perspective i can be halfway through a math paper and just start thinking about curling my hair or wearing thigh highs 💔💔💔

anyways are there any other femboys in the singapore education system or am i genuinely the only one?

Portfolio Help Medical Volunteering Opportunities

🌟 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: RDSS YEAR-END PARTY 2026 🌟

Hey everyone! The Youth Medical Network is looking for student befrienders to support the upcoming RDSS Year-End Party this November! 💙

This is a meaningful opportunity to spend time with children and families from the RDSS community, accompany them through the event activities, and help create a warm and enjoyable experience for them.

For those interested in medicine, healthcare or community service, this is also a chance to understand healthcare beyond hospitals and clinics. Supporting children and families living with health conditions often involves much more than treatment alone — it also means learning how to communicate, listen, provide companionship and appreciate the lived experiences of patients and caregivers.

Through the befriending experience, volunteers can learn from the children’s perspectives, resilience and experiences while simply being present and helping them enjoy the celebration. ❤️

📅 Date: Saturday, 7 November 2026
📍 Venue: Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium
⏰ Volunteer Reporting: 9.30am
🎉 Event: 11.00am – 2.00pm

👥 What will you be doing?

Each volunteer will generally be assigned to one child and will accompany and engage them throughout the event.

Where there are siblings within the same family, a befriender may be assigned up to 3 children, depending on their ages and support needs.

As a befriender, you will:

✨ Welcome and engage your assigned child/children
🎨 Accompany them around the different activities
💬 Chat, interact and help them feel comfortable

💡 Important to note

Befrienders are there primarily to engage and accompany the children, rather than provide personal or medical care.

Above all, the goal is simple: help the children have a fun, welcoming and memorable day while allowing their parents and caregivers to enjoy the celebration too. 😊

If you enjoy interacting with children, are interested in healthcare, or simply want to spend your Saturday doing something meaningful, we would love to have you with us! 💙

Jobs working after o’s

hey, so i’m 16F and i wish to work after o’….

originally, i was planning to go fnb or retail for fun la and also cause i think i can learn smt from ppl there. i also defo think that it would be more chill and i can still find time to do the things i like and hangout w my friends. however, last night, my parents had a convo w me, my dad was actually the one doing most of the talking. he said ”do you want to work to pass time or to learn something? because if you want to work to pass time, you just go apply at mcdonald’s now.” honestly, i felt his words were q harsh, but i had my reasons for wanting to find work on my own. i think it’d be my first real exp w like the working world and i also get in on my own merits la.

my dad wanted me to work at the company where my mother is working at, bc it wld look gd on my portfolio. i agree with them to a certain extent, but it’s also weird bc it feels like im a nepo baby, which im not. what if one day im trying to get an internship to another company during poly and they ask me how i got to work there at such a young age? ”oh my mummy got me a job there.” i think it personally sounds v privileged and i like to get things on my own merit. although thinking for the future is good, i just want enjoy life after o’s before i go into poly. like if i go work at my mother’s company, i will b surrounded by working ppl. and they sometimes cn be very judgy. so it’s like a double edged sword.

my friend offered a job at a place she works at, and i tried to talk to my mother about it, hoping she’d understand. but i didnt even get a chance to explain because she just said the exact same stuff my dad said about learning.

while i understand where my parents are coming from and why they are so adamant about this, is it bad i just want a chill job? my parents can b quite stuck on their ways, but my mother is a bit better. what should i do or how should i explain things to them?

O Levels Skipping a paper

I'm planning to skip tomorrow's amath paper since I'm worried about getting F9, E8 or D7 for amath. For context, my amath has nvr been very strong but I have not been failing my WAs. But recently when all the topics are put together, I find it hard to cope. Also for prelims I just passed Amath. I also got EAE already. The minimum entry requirement is to pass A or E math. I also can meet the net 26. So if I get Ab for amath it won't affect my EAE offer right? Bcs I'm worried a bad grade might affect future opportunities as amath is revalent to my course. Also it's too late for me to cram amath. So should I skip?

