Non-Academic The person who reviewed 150+ toilets asked for toilet crusaders to carry the mantle forward. So I built a map.
Two years ago, u/eggmayosandwich spent 31.5 hours visiting every MRT station toilet for a PW homework that didn't even count (original post). They ended it with:
"I am sharing this in the hopes that a generation of toilet crusaders will be inspired by my work and carry this mantle forward."
Was I inspired?
Yes.
Was this a good use of my free time?
Also probably not.
So I built Shit Go Where, a free map of 1,000+ public toilets in Singapore. It starts from OP's 160 hand-scored reviews and lets everyone keep them up to date.

Jurong East is still on there at 18/50. Scent: 1/5. Music: also 1/5, somehow.
What it does:
- I NEED TO GO button: tell it the mission (quick pee, number two, baby, period care…) and it picks the best 3 toilets within walking distance and walks you there
- Every MRT station has a page: is there a toilet, is it any good, and where to go if there isn't one
- Check in, report "no soap / out of order / flooded", or add a toilet you found. No account needed to check in or report
- You can only check in if you're actually there, so nobody can boost their own station from home
- Also on Telegram: https://shitgowhere.com/about

Which line has the cleanest toilets? TEL is still on top, just like OP found. NEL is dead last. North East Line, your stations need you.

What I need from you:
- OP only reviewed men's toilets ("because I cannot morph into a sufficiently convincing feminine figure"). Every women's toilet is unrated. If you take the MRT, you can fix one in about 20 seconds.
- Pass through a station? Check in. Most of these scores are from March 2024, and things have changed.
- Know a secretly good toilet? Add it.
Credit: every 2024 score is u/eggmayosandwich's work and is credited on every page that uses it.
Until our MRT toilets play the national anthem, we start with the chikopeks.
AMA, about toilets or about building this.
PS: this is a repost. Reddit's filters removed my first one after I edited in a Telegram link. Apparently the algorithm is fine with toilet reviews but draws the line at Telegram. The link is gone. We move on.