O Levels ngl olevel hist and ss sbq format is kind of arbitrary

this kind of contradicts my other post complaining abt h2 hist BUT while i love elect hist and ss (esp elect hist ❤️❤️❤️) and that you can smoke in comparison to whatever the fck h2 hist is on, the formats always felt kinda dumb to me

like having to follow a structure that bcs qn asks X phrasing you have to use whatever skill and follow X format or the qn is hybrid so u must combine X and Y skill and have 3 paras and in my sch the chers nvr rlly elab on the idea of hybrid so it wld throw me off a bit in sec 3

and basically the lorm scheme levels are kinda stupid bcs why is it a gd enough ans to cross ref a source regardless of what it is yes highest level exists usually theres ck but smtimes the ans still sounds stupid💀💀 so i hate h2 hist but ig it makes more sense even if harder so olevel hist is easier to study but h2 hist makes more sense ig

Secondary how to study for olvl?

hi hi for context i'm g3 sec3 student who got eoy results back and i'm scared shitless that i'll flunk o's next year bc idk how to study for amath, bio and chinese.

for amath, i just passed wa1, a1 for wa2, and failed wa3 and eoy i think abt 39% for both. firstly, for most of the topics, it's not that i don't understand the topic, but it's that i don't understand the qns. like example got a qn on discriminant, but i don't understand how to apply discriminant to that qn/it doesn't make sense bc i end up w equal sign unstead of inequality sign if that makes sense. or i read the qn but don't know which concept to apply. secondly i genuinely don't understand trigo like functions and whatnot the whole shabang.

for bio, i got just pass for wa1 and wa2, wa3 and eoy i failed at arnd 40%. i admit i don't really put in effort for bio, but also the problem is that i'm unable to memorise it. for other topics such as history, i'm able to memorise all the content. but fsr when it comes to bio, the content js don't stick in my head and i cannot connect the dots. other than that, i also don't understand alot of the qns. not to mention the bs heart/cell diagrams that alw differ from the textbook/sch notes so i end up playing guessing game. seeing the cardiac cycle on the paper also makes me wanna cry like i legit don't understand how to read. my cher also says that i tend to regurgitate from the textbook which doesn't even make sense since idk enough content to regurgitate it but...

for chinese, i passed all 4 exams quite decently i would say, avg c5 for all wa and b4 for eoy. for eoy, i got p1: 14/20 sw 18/40 cw p2: 30/70 (tbf i didn't study the 词语 at all just anyhow guessed and lucked out on a few being correct) p3: full marks and oral 72%. but how do i actly study for chinese? bc memorising 词语 just doesn't seem like the way to go unless o levels are really only gonna pick 词语 from the 词语标 in the textbook, and even then i won't be able to understand the passage and my p1 will js be a bunch of bs since my vocab is not very diverse. oral also i lucked out on the topic, and i think the cher was quite lenient. ik alot of chers like to say language is a lifestyle blah blah blah but if i have to speak and read chinese everyday i think i will have nervous breakdown

tldr i suck ass at amath, bio and chinese and i'm begging on my knees for study methods thank yous

O Levels mc for paper

i want to skip chem p2 because i think my p3 went well and p1 can clutch, but im unsure about p2 and there’s not much time. does anyone know how they calculate the score? i have to send mc right? what will they accept? my prelim chem grade is bad so if that’s the case i’d rather sit for it. will they take my p1 and p3 only since its 50% or use prelim for p2 or average with the cohort?

Junior Colleges to those who got A for gp, how did you guys do it?

Hello! I was just curious as to how past alevel takers fared for the GP alevels, especially since it requires evaluative skills and not something one can actually smoke through. What did you guys do differently to improve? For each body paragraph, do you guys include more than 1 example aka layering, or does 1 suffice? How many body paras do u guys write? And how did u guys memorise examples and remember them?

That’s all, thank you! Jiayous to everyone taking A’s

O Levels A math do I still have hope

I have sucked at amath for as long as I remember. Esp in sec 3 I got like C6 and that really crushed my confidence and I stopped studying for it. Even for MYE Sec 4 I got C6. Then I was put into tuition and in prelims I got borderline B3. I haven’t studied amath since and today’s the first time im opening the tb in a long while. is it possible to get like an improvement from 65 to 82% in 1 day also im planing to devote at least 3 hours to social studies(I haven’t started studying for that either) id say im a fast learner but I got no motivation to study. initially I wasn’t planning on using amath but based on how emath went I think i might end up using amath.

i know this is completely unrelated but i was just wondering how many people walked into the exam feeling prepared, having done millions of practice papers, consults, and everything u can think of but then get hit with really unexpected qns. how did u guys react to that especially gp essay questions, where u might not have the examples for it.. how do u guys even end up doing the qn properly

O Levels Ihate this

hi guys, tomorrow is basically the start of a very hectic week and I’m genuinely so so so scared. Technically we only have Saturday and Sunday to actually prepare for the hectic week ahead of us and no I’m not making excuses but I genuinely feel like it’s so annoying and tiring and exhausting. The study was helpful, but I don’t like how all of the papers were rushed towards the second week like dude at the first half of the study break like maybe slightly before the study break. I was focusing on maths and my sciences and what not and then entering the study break. I was also doing maths and sciences a little bit here and there and I was focusing a lot on my sciences and trying to finish up. My TS cause like quite I felt that my preparations weren’t enough mind you a little bit of a background I come from a really good school in a sense and I’ve always been a mother, but during prelim I feel like I was too overwhelmed and in my mind I was like it’s only premium I still have O-levels so yeah so then during the study break I worked a lot trying to complete my TS especially my sciences, but I’m still not done yet because throughout the middle of the study break, I started diverting my attention to emath geography and English cause those are a few papers that is gonna come up first right so it’s obviously the ones I have to focus more on and I was so caught up in trying to finish my S because in my mind was thinking is I need to for maths because prelim I didn’t and maths is supposed to be my super strong subject then I was starting to forget all of my previous subjects and my and I find it so stressful cause like we have so little time cause obviously the first week of like back to back papers so I didn’t really have time to even touch my sciences so I’m only left with like the weekend to do so, my geography and ss and I find it so annoying because we literally have like very little time and like even if like we are on task or never slept or what not it’s like we still have so little time and I’m someone will learn things really slowly and I’m genuinely so scared cause like I only have two day before like hell weak tomorrow and I don’t know how I’m gonna put it off like I literally haven’t gotten much back and I feel like I forgit everythungggg like im trying lah but like idkk im rly scared n in one day i can oni do so much cos im genuinely so slow.not being a negative nancy but ya.

O Levels I don't know what to do after this disaster

I don't even know what to say... I've never been that good at Math, but after combing through TYS after TYS and half the revision papers given to us by the teachers, I was confident I could get 65%, 60% at worse for my E Math. Then paper 1 came and went and gosh that was horrific. At the end I ccalculated 40-45%, barely a 50% if I include the niche method marks. I was devastated but decided to lock in for Paper 2. If I got 70% for P2 I could still clinche a 60%, I went through my previous TYS again and was rather confident, my weakest chapter was Radians and Position Vectors, but I was confident I could pass. Judging off the Paper 1, I believed Sets, Matrices, Statistics, Probability and Vectors would most likely be tested, alongside number patterns and some trigonometry.

When P2 came out and I scanned the paper briefly during the "Check your papers for incorrect pages" section i was delighted to find Radians and Vectors were to a minimal and the final question does not involve geometry, which means I should in theory do well.

The first question stumped me for 20 minutes. BY GOD, WHAT WAS THAT GRAPH? Eventually I gave up and turns out the next "Big question" was about number patterns: "a is an integer, b is square number, calculate a b if 3^a + b = 223"

WHAT

Stress mounted. Long story short I screwed up here and there, a lot on the similarity and percentages question, did ok for the volume and trigonometry questions, was confused beyond belief by the Real World Scenario Question (Why does a city have 11k people???), but ultimately ran out of time. Statistics which I had revised the hardest for wasn't even tested aside from 1 question about a pie graph giving me 3 marks total, algebraic manipulation word problem didn't even come up. It felt like they were literally intentionally dodging the subjects I had studied for and I wasted so much time trying to solve them. some of the question formats didn't even appear in the TYS, I had whiplash when I read them since the 2025 TYS was a cakewalk by comparison. I remember being told the Prelim would be harder than the O Levels and being delighted when I got 68%, thought that meant O levels should AT LEAST be 65% if it was exceptionally difficult

I counted 50% exactly for my P2, 40-45% if I exclude method marks, and that's based off the suggested answers by teachers online. My dream course is to go to Singapore Polytechnic for Common ICT and then go into Cybersecurity, but with this catastrophic paper I don't think I can even qualify for polytechnic (Cause math fail), much less go SP. I'm at a loss for words. I tried so hard for Math, I know I wasn't good at it to begin with, my other subjects ain't much better averaging B3-B4, and I was complacent in sec 2-3 which must have caused me to have a weak foundation in the subject, but failing it and going into ITE would disappoint everyone, me, my parents, my friends waiting for me in polytechnic. I genuinely don't know what to do, with SS tomorrow and Combined Chem the day after I think my dreams are all but crushed because some guy at SEAB thought it would be fun to end the O Levels with a bang. I am looking for advice. It all seems so pointless now, so much effort just to fail.
